Noah wanted to roll her eyes as she responded. He didn't much feel like arguing the point any more. Maybe someday she'd come to understand. But clearly she wasn't ready, nor even willing to consider the idea that she was hurting herself. Who was he to try to convince someone that chose to remain in such blatant denial?
THough, as he was about to find out, she was in much more denial than he'd even considered. He didn't notice her hands shaking yet, as he'd pocketed his wand, then bent down to retrieve the now intact glass. He didn't really understand her words though. "Well... if she's at Hogwarts then obviously?" he questioned, still not really sure where the statement, or her "being sick" comment was coming from. He straightened and set the glass down on the counter, finally looking back at the blonde with an eyebrow raised. Before he could get a good look at her though she'd rushed to the sink, leaning over it as she gagged and heaved. Well, he supposed she was really sick. But why was she suddenly sick? Had it just come on without warning?
Now, despite not knowing exactly waht was going on, Noah felt concerned. Why was she throwing up? Why was she so pale? He hesitated to approach her though, as he didn't know this woman and he doubted she'd even want or accept any pity from him. Finally though, after hesitating again He took a step closer. HE was about to open his mouth when she managed to speak, though the two words didn't make sense to him. They didn't... what? His eyebrows furrowed together in both confusion and concern. "What?" Though, she seemed to move on, saying she needed a drink. Still, very concerned, he moved to open the fridge and pull out a pitcher of cold water, and filled the glass again. He held it out to her. "Here, just sip it."
Why on earth was she sick so suddenly?

She was still attempting to place everything that was happening as everything she had trouble explaining suddenly seemed to be caused by magic. Even if she had no idea if people were actually magic. It was so much easier to blame everything on magic once it was real and all of a sudden that play she'd seen with Rus didn't seem quite so silly anymore. What if stuff like the Fae and all that was real? Who was to say what was even real in her life? She tried to take some steadying breaths but she felt like she was sufficating. He was a wizard, but there was nothing but his little wooden stick that had been able to tip her off. They were amongst the regular population, just hiding in plain sight. No pointy hats or crooked noses.
If she went to Hogwarts she obviously was a witch? Wait, that meant that Brígh was a witch as well, considering she went to the same school as her sister. Was Brígh okay in those fires? She needed to text her friend to make sure now. Or at least make sure that she was okay. Wait, but that boy from school she'd had a crush on, Albus, that also made him a witch or warlock or whatever. She was surrounded by them. How many were there even? Was she the exception. She felt even more dizzy as her brain failed to process all the information. "Of course..." She muttered, completely and utterly disoriented and not even sure if it was all that logical or obvious to her. Maybe it should have been.
The guy opened the fridge and poured her a glass, for which she was eternally grateful. The same glass she'd shattered moments ago. She looked at it for a moment, wondering if it would break apart in seconds. She tightened her grip on it slightly but when it didn't spring apart she brought one shaking hand with glass up to her lips to take a small sip. The cold of the water felt like a breath of fresh air in her lungs after being stuck under water for a long time. She took a deep breath and leaned her head against the kitchen cabinet, closing her eyes and trying to slow her breathing. Then she remembered the handsome stranger she'd met once and the fact he called her cat a Kneazle. She wasn't familiar with the breed but her most beloved pet most certainly was far too smart. Was it possible that Spot was magical too? For some reason that would explain the mysterious way that her old neighbours had died around the time her dad had been cheating on her mother. She frowned and looked at Noah. "What is a kneazle exactly? Somebody said my cat is one, but I didn't recognise the breed. He used to belong to my neighbours but he sort of adopted me after they died." It had been so many years ago, but not so long that it was beyond the normal life expectancy of a cat. Maybe kneazles lived longer too? She could hope so, as it meant she'd have her most beloved pet by her side much longer.
Maybe if she normalised this to her mind, she'd start feeling a little less sick and dizzy. Here was to hope, she mentally toasted to herself before taking another small sip and closing her eyes, hoping the world would stop feeling like it was spinning around soon.

