▼ Exhausted from a long day of class, Elisa Fawley was sprawled out in her favorite armchair, taking a gentle snooze. Though she was often up late at night, sneaking out with friends, to her credit she didn't fall asleep in class and saved watching the backs of her eyelids for little times like this, when the common room was quiet and no one was around to talk to. She had come close to dozing off in her last hour, History of Magic, but had caught herself just in time. A quick, hard pinch to the skin on her leg had taken care of the problem for the rest of class. As she lounged, eyes closed, it was the little thoughts, like that, that drifted through her head... mainly things about the upcoming Christmas break. How she was going to see her sisters; wondering where they were and how they were doing; how it would be fun, but she'd miss her friends; and pondering how she felt about her mother, and Death Eaters. She heard the common room door open out of the corner of her consciousness, but ignored it at first, thinking it was a younger year who would just pass by. However as the heavy footsteps crossed the room towards her, she recognized the gait pattern. It was Scorpius Malfoy. Funny he come walking in now. Instantly Elly was excited. She always enjoyed talking to him, and they often did here in the common room. They had met several years ago and struck up a quick friendship. He was the reason that she even attended the Quidditch games at all. That might sound creepy, but it wasn't because she had a crush on him or anything. Well she did, but- that was not why she liked to watch him play Quidditch. He was the only one on the team that she even remotely liked. Albus Potter was the keeper, for instance- and though Elisa respected that family to an extent they were still filthy mudbloods, the whole lot. Elisa opened her eyes and stretched a little, then turned to smile at her friend. Attractive as the devil, that one was. He dazzled her every time he walked into the room. "Hi, Scorpius," she waved and (sleepily) said.

Scor had just finished an after class afternoon run. When he returned to the common room, he was pleased to have the opportunity to stretch in a nearly empty room, not that he would mind people seeing him all sweaty and fine looking like he was. He wore a light black tank shirt with a gray hoodie over it, long sweat pants donning his legs. After stretching, he used a small towel that he had prepared in advance to wipe the sweat from his shoulders.
He rolled his neck once or twice before his eyes landed on non other than Elisa Fawley, sleeping in an armchair. His adorable friend and favorite fourth year. He crossed over to her, his smug smile on his face as per usual. "Hey El," he replied to her greeting as her eyes opened and she waved sleepily at him. "What are you up to?" he asked in his usual voice, dripping with charm. He stretched his right arm across his chest as he sat in the seat diagonally adjacent to hers.

▼ Once Elisa's eyes got more used to the light again, she realized that he had just come in from a workout. That was typical Scorpius- not the type to just sit around. Wether he was out on the pitch or jogging on some Hogwarts castle back road, he was out and about. Being amazing, as well. Everyone thought that he was pretty cool. Elisa included. "Hey El, What are you up to?" El was a nickname that he exclusively used for her, and that no one else had picked up on yet. It made her smile. She thought of his voice as having more of a friendly, happy sound than a charming one. Perhaps it was just the way her ear interpreted it. Though yes she maintained a crush on him it was one of those that was born out of respect and brotherly love. He wished he could be her big brother. Perhaps they would initiate a purge together. That would be a joy. "Oh, just trying to catch up on my sleep while everyone's away." She chuckled a bit. Elisa had a rare off hour right now and no one was around so she had just decided to crash in this chair. "I probably shouldn't have expected it to work." As he sat she stretched a bit, trying to get her muscles awake again. "What distant corner of the school did you run to this time?" Even if it was a repeat route that she had heard before, she liked to listen to him talk about it.

He chuckled, "I know how that is. I don't get any sleep when people are around. They all just want to talk to me sooo much," he winked a joking wink at her. She was one of the people who saw Scorpius in the common room, clearly, and he really did try to be the center of attention and it took little effort. He really was just that interesting. He wasn't surprised that people gravitated to him. He could interact easily with people from all walks of life, so it wasn't surprising that he was often busy with socializing.
"Sorry, would you rather I left?" he said, pretending he was going to get up but just smiling and sitting back down again as she stretched. If she had actually wanted him to leave she would have told him, he never knew El to beat around the bush.
At her question he smiled even more. Scorp loved it when people wanted to talk about him, he just had so much to say. "Well, just around the lake for the most part, nothing special," the physical activity of the run wasn't special, but he was thinking very specific thoughts as he did it. He was trying to decide who to take as a date to the Slug Party. At that moment, he cocked an eyebrow at Elsa. "Hey, what are you doing Friday?" he asked.

