He walked down the halls of the castle heading to the second floor of his classroom; he had only ten minutes before the class begun. Luckily he was only on the ground floor which made it easier for him as he climbed the staircases praying, they did not move him in the wrong direction. Reaching the second floor he made his way to his classroom, pulling his wand out he flicked it pointing to a very large portrait on the wall. The portrait that had been empty changed back to its original form, of a door leading to the Transfiguration class. Walking in he waved his wand, and the desks that had been in the room disappeared from view only left was chairs for the students to sit in.
They would need extra space today as the students would start conjuration magic, something all students knew the basics by their third year or so. However; today he would be throwing them into intermediate and advanced conjuration magic, which was very more difficult. Sleelping bags, and arm chairs thought Vince as he leaned against his desk looking around his classroom. Today the classroom was empty of its normal tables and bookcases, but the posters and pictures of places around the world and Vince, meeting people all around the world aligned the wall. Some of the people in the photos looked completely normal, however in other photos Vince was standing next to bizarre people, some looked as they had even been corrupted by dark magic.
He glanced at a clock on his desk which showed that he still had five minutes before class begun, he was sure students would be entering the classroom soon. He took his wand and pointed it at the chalkboard and wrote in the air. As he wrote, green emerald letters formed on the chalkboard reading “Transfiguration N.E.W.T.S. Lesson One, Intermediate to Advanced Conjuration magic, Professor Vincent Lore Stone”. He pocketed his wand as he waited for his students to show up, the headmaster had informed him the seventh years were very skillfully and he hoped they were. After teaching all over the world, he met many young and extremely talented wizards and witches, he hoped the students of Hogwarts would impress him as well.

elodie ran her hand through her hair before entering the transfiguration class, and groaned when she realised that she was the first one there. for an incredibly lazy girl, it was astounding how early she always was to each class. it probably came from her fear of being late, as she had been in her first year to history of magic class, where she was promptly yelled at and thus humiliated in front of the entire class. and she cried. that made it worse. but, it did teach her a lesson, apart from goblin rebellions. she was never late for history of magic again, and was disastrously early to all her classes as a result. it was a disaster because she hated being the only one in the classroom as she waited for everyone else. she, like other teenage girls, preferred to travel in packs, and so when she was isolated, she immediately felt insecure. nevertheless, she was here now, and the transfiguration teacher was alright – if it was potions, she would have probably took a stroll around the dungeons rather than spend a minute alone with the professor. she strolled in, sat down at a desk near the back, unslinging her backpack from her shoulder and taking out her parchment and quill, scribbling down today’s topic of advanced conjuring (ugh) and finally taking her wand from her sock and tracing it idly along the desk. tagged: professor stone words: 236 outfit: ( link) notes: (n/a) |

Now this was his class.
Carcer, who looked like a simple backwoods mountain man scaled halfway up to giant size, who was sorted into the House considered least impressive by many people, was in fact a ferociously intelligent and skilled wizard. His grades in any class where he could learn from doing, rather than out of a book, were nothing short of excellent. And his Transfiguration skill was praised as the kind of talent you only see a few times each generation. The half-giant didn't know about all that, but he did know no student in the school had ever outperformed him in the subject, and he loved it more than anything. Many of his teachers had stressed the importance gaining the book knowledge before learning practical magic in the subject, but Carcer just wasn't a book learner. He was able to work out the theories behind the class as he performed the magic, able to get it to make sense in his head, though never to anyone else when he tried to explain the way it worked.
Still, his inability to explain things only hurt him so far. He could describe movements and incantations well enough, and he aced every practical laid before him, so Carcer had secured an Outstanding on his OWL and prefect status. Supposedly, he'd been considered for Head Boy position, but turned down due to leniency displayed as a prefect—he enforced the rules, but did not dole out punishments. It was just as well; being prefect was already cutting into his day enough, who needed the extra weight that Head Boy brought with it? So now, the outwardly simple, happy Hufflepuff was making his way to the class he loved the most. Supposedly, they had a new teacher this year, the first since he'd arrived. Carcer would miss the old professor, but he was hoping the new one might be bringing in something to really shake the curriculum up. It could certainly use it, the class always followed the book down the chapters of their textbook before, making it easy to predict what was coming (even if he needed to see the magic to really work it out).
He reached the door to the Transfiguration classroom and pulled it open, bending at the waist to get into the room. Oh good, no rafters in this one. He took a look at the teacher, whom he didn't recognize. The man resembled a wolf, in his looks and the predatory gleam in his eyes. But there was something like amusement in the eyes as well. Nice but no-nonsense? Carcer could get behind that. “Good morning, Professor, Elodie” he said as he entered the room and stood back up to his full thirteen-foot height and nodding at the energetic Quidditch queen. He plodded to the back of the room, pulled his wand, and levitated the middle desk of the back row a few feet farther back. He then cast Engorgement Charms on the desk and the accompanying chair, doubling their size, followed with an Unbreakable Charm to make sure they could support his weight. These two spells were OWL-level spells, but Carcer had learned them during his first year as a matter of necessity. He sat down at the enlarged desk, causing the room to shiver slightly, and placed his elbows on the desk, interlacing his fingers to rest his chin on. He sat there with his eyes closed and a smile on his face, enjoying the proverbial calm before the storm.