Emrys enjoyed photoshoots. Why? That was an easy question to answer. He was the center of attention, and he could, truly make love to the camera. Though he didn't look forward to this one. Charlotta had scheduled it for the early hour of one in the afternoon. He had barely woken up before he had Charlotta in his place and badgering him to quickly get ready. They then quickly headed to the location. He was greeted by makeup and hair. His normally grumbling attitude was quickly morphed as the lovely people fixated over him. They worked on giving him the look they were going for, and he lazily flirted, enjoying the attention. Then they moved into costume, where he let the wardrobe help undress, then dress him. It was all so normal for him, but it was much steamier than it should have been. All of this reigned in at his managers expressive displeasure. Once he had his first outfit on, he was set in front of the camera and his work really began.
A few wardrobe changes later, he was taking a quick break before the final set, he had received a strange text from Noah, whom he knew was at his place. It was strange, stating that his "blonde friend" was there. That wasn't exactly a clear message. He could think of an astounding number of blond men and women that he was friendly with. Though many had no reason to be at his place unannounced. But, some in the cleaning company were blond, and some of those older woman, who weren't always interested in him, brought much younger girls who tended to be more keen. He shot off a quick reply before he moved back to the set. The thought flew away from his mind as he focused on work, giving a rearrange of expressions, most of them suggestive, into the camera.
Once the shoot was done, he had moved to get back in his normal cloths, just whatever he happened to grab in his waking daze. He checked his phone, with not much more help to Noah's text. Without much more of a thought, he figured his best friend was still at his place, and they could talk it over once he got back. He made his way, body guard in toe, to the complex, entering the building and heading up to the penthouse without the body guard. He was done for the day, and intended to take the rest of the night "easy" or rather, easier. He had an inkling to wright a few more songs. With the bell of the elevator ringing, he got off into the small area that only had a large set of double doors into his place. The door was unlocked, perhaps the cleaning people were still here, or if not, his "blond friend" hadn't locked it. No problem. Noah was there, so nothing bad could have happened.
He opened his door, hearing some talking, though not fully gathering the words they were saying. He gave a yawn as he walked in, shutting and locking the door behind him. It wasn't that he was locking anyone in, he just didn't want anyone else finding their way from the outside, into his space. He walked passed the entry way, kicking off his shoes and walking into the main living area. He spotted Noah and Xantha. Well, she was one of the possibilities. The girl didn't seem too well. He wondered what was happening. With out much of a thought. He migrated to the kitchen, and instantly draped over Noah's shoulders from the back, relaxing most of his weight onto his friend. "What did you do? I thought I was the one who didn't play well with others." He glanced to his friends face form the corner of his eye, to Xantha. "Wasn't expecting a visit today, but I could rearrange some plans." He said with a careless wink.

The girl did not look good at all. What the hell had happened to bring this on so quickly? She'd been fine minutes before. A real spitefire, with plenty of attitude. Now she was pale and faint, as if she might just collapse at a moment's notice. Noah wasn't skilled in healing magic at all, so this was not a scenario he enjoyed. What the hell was he supposed to do? Take her to St. Mungos or something? At least she'd taken the offered glass and seemed strong enough to take it. He hesitated then. "Are... you okay?" he asked slowly, still unsure how to act, or what to do. IT sounded stupid. Okay? Obviously she wans't okay!
Though he wasn't expecting her next question. Kneazle? "Er... You never learned about them?" he asked, very confused. Had she just not taken Care of Magical Creatures? But Kneazles were common pets, how would you grow up never knowing one? "It's a cat, I guess. Just smarter?" He wasn't a kneazle expert. He didn't know all the differences between them!
That was when he felt a presence at his back. Immediately, as if by instinct, Noah shifted his stance so that he could support himself for what was about to happen. Then, just as he suspected, there was dead weight on his shoulders, Emrys' arms over his shoulders as Emrys just went limp against Noah. "I didn't do anything. She just started throwing up," he answered defensively. Though... wait. Throwing up. Was that why she was here? To tell Emrys he'd gotten her pregnant? God, he knew Emrys took precautions but he wouldn't actually be surprised if that happened. He didn't even attempt to shake off Emrys' weight, just letting his friend be as he was. Clearly this wasn't the first time Emrys had done this.