▼ "Of course you don't," Elisa chuckled good-naturedly. "But it's not like you want to be talked back to." Scorpius was quite the center of attention where there was a crowd of people. Mudbloods and purebloods alike admired his looks. Not to mention that he was just so friendly, and willing to talk to everyone. Elisa couldn't even hope of matching up. Her group of friends was rather limited, and she looked down on those with muggle genes. So Elly really had more enemies than friends. "No, no, it's fine." Elisa was fully aware that he was joking, and sensed even before he moved to sit back down that he would do so. Still she moved herself so that she didn't seem like she would fall asleep during their conversation, sitting up the rest of the way. She stretched again and placed her feet back on solid ground before finally looking up into his eyes.
Though that grin appeared again he almost blew off her question about where he had gone. Which was odd; his runs were a favorite topic, and Elisa was perfectly fine with letting him talk about himself. So unless he suddenly had something else on his mind that should have lasted longer than it did. This quickly proved itself to be the case as he asked out of the blue, "Hey, what are you doing Friday?" "Nothing scheduled, why?" She answered his question and cocked eyebrow. ▲ @scorp MADE BY VEL OF GS

Scorpius just shrugged smugly as Elisa joked along with him about the fact that he really was rather popular. "It's quite hard work being so adored you know," he smiled smugly at her but chuckled a little. He would never deny that people, especially in Slytherin house, liked having him for company. He really tried his best to not discriminate, so it was rather easy for him to make friends.
Scorpius was glad when she readjusted into a less comfortable position, so as to show that she was giving him her full attention. The girl was a fiery little thing, and she clearly enjoyed a good reckless run around rather than class or studying but Scorp still thought she was excellent company, even if she wasn't as openly intellectual as he. He smiled brightly at her as she sat up and made eye contact with him.
Scorpius's eyes lit up as she said that she had nothing scheduled for this Friday. "Excellent. Well, there is this party that I have to go to... there will be dinner, dancing, socializing and some good old fashioned banter, I'm sure... want to join me?" he raised an eyebrow at the younger girl.

▼ "Adored... I think that's going a little bit over the top though, I'd say that you are more like, worshipped." He voice was unignorably laced with sarcasm. Not over the truth of the statement, but the illogicalness of it. True, she was a great person to talk to (she was glad that Scorpius saw that in her), Elisa's discrimination was going to be the very reason that she would be hated for the rest of her life. Or, at least she was thoroughly convinced. Though she, too, found it easy to make people gravitate to her and could carry a conversation pleasantly and to others' satisfaction, as well as touch on anything and everything, it was harder to make true friends stick. It was tough, not quite as simple as the way some people tested to see if the spaghetti was done.
That smile just reeled her in; his eyes lit up. And then the real kicker came. It took her a moment to process what he had just said. But in the end she managed to get it all registered in her data banks without freezing up and becoming all awkward. He was inviting her to a party! It was a wholly unexpected move, one that nearly locked her up on its own. Never in a million years did she expect to be asked to a party by Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy! "I would be honored to join you." She heard herself say, and a grin grew on her face. "This would be the Slug Club Party, right?" That was the only one still scheduled to go on before the end of the semester and the start of spring break. Wow, would she have stories to tell her sisters and mother when she got home for the holidays!

Scor couldn't help but laugh out loud as she tossed the word 'worshiped' into the joke. "Oh, of course! I'd not be surprised if a club was dedicated to my very name," he laughed once more. he couldn't keep a straight face about this for much longer. He knew he was a fine specimen, sure, but he would never actually think that someone worshiped him. Granted, it wouldn't be completely outrageous... "What about you? Where is your bevvy of adoring fans?" he asked. Yes, Elisa was a pretty popular girl as far as he could tell. She was usually well surrounded with friends and having a good laugh. He liked that about her, she wasn't afraid to have some fun. Unlike he, who would forget about fun as soon as some intellectual topic arose...
He smiled even wider when she agreed to join him at the party. "Slug Club, indeed!' he responded, proud of being a member. he knew she wouldn't be one yet, considering you had to be a sixth year. Oh, and you had to have good grades. A shame that she didn't focus on that more. "I'd be honored to have you join me. It's a date!" he reached over and tapped her on the knee lightly, adding a little emphasis to the word 'date'.
