A little bit of a sugar rush always helped the boy to do his homework. Some may not expect Samuel Davis to show up at Honeydukes or even anywhere in Hogsmead because he didn't exactly seem like the type to leave the Library. Sam wasn't the type of person that was often seen hanging out with people in Hogsmeade or really the castle for that matter because he often sheltered himself away from people. His constant awkward nature with a stutter that followed always made him feel as if people were just not in his life because he feared the humiliation after confronting someone’s looks after he stuttered, it caused a lot of anxiety for him. This was not to say that Sam literally had no friends because he did, but they were often off doing their own things as well which was okay by Sam because he was quite an introvert as well, but he didn't mind company every now and again.
The late nights working on school work and the schools paper were starting to drain the boy. He wondered sometimes rather he took too many classes and had too many things on his plate this year because the boy was always tired. This was not something Sam was used to because he used to go to bed at a decent time every night knowing that a fresh mind started with a good night’s rest was the way to a productive day. Luckily for Sam he was starting to realize that school truly did come easy for him even if he wasn't tired. It helped that he had a photographic memory and he could do a once over of materials and it just stuck with him. As of now Sam was working on some Potions homework and he was near falling asleep at the Library's desk as his feet were itching to get up under the table for today was a Hogsmead trip.
Sam loved going to the Three Broomsticks for some butterbeer and he also quite liked the Sweets shop because who didn't love candy? Sam was no different when it came to digging his hands into some Honeydukes sweets and letting his taste buds go wild with delight. The Three Broomsticks and Honeydukes were about the only places Sam went and he often left Hogsmead before anyone else, but from time to time, he was easily spotted at one of these two places. Sam's body quickly led him out of the Library and off on his little journey to Hogsmead because he really was longing for something sweet that could also help him stay alert.
When he entered the shop and opened the door he almost found himself running into someone, the shop being more busy than normal today, probably because the last Hogsmead trip had been cancelled. "S-Sorry!" Sam belted out with a guilty expression on his face, "A-Are you okay?" he stumbled over his words, as he looked up to see who he'd nearly ran into.

Marcia loved to laugh, let go and get a little crazy every once in a while. She was fairly strict about what activities her 'getting crazy' entailed, and candy was one of the approved methods. This was why she loved trips to the village. She needed to stock up on candy for all of the studying that was coming up. She entered the candy shop with her friends but soon got lost among the shelves. She usually went straight for the note chocolaty stuff, but today her sweet tooth was a little off. She found herself pursuing the shelves of the fruity stuff, which really wasn't normally her thing.
But enough candy logic. Marcia soon realized that her friends were no longer in the store. They must have slipped out while she was getting lost in the candy. She shrugged, she'd find them later if she felt like it. She took a bit longer choosing some treats to purchase and was soon heading out the door.
But upon exiting the store, she full on collided into someone. "Oh I'm so sorry! No," she looked up and made eye contact with him, "It was my fault," she stepped to the side as to not block the door anymore. "Really, I'm all right. Are you okay?" she raised an eyebrow in concern.
Then she realized that she hadn't purchased anything chocolate! Now she'd have to go back inside. Well, that wasn't such a bad thing. Although... "it's a little crowded in there right now. Seems everyone is running low," she told the boy who had tried getting into the busy store only to be interrupted by their little colliding incident.

The smell of candy filled his nose the minute the door opened as it left his mind only on what he could put into his hands to take back to Hogwarts. The boy would have never expected to run into a person because his mind just wasn’t completely thinking about the amount of people surrounding the little shop. He was more focused on what he could buy and when he ran into a girl that appeared to be about his age, a look of shock came out upon his face. Sam immediately blamed himself because he knew he’d been more focused on jelly beans, suckers, and chocolate frogs to where he wasn’t paying attention to anything else, except his mission on trying to get to the sweets. He found himself shocked as the young girl explained to him that it had to be her fault, and his face flushed red as he found his awkward nature already appearing without even much communication between the two. Just his luck he couldn’t help to feel because all he’d hoped for was a quick in and out, and now he was stuck at the door, the girl in-between him and the sweets that he’d been craving for quite some time.
Slowly he moved past her, entering the building as he fully turned to give her an uneasy smile. “I-I-I” he coughed, hoping she wouldn’t notice the stutter and the cough was an attempt to hide it and buy himself more time to slow down and get the words out correctly. “I was too obsessed in the head about chocolate frogs that I couldn’t even walk straight. Wasn’t paying attention to where I was going.” he gave a bit of a guilty expression. “Were easily both at fault,” shaking his head, as he shrugged his shoulders. He knew many people were just as eager as himself to load their trunks in their rooms with candy to last them until the next visit. It seemed as of late with the way the world was going that it wasn’t certain these visits were going to be allowed quite as often as they once were. “And, I’m okay. You?” he asked, looking her over as if checking to make sure she didn’t come to any damage upon his hands.
“I’ve noted,” his face still a bit red, not just from the communication, but because Sam was never one for crowds. “A lot of people need to make sure to get their sugar kick,” he laughed. “I need at least a handful of chocolate frogs.” He gestured to a bin of them that was right behind her.

Great. Marcia had probably scared the crap out of this guy. At least, that was her assumption due to the stuttering. She did tend to give off a strong vibe and people usually got freaked out by that. She didn't mean to, exactly... she was just really intense. At least her hair didn't burst into the emerald flames it usually did when emotions were high. This wasn't that big of a situation, thank heavens. "Oh I'm okay! Don't worry. And I understand. Chocolate frogs are the bomb," okay, so people in England didn't really say 'the bomb'. But she was American and that's what they said over there. At least, that's what they said when she was a kid. And the American TV shows... she was trying to stay as American as possible while living in Britain. She didn't want to lose her roots before she hopefully returned home after school.
When he gestured to the bin of frogs behind her, she took a few steps back, possibly elbowing people out of her way, in order to clear the way for him. "I'll stand guard. You grab some!" she said in a mock serious voice, glaring humorously at the people around the chocolate frog bin. This was Marcia. Everything was fun. Everything was a joke. At least everything going on in her life right now, was. Obviously there were more serious things going on, but she didn't have to worry about those now. Not while she had a secret mission to protect the frogs long enough so the boy could get some! After all, she had bumped into him after all. Or he into her. Whatever, either way this was fun.
"Oi, you! Step away from those frogs!" she pointed at someone who just laughed and took a step back, hands in the air. It was one of her good friends, Marcus, though Sam may not know that. Hopefully he just thought she really was insane, that would be funny.