It was very strange to her to be asked if she was okay. It was not a question that was common in her life. It was more likely to be asked if she was okay to keep going if she had a bad fall at work. They always wanted an honest answer and for her not to wreck her body more than the fall had done to begin with. However, there was no stopping for small things. Wait, did that mean that she needed to consider if she was fit to work with her brain all in knots and tangles like this? It was a fair enough question. She looked at the guy and smiled ever so slightly. He was oddly kind and gentle for somebody that hung around Emrys. Maybe he was actually a friend of his after all.... though she still had her reservations on that end. "I'm just trying to adjust." She said, which was true enough. It was a lot of information to take in when it all washed over like that.
He must have thought she'd also gone to Hogwarts, which obviously wasn't the case. Kneazles were cats according to this guy, although he didn't sound too sure about it. Well, at least it was possible Spot was one then. "Huh.." She managed, nodding slightly to herself and then she shrugged. "There are a lot of things I didn't learn." She said darkly, because she was back to blaming her dad for shutting her out. Now her sisters school was on fire, she still had no idea of Xena was okay and she was sitting on the kitchen floor of a vampire. Yes, there was a lot of stuff she'd never learned about and she felt Kneazles probably shouldn't have been a top priority in that list anyway.
The moment that Emrys came into view, Xantha couldn't help but smile. She felt some of the concerns and worries simply leave her body as her heart got just that little bit lighter, especially when he winked at her. Then her smile faltered ever so sligthly as she remembered the things his friend had said to her, and the fact that this had to mean that Emrys wasn't just pretending to be a vampire. Wait, was he just using her as an easy snack? She didn't really consider that beyond him and maybe the potions were something to do with that? She'd thought they were just nibbles and had never considered it, but now she realised he gave her that same stuff after she'd gotten stabbed and lost a fair deal of blood that way. Well that was a less than pleasant realisation. Xantha shook her head slightly. "He didn't really do anything. Or well, nothing but give me a small demonstration of the stuff they teach at my sisters school, which happens to be on fire. It brought back a whole horde of repressed memories that landed rather badly on the stomach." She said, wanting to clear up a few things. She almost couldn't believe her dad had been gaslighting her pretty much her entire life. That was just cruel.
She sighed and rubbed her temples for a second, taking a big gulp of water. "I think I'm feeling better now, although if you can make some time for me I'd love a distraction." She told Emrys in such a casual way that it was probably abundantly clear to Noah that this was a very common thing, at least the distractions between herself and Emrys. She just couldn't help but stare at him a little, those blood red eyes and the lips behind which his fangs were hidden. The ones she'd always presumed were fake and were just there to add to his persona. Now she realised it wasn't a persona at all. She knew she really shouldn't feel safe around him, but she couldn't help it. There was something about him that made her feel perfectly at ease, like nothing else in the world mattered when she had his attention. Normally it freaked her out a bit but right now? She wanted to drown in that feeling.

The two boys didn't need to mix words when seeing one another. Seconds before putting his weight on his friend, he noticed Noah shifting as if to unconsciously prepare for the added load. It was so natural. He was completely limp, had Noah not prepared, the two would probably have dropped. Xantha seemed to be a bit of a mess, not a state he usually saw her in, but they had been getting more vulnerable as of late. But once he had arrived, it seemed as though the girl brightened up. She still didn't look all too well. What had Noah done? His friend stated that he simply hadn't done anything. "I doubt that, she's not exactly the type to simply throw up." He side eyed his friend, sure that nothing had happened on purpose, but he was confident that Noah had done something. Pregnancy was so far from his mind, he had been careful, with the girl, and she also didn't seem to be the type to co and cry to Emrys if a mistake like that had occurred. So clearly, that thought never actually crossed the vampire.
Moving his sight once again down to Xantha, her smile seemed to lessen. Something had happened. But after some time, she responded that he hadn't "really" done anything. But then she continued, and his smile vanished. He glanced back to Noah. While he did think that she should have already known a lot of this, Emrys wasn't the type to break that bubble that he had noticed the girl was blissfully living in. It seemed as though the façade had now broken, and their was nothing else that could be done. Well, that wasn't entirely true, but Emrys was positive that his Hypnotism would have only worked so much in this situation. It was better to let her process through it. He would have understood if she wanted to leave to process. But she did what she always seemed to do, pulling herself together and mentioning that a distraction was much of what she needed right now. Though it did feel as if she was looking at him with new eyes. His face transformed from questioning, and lazy, into intrigued and wicked. The kind of look that told the girl exactly what he intended to do to help distract her. "Why don't you head up to the sauna, and I'll be up in a moment." He rubbed his head on his friends, much like a cat would as if to explain to both that he would simply have a word with Noah before joining the girl for their usual activity. "Gunna have a word, then I'm all yours." He finally said with a mischievous wink.

