likes:
books, cats, holidays, when seasons change, dresses, divination, doing my hair, knitting, & doodling

mean people, being sad, mathematics, being alone, burning baked goods, bad hair days, seeing bad things, people who call others "mudbloods,"

overall personality:
I'm very quiet. In social situations, I'm usually the one observing. I don't talk much to people unless I am very close with them. I'm kind of a push over when it comes to confrontation because I don't like raising my voice and I often cower when being scolded. I'm very shy and it's really obvious. I blush at the slightest statements. I'm fair skinned so when I do blush, I look like a tomato. If I'm not talking to my friends, I'm usually looking on quietly or reading a book.
I don't have a mean bone in my body. Okay, maybe that is an understatement (I can get pretty ticked, it just doesn't show.) I like to go out of my way to help those in need. Being kind feels like I am rewarding myself because it just makes me feel good inside. I believe that if one is kind, it can truly bring out the beauty in others. I like to see the good in all people, no matter how man times a day they call me a "mudblood."

history:
When Saorise came into the world, Seamus and Lavender Finnigan had been parents for two years prior. Saoirse was lucky enough to be born with an older brother, one whom would grow up to be one of her closest confidants and friends. Not much was important those first few months of life, but the first major event that Saoirse can remember is her first birthday. Casey had managed to draw all over her face with a permanent marker when their parents were not around. In the moment, Sao did not mind. In fact she quite enjoyed having her brother draw on her face. It tickled. While Casey had gotten into a lot of trouble for it, Sao never got mad at him.
As the Finnigan children got older, they only got closer. The Finnigans lived in a small village with no other magical children or families. Lavender and Seamus were honest with their children about what they were, and Casey and Sao were both accepting of this but the fact that there was no one else around like them and that made Sao feel a little insecure around other children. It was around this time that she became very reserved and shy around other people. She would clam up and blush whenever spoken to in class or by other kids. The only person she was herself around was Casey.
Casey got his Hogwarts letter when he was eleven. Sao was nine. To celebrate the occasion, the Finnigans took the two kids to the park. Sao was a little sad that he best friend would be leaving her for a whole year. It was this day at the park that Sao's life changed. She had been playing on the monkey bars with Casey, Lavender and Seamus close by. Sao then saw something. But not physically. It was something in her mind... a vision. She had seen a kitten... getting hit by a car. She immediately began to sob and after Casey summoned their parents over, Sao finally composed herself enough to tell them all what had occurred. At first, Seamus was very skeptical but Lavender was quick to believe her daughter, always having been interested in the subject of Divination. Lavender was certain this was a sign. Seamus disagreed, so he declared their park time over so they could walk home. It was then about twenty minutes later on their walk home when Sao let out a cry. "That's the kitten!" She shrieked at the top of her lungs and froze as a kitten began to wander out into the street. Perhaps it was the good nature and fatherly instinct within Seamus that compelled him to jump out into traffic to retrieve the cat, but whatever it was - he saved the cat. Lavender was a little put off by the kitten - it was dirty and covered in bugs and burrs. She insisted taking it to a shelter. Then after Sao had seemed to have taken a moment of staring into space, she turned to her mother and said "don't worry, Mum. You will love Stanley one day." And that was when Seamus and Lavender Finnigan knew they had a clairvoyant daughter.
So, Saoirse was a psychic. It was weird at first, but with her mother's help - they did a lot of research. They kept Stanley, of course. Being a clairvoyant did not help Sao grow out of her shell, however. She was still very shy around others. The Finnigans even tried to introduce her to their friends with magical children, such as the Potters and Longbottoms. But this proved only to make Sao a little more shy. She liked the families and all, but one boy in particular made her especially nervous and shy. Jayden Longbottom. A boy the same age as her in the Longbottom family. He was kind and patient and didn't so much mind her shyness, but she was still always very shy around him. It didn't help that he was very cute, either.
Two years passed and Sao had gotten a slight hold of her visions in time to attend Hogwarts to be sorted into Gryffindor like both of her parents, her older brother, and... Jayden Longbottom. She had to admit, when she heard Jayden's name called to join her at Gryffindor - her heart skipped a beat. Saoirse liked Hogwarts. She was finally with her brother again and she was able to meet other kind people like her. Even a small handful of other clairvoyants! As Sao got older, she gained a bit more control over when the visions would come to her. But as of late, Saoirse has been having unexpected bad visions. She suspects it has something to do with the recent killings, but whatever it is - the visions grow increasingly more frightening, distant, and blurry each time. Although Saoirse is a shy and quiet girl, she is determined to aid the cause in ending this horrible reign of terror upon Hogwarts.