This was a class Aurora was excited to get into. Transfiguration was another class she did exceptionally well in. Actually Aurora was exceptional in any class. She put all of her time and effort in studying and homework as well as the practices that she hardly batted an eye to the social deals of her life. The brunette would get up every morning, have her fruit and huice, read her book and then go to class. Later in her day, she would sit down, open more books and begin her work. This year shouldn’t be all that different. Instead of having a lighter work load, she actually had an extra class thanks to Professor Grey. Not that Aurora was too upset about that, she wasn’t doing much else with her time anyways.
But now, it was time for Tranfiguration. Aurora walked the halls in silence. She didn’t say hi to anyone really, she just walked along. She made it up the stairs and onto the second floor. From there she walked into the classroom. The Professor was someone she didn’t really know. She heard a rumor about a new Professor, but she didn’t know what to think about it. Miss Lestrange just gave him a nod before heading over to a seat in the front and off to the side next to a window. She placed her bag on the table and leaned her head against the wall. Intermediate to Advance, now that was her favorite thing to see on the board.

Ronan walked down the corridor towards his favorite class in the whole school, besides charms and defense against the dark arts. All tied for first place. It was a class that he excelled in. Transfiguration. He loved being able to transfigure anything he wanted. There was a new Professor teaching the class, Professor Stone. He just hoped that they would be learning more advanced spells in the subject. Ronan never really had to read the books for the class, it just came naturally to him. He could be asked a question and he could answer it for you without ever having picked up the book and studied. Most of the time he was the first to master any transfiguration spell the first couple of time he tried it.
He walked into the room noticing that several people were already there. People whom he knew mostly, for he had just met Aurora not to long ago. Ronan walked over and sat down next to Carcer. "Hey mate, hows it going?" He asked as he set his bag down next to him. Ronan glanced towards the professor and he could tell that the man knew his stuff. He was excited for class to begin, which was saying something since he rarely ever was.

For Alice Longbottom, a fairly intelligent young witch, Transfiguration took a little more concentration. It was definitely not Potions, which Alice loathed with every fiber of her being, but it was also not Care of Magical Creatures, which just came easily to Alice. Transfiguration required a certain amount of utmost concentration and skill. Two things Alice was good at, when she wasn't frustrated. She wasn't terrible at the class, but she definitely wasn't the top in the class. She had succeeded easily with all of the easier tasks, such as transforming small pets into water goblets. The bigger things, though? Not so much.
When it came down to it, Alice just wasn't a big fan. She tolerated the class and passed it with a good grade, but that was probably all this new professor was going to get out of her. New professor. She was eager to meet the new teacher as she walked along the corridors. Her usual attire including her robes and school bag but this time her curly, dark blonde hair was pulled back into a messy ponytail. Alice did this when she was in a good mood. Granted, she wasn't exactly excited to sit through another class with the Lestrange girl, whom Ronan had joked with James about her being his "girlfriend." Regardless of whether this was true or not, Alice didn't even like that it was being said. And, being the seventeen year old girl that she was, she automatically disliked Aurora Lestrange just because James found her pretty. It was very teen-girl of her, but she couldn't help it. Love made you do weird things.
Alice finally entered the Transfiguration classroom and set eyes on the new professor. He was very tall. And there was something... snakelike about him. Alice let her gaze slide over him to see who had arrived so far. There was Aurora, of course. Carcer was seated next to Finnigan, and then Elodie. Usually Alice sat next to James in most of their classes, but a thought occurred to Alice as she stood in the doorway deciding where to sit. She would test James. She sat down next to Elodie, a good friend of hers, and smiled at her. "Morning," she greeted the Gryffindor. Yes, this would work. Now, she would be able to see where James sat. Would he sit in fron of her? Or would he sit with the Ravenclaw?