If Noah had known that Xantha wasn't aware of the magical world this conversation would have been going a very different way. He never would have used magic, for instance. But her sister was at Hogwarts. She had access to Emrys', a vampire and wizard, loft. Why would Emrys give a muggle who didn't know about magic unrestricted access to a space that would likely have magical objects? But alas, Noah didn't realize. He didn't think that Emrys was that stupid, after all. Maybe the girl in general had just been a very bad student in school and hadn't paid attention? Maybe she'd dropped out? You never knew. Noah tried not to judge but... not knowing about Kneazles seemed like pretty basic to him. He wasn't an expert, so he didn't know all the difference. He hadn't taken Care of Magical Creatures, after all. But he knew that they were a feline magical creature that could breed with regular cats. Hence why they were basically cats, just smarter. A lot smarter. Probably lived a lot longer too. "I... see..." he answered slowly, still not sure how you couldn't know about them.
It seemed Emrys' presence was reassuring to the girl, as her expression changed when the vampire came into sight. Emrys didn't seem bothered by her stopping by the loft either, which confirmed to Noah that this was someone important to his friend. As odd as that sounded. Emrys didn't let periodic flings be in his safe space without him. Though as the girl agreed that he hadn't done anything, he smirked just a little. As if to silently tell Emrys "see? told you", but that smirk vanished. Demonstration of the stuff they teach at my sisters school. That's what she said. The language itself was off. Why "my sister's school" and not Hogwarts? Why a "demonstration of the stuff they teach", as if it was new to her? The more he thought about it, the more his stomach sank. Not knowing much about Hogwarts or having a way to contact the sister. Not fixing the glass herself. Not knowing about Kneazles. Was she.... a squib? No, that wasn't right. Most squibs knew about the wizarding world at least until they were 11, because that was when they would have been determined to be a squib. It would mean having spent the first 11 years learning and watching the magical world. THen... Muggle?! That was the only explanation. The girl's sister was muggle born and the parents hadn't told her about the magical world. What sort of cruel joke was that? How could you not tell the other children about their magical sibling? Noah had gone deathly silent, up until he felt something rub again his head, Emrys' words finally snapping Noah out of his thoughts.
Noah waited until the girl was out of earshot until whispering, his voice sharp but only loud enough for his friend to hear. "Did you give a muggle a key to your flat?!"

Knowing now that magic was real, Xantha found it was easier to begin wrapping her mind around it than she'd expected. Or well, than she could have expected. She'd been surrounded by strange things most of her life and had learned to never ask too many questions because she knew she wouldn't like the answers. Even all those times Emrys had done things she found peculiar, she'd never asked. When he'd taken out the guy at work that had been too fond of her, she hadn't questioned it, not even after discovering the complete and utter personality shift that seemed to have happened over night. Emrys had scared him, and that was all. Now she suspected it was a lot more than just a scare, as the fact glass could be restored without any effort at all like it was nothing seemed like childs play at this point. She had the feeling her sister had mastered that quite a while ago and she was currently in her fourth year.
Emrys suggested that she could go to the sauna and he'd round things up with his friend. She nodded, drained the last water in the glass and got to her feet. "Take as long as you need." She said with a short nod, putting the glass on top of the counter with a brief look, as if to assure herself she was not going mad. Yet the look in his eyes had said enough. He was not put off by what her discovery implied by the looks of it and it made her think that all those times he kissed her neck and made her dizzy had a very different cause than what she'd thought so far. It was all fine, as she didn't think she'd ever been in danger around him. In fact, there was nobody in this world she felt more safe around. She gave Emrys a quick peck on the cheek before grabbing her phone to check for messages and heading towards the sauna. Maybe this was good for her, as it most certainly allowed her a moment of quiet contemplation to sort out at least some of her mind. It would change soon enough, when Emrys came around to distract her.

Their was no doubt that Noah would have a few things to say, but first, it was best to excuse Xantha up stairs. He would do as she asked, provide an excellent distraction for her. He could use a stress reliever as well. She told him to take his time. While he intended to have a good talk with his best friend, he didn't intend on keeping the lady waiting for too long. He gave her a familiar smile. "Get comfortable, I won't be long." He smoothly spoke to her, his eyes giving her a promise of more than a simple distraction. He accepted her small peck, holding a bit of his weight off of his friend.
It took some time, Emrys stood comfortably propped up by his friend. After the girl had left and was out of ear shot, Noah finally spoke. Seems like he finally got it. Well, guess the vampire would be scolded now. Emrys gave a heavy sigh. Dropping his knees so that his friend was literally the only think keeping him from falling on his face. "The girl's thicker than dragon hide when it comes to magic." He commented softly, his eyes closed. "But you had to have caught on to how f***ed up her family is. Guess it's good she knows know." He wasn't sure how he felt, but over all, it didn't exactly seem to affect him in any way. So it wasn't like anything bad would happen. As long as she was fine with the fact he was a vampire, he saw no reason for things to continue in the exact way they had. She knew about magic, and she would be able to process that in her own way and time.
He knew that he didn't exactly answer the mans question, but strait forward wasn't exactly his style when it came down to "real talk." In Emrys' opinion, whatever repercussions came from this, it was her father's fault. That man knew about magic, Emrys could tell. What that man had done was maliciously held back critical information from his daughter. That was cruel. He had whatever was coming to him.

A few painstaking moments followed, the girl disappearing up the stairs before Emrys deemed to respond. Noah just kept still, still bracing both of them because Emrys had seemingly forgotten how to stand up straight. He almost collapsed though when Emrys went completely limp, only catching them by putting a hand on the counter to push against. It wasn't that Emrys was particularly heavy, it was just that Emrys knew how to become complete deadweight, and he took advantage of it. Noah was almost tempted to step away, so Emrys would fall, but he figured hearing Emrys hit the ground would probably bring the girl running back.
Noah let out a slow breath as Emrys explained. He reached up and pinched the bridge of his nose, eyes squeezed shut. Emrys didn't seem too concerned by the events. Technically speaking the family of a muggleborn being told about magic wasn't against the statute of secrecy, because they should already know about it. But still! "Yeah, I could tell," he admitted. Looking back on it she'd seemed pretty determined to ignore magic existed until she couldn't deny it. Though when it came to her family... Well he felt like he couldn't be a complete judge of that. He dropped his hand from his face, his eyes focusing on the bottom of the stairs, where she'd disappeared only a few moments ago. "... Her words were pretty dark," he answered in agreement. Someone else might think Noah was referring to Xantha's responses in the conversation, but Emrys would know better. Emrys was one of the only people that knew most of Noah's secrets. From Erik Esper to his ability to see people's emotions as words. Her's had been particularly... difficult to look at. Noah didn't like looking at words that black. "Tell me more later, I don't want her coming back down looking for you. I don't think I'd be able to stand much more," He turned his head to meet Emrys' gaze. Black words often made Noah feel sick, so he tried not to spend too much time around them. He'd need to go lay down a bit after this, just to process it. But he was pretty sure the girl was probably feeling the same.
After all, it wasn't every day you found out you'd been lied to about magic most your life.
(Wrap it up, Emrys! Noah has his custom now, so just threw in Emrys would know about it. <3 )