Elaine was next into class. Transfiguration was always something that was difficult for her. Her mind was so black and white at times -- that just wrapping her mind around the concept of changing something into something else was rather hard for her. But she would not let it defeat her. She refused! She was going to be the best she could be and of course for her that meant being better then everyone else except maybe the professor at this point in the program. And so she was come to class, she would learn, she would practice--she would do this! She kept telling herself this and she believed it. Every single stinking ounce of it. She was going to be the best because she did not, would not except anything less from herself. What others did and wanted to do was of no importance. What they thought of her was no importance to her either. They would all get what was coming to them eventually. And so she would just bide her time.
She walked in aiming a short glare at Elodie before sitting down at her accustomed spot hear a window. She wasn't sure why she liked being near windows so much. She just always had...even back in her first year she always sat near a window when she could. And sides the more distance between her and that childish Gryffindor the better. The way the other was..her smart alec ways and maybe it was just by proxy because of the house she was. Elaine did not care for the girl and the other probably didn't care for her either. Ohh what she wouldn't give to just curse her one. Ahh but that would draw too much attention. Didn't mean she didn't want to any less though...
She took out her paper and quills and looked up to see the topic on the black board and inwardly winced. Intermediate to Advanced Conjuration Magic. Ohh sounded tough. But she could handle it. What she wasn't sure of though was the professor. Vincent Lore eh? It was anew professor. Someone she did not know...well she knew knew no one hardly but she knew the ways the professors taught and what made them tic for the most part (or at least in a class room setting anyways). And now? A new teacher? Hmmm....very much hmmm...

James Potter wasn't necessarily excited for Transfiguration class. He had only ever liked the class because Professor Reynolds taught it but now that he was gone, he was a bit skeptical. However, Professor Reynolds himself had told James that the new professor was a good friend of his. And apparently, he knew more about Transfiguration than Professor Reynolds. That was impressive enough for for James. That, and the fact that apparently this man was quite the prankster himself. Or so Professor Reynolds said. James decided he would test that today.
As usual, James entered the classroom with a certain air about him that usually just pissed off teachers or the other students who weren't his friends. It was a "know-it-all" and "better than thou" attitude, which was usually the reason for his making any enemies. It would be the decision maker today when finding out where he stood with the new professor. He walked through the doorway to make his way to his usual seaat next to his best friend, Alice Longbottom, but he stopped short just behind the back row of desks when he saw Alice sitting next to Elodie. It was unusual, but he didn't much care. Alice and Elodie were friends as well; quite the pair, James thought, so he didn't mind Alice's mixing it up for once. Instead, his attention went straight over to someone he couldn't stop thinking about since they had met in the library.
Aurora Lestrange. She was sitting by herself and she had said she would assist James with his Potions essay, so he decided to make good on their relationship. He actually wanted to befriend a pretty girl, to actually get to know her. So without thinking about it twice, he walked right past his friends in the back row and headed straight for the desk Aurora was sitting at. He took a seat and immediately flashed her a grin. "Good morning, Aurora." James found that he liked to say her name quite a bit.
Of course he couldn't forget to greet his friends, either. So he turned around briefly in his chair to wave "good morning" at Elodie, Alice, Ronan, and Carcer before returning his full attention to, not the new professor, but Aurora.

He watched as his students filled into the classroom some greeted him with “mornings” or “hellos” some barely even looked at him. He nodded and smiled to each one as they found and took a seat. The last student to enter was James Sirius Potter, the Headmaster had warned Vince already of James and his prankster nature gave a small smirk as James paid no attention to him but to one the female students. He looked at the clock that was on his desk, and it was time for the class to begin he smiled and straightened himself up and clapped his hands. ”Hello everyone I’m Professor Stone, your new Transfiguration Professor and the new Slytherin Head of House. The Headmaster your previous professor has informed me that you all are very talented, so I hope you do not prove the old man wrong”said Vince his voice was calm and nice, but spoke with a sort of authoritarian tone but a pleasant one. He pointed to the pictures of him around the room and of the dozens of different countries he had visited. ” I have traveled the world learning all about Transfiguration, and I spent last eight years in Paris training their Aurors in advanced forms of it including, dark magic. Transfiguration is an extremely important branch of magic, complex but once you learn it, and if you master it you can do some amazing things”said Vince, the last part of his words came out as a hiss as he leaned forward and his body hit the ground fast.
By the time he hit the ground he had formed, into a rather large black snake it’s green emerald eyes gazed upon the students as it hissed at each of them. In the snake body he slithered around the room before settling his gaze on Potter, he moved over towards the desk he was sitting in and changed back to his regular form. He smiled and looked around at the students and back to James. ”Ah Mr. Potter, I have been warned of your prankster nature, trust me you have nothing on the tribe I lived with in South America for a while, and their pranks are much more vicious I assume”said Vince with a little smile as he pointed to a picture on the wall with Vince and some bizarre looking man with face paint, that looked completely evil. He removed his wand and waved it in the air and the desks in front of the students disappeared from view leaving only their chairs that they sat in. Walking over to his desk he pointed to the chalkboard and to spell incantations appeared on the board “1.) soliumque contulerit” and “2.) quietus accusam”. Turning around he faced his students once more and motionted for them all to stand up. ” Put your chairs to the back of the room please and stand up. Burt..I mean Professor Reynolds, informed me that you have learned the vanishment branch of Transfiguration already, so now we are going to focus on more Conuriration branch, the art of conjuring items from thin air. We aren’t going to be dealing with summoning small stuff either, that’s fourth year stuff. Today I am asking you all to either conjuire an armchair or a sleeping bag, the first spell listed will conjure an armchair, the second one will conjur a sleeping bag.” said Vince he cut off from his lecture and pointed his wand to the center of the room.
”Soliumque contulerit…..quietus accusam” he said softly and with simple flicks of his wand a green sleeping bag and green arm chair appeared from thin air side by side, in perfect condition. ”I would like all you to form a line and attempt either one, if you want you may do both. The sleeping bag will be the easiest while an armchair will be more challenging. Clear your mind, speak clearly, and focus on the object appearing from thin air. Done correctly, it will be in good condition. If not done correctly, well we might just have the arms of the chair…Ready? Let’s go! ” said Vince his voice raising a little and he clapped his hands and sat on his desk awaiting his student’s results. He hoped most could accomplish the task, but the lesson was also to find out where they were and who needed improvement on the area before he moved into more tricky stuff.

Carcer cracked one eye each time he heard a new arrival, noting who showed up each time, but otherwise did not move, letting the world fade to white noise and his own breathing. Easygoing by nature, the half-giant liked sitting still and quiet, not bothering anyone and not being bothered by anyone. That being said, he wasn’t out to actively avoid social interaction, he just didn’t go hunting for it. So when Ronan sat down next to him, he cracked an eye again, looking down at the Gryffindor. "Hey mate, hows it going?" He shrugged, eyes flickering back up to the teacher, who thus far had not spoken a word. “Can’t complain. So is it just me, or does the new teacher look a bit like a wolf?” Coming from almost anyone else, that might have sounded like a werewolf accusation. But aside from the fact that Carcer followed and enforced live-and-let-live like a religion (so long as you’re not harming others, go have fun and enjoy whatever you’re doing), his giant’s blood protected him from lycanthropy, so he wouldn’t have cared anyway.
As the rest of the students filed in, the new teacher began to talk, introducing himself as Professor Stone. Head of Slytherin House? The Gryffindor Head of House was new this year too, even though the old Head was still teaching. Hm. But when Professor Stone began the lecture properly, Carcer banished these thoughts to the back of his mind, focusing entirely on the magic being woven. He blinked in surprise when the professor shifted into a massive snake, then whispered at Ronan. “Maybe my choice of animal was wrong.” Of course, this was great news for Carcer, who was growing cautiously excited. He was studying to become an animagus, so having one for a teacher was only good news for him. Though the company he apparently kept in South America was…creepy looking, to say the least.
Next, the professor shifted back into a human and vanished the desks. Carcer started forward slightly before regaining the balance he’d lost, as he’d been putting weight on his desk. “Put your chairs to the back of the room please and stand up.” Carcer did as instructed, listening to the teacher speak of conjuration. He read the incantations, rolling them around in his head. Yes, the wording made sense, but normal Transfiguration used one object as the medium to create another, so what was the medium in Conjuration? Then Professor Stone conjured his own chair and sleeping bag. Carcer let his senses take over, his sense for magic letting him pick and prod at the spellcasts to determine their nature. Transfiguration to be sure, though stronger and more intense than normal, without losing the carefully-designed matrix that ensured a stable transformation. But what was this second layer beneath….a memory charm? No…not quite…oh. Oh.
Oh.
Imagination. That was the medium being transformed. Of course…and since the wand would have to pull the image from the mind, concentration was necessary to maintain the full picture even as you released the image. Hang on too long, or not long enough, you only got a partial conjuration. Okay, that made sense. Carcer stepped forward as soon as Professor Stone called for volunteers, his mind already jumping forward by miles. He could modify the spell like…no no no, swap that, make the base the other side of the spell…and…yes. Carcer grinned and raised his wand. “Soliumque quo somnum accusam!” The chair that appeared was massive, sized up for Carcer’s thirteen feet of height. It was a lush design, made of ebony with gold inlaid all over in intricate patterns. The feet of the chair were also made of gold and shaped like a badger’s paws, and thick yellow cushions covered the back and the seat. On the side, an ebony handle jutted out from the chair, and the top of the chair’s back was adorned with a realistic-looking badger’s head.
Carcer strode up to the chair and dropped into it, aware that it took up a full third of the practice space, but he wanted to make sure the conjuration worked. He grabbed the handle on the side and pulled. As he did, the front of the chair—obviously a recliner now—kicked forward. Then Carcer pushed the back of the chair down. When it was fully back, the badger head leaned down and snaked over the Hufflepuff’s head, traveling down his body, a fur blanket in its wake. It settled into place at the edge of the footrest, leaving the half-giant’s head visible at the top of the chair, but the rest of his body covered in a thick, furry amalgam of chair and sleeping bag.
Carcer grinned. “I could get used to this.”

Maryn made her way down the corridor, towards the Transfiguration classroom, as fast as she could. She was late for favorite class, not that she had meant to be but she had stopped to comfort her sister whom she had found crying on the first floor, not to far from the Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom. She was there for about ten minutes before Professor Grey had come out of his classroom and told Maryn that he would help her sister out. She had been given a pass from him saying why she was late for class. When she was close to the classroom she stopped and took a deep breath. She was excited to learn more about doing transfiguration.
Once she had entered she noticed that the desk had been vanished and the chairs were at the back of the classroom, as Professor Stone explained what they would be doing today. Maryn also took note of who was there, and they were all people that she got along with quite well except of course the one slytherin. She didn't trust a single slytherin. She even took note of the Professor being the head of Slytherin. Which was fine but while she had respect because he was a teacher, didn't mean she trusted him one bit, at least not yet. Trust was something that was earned, not given out freely. Conjuring an armchair and also a sleeping bag. Something she had done before and to her it really wasn't all that hard to do. She watched as the Professor conjured an green armchair and then a green sleeping bag to go along with it. She smiled and took out her wand as she watched Carcer conjur his own armchair and sleeping bag that were yellow and black, the colors of Hufflepuff.
"Here you go Professor, and I'm sorry for being late. If it is alright I think I will go next" Maryn walked up to Professor Stone and handed him the pass from Professor Grey. She then turned towards the middle of the room where she concentrated for a second imagining just what she wanted her armchair and sleeping bag to look like. In her mind it was perfect for her. Carcer's chair had taken up quite a bit of the practice area but that didn't matter to Maryn. She waved her wand and muttered the incantation while modifying it a little to fulfill her needs. "Soliumque contulerit et quietus accusam." Once she said the words there appeared a black plush armchair with silver lining, it also had a yellow outline of a fierce looking badger on the back of it, a footrest in the same color and design as the armchair, and on top of that was a nice purple fleece sleeping bag. She grinned at Carcer whom had said that he could get used to this. Maryn sat down in the chair, and found it very comfortable, and the sleeping bag was perfect as she placed it over herself. Putting her feet up on the footrest, she said to Carcer. "I second that, it is nice and comfortable." Maryn then turned her attention to the others smiling, and said. "Come on guys give it a try." She wondered just how many of them would be able to conjur an armchair or sleeping bag.

people began to file in soon enough. she greeted her friends, carcer and ronan as they sat behind her, and noticed again that the lestrange girl had ignored everyone and sat by herself. she gazed at the ravenclaw for a moment, giving her an appraising look. elodie wasn’t a fan of the girls who rejected other girls as friends, preferring to take the ‘lone wolf’ approach. she decided promptly that aurora was, indeed, weird. she scowled subtly and looked towards alice, who was approaching her. she cocked her head to the side – her hufflepuff friend generally sat in front of elodie, with james, but this time apparently had a change of heart. elodie was thrilled. ”might i say, darling, excellent seating choice.” she grinned, nudging alice slightly and affectionately. elaine came in, and greeted elodie with a glare, which went ignored as she walked past to her spot by the window, by herself. she rolled her eyes to alice when the slytherin had passed, but her attention immediately went to james, who sat down – with lestrange?her mouth fell agape. she knew that there was something going on between them, ronan had mentioned it in defense against the dark arts. but this was obviously major. he had cut himself off from his clique, all for some ravenclaw loner. elodie was immediately suspicious, and although she waved to james with a cheery look, she glowered while he wasn’t looking. for elodie, class couldn’t have started soon enough. the professor gave an introduction, where he stressed the importance of transfiguration, as all the teachers did with their own subjects. but he seemed to be… hissing slightly. elodie’s face was met briefly with a look of distaste, then quickly dismissed it. just because the guy hissed, didn’t mean anything. it was just a tad creepy. the class were given their instructions. it didn’t sound too hard – elodie had been practicing a lot of conjuring in her spare time to get on top of it, and had covered simpler chairs. she drummed her fingers on the desk, before getting up and going to an open space. ” soliumque quo somnum accusam!” she said, following the wand gesturing instructions. out of thin air came a small armchair, and a small sleeping bag, both a good size to fit a gnome in matching floral print. she looked over at carcer, who was enjoying his large, perfect armchair. ”hey, carce, i think i’ve figured out your christmas present.” she held up her two tiny conjurations comically, then laughed. she just needed some practice. she began to try again, practicing over and over until she got it right. tagged: transfig class! words: 440 outfit: ( link) notes: (n/a) |

Cojuration in Ronan's opinion was quite simple. He watched as the others began to conjur their armchairs and sleeping bags. Ronan grinned as he watched Carcer's armchair become a recliner and also a sleeping bag. He had to admit he was impressed by the chair. It was perfect for Carcer. Next Maryn went who had just come into class her chair was black with a yellow outline of a badger on it. Along with a footrest and also a purple sleeping bag. If he remembered correctly that was her favorite color. Both chairs looked comfortable. Elodie went next who had conjured the items that was asked of them but they were to small. He laughed at Elodie's statement to Carcer and he said. "Elle I think that those would be perfect for Carcer, I mean the pattern totally suits him." Ronan laughed once more.
Now he was going to go. But the question was what did he want his armchair and sleeping bag to look like? He thought for a moment or two. Finally he came up with an idea and said. "Well here goes nothing." He then said “Soliumque quo somnum accusam!” Before him there appeared a chair that actually looked like a griffin, it was like Carcer's chair in a way but at the same time it was different because it wasn't a badger. He sat down in the chair and the wings folded around him like and became a sleeping bag for him yet they were still part of the chair. "There you go Professor." He looked at Professor Stone before he got out of the chair, and as he got up the wings turned back to normal. Instead of vanishing the chair he left it there for the Professor to check it out. But not wanting to stand around.
He might be showing off but he didn't really care. He wasn't sure if the professor knew that he liked to show off and prank just as much as James did. But why not test that theory. Ronan waved his wand and said "tropicae lignis et lecti" There just behind his armchair there appeared a hammock strung up between two palm trees. He went over and got into the hammock so he could watch as everyone else tired to do their spell work as well. As he lay there, a coconut dropped from one of the trees and hit him in the stomach, he groaned a little and he grumbled "Happens every bloody time." But unlike the rest of the times where the hammock was sturdy, it decided to go ahead and the rope holding it decided to snap. As he hit the ground with a loud thud, he groaned once more and then he began to laugh. Ronan was still laughing when he stood up "Looks like it decided to break this time. Stupid rope." He stood there and thought about what it was that he was doing wrong. Maybe because he was imagining it the same way every time that the rope just became to stressed and snapped, but what the hell is with the damned coconuts falling on him? He had to figure out what went wrong. So he stood there laughing slightly still, and thought about what he needed to change in order for this to work properly. Maybe the Professor could help him figure it out since the man was a master at Transfiguration or so he had made it sound like when he had introduced himself.

At Elodie's affectionate nudge, Alice gave her a small smile. She loved Elodie's company, as they shared a lot of similiarities when it came to their likes and dislikes as well. They both had a liking for Care of Magical Creatures and then the two of them always seemed to dislike the same people. Alice couldn't complain about Elodie whatsoever. She found her to be a good friend.
When Elaine passed by the two girls, Alice joined Elodie in her eye rolling. What was with her attitude? Alice had never liked Elaine. She had always seemed like some prissy and rude Slytherin girl who believed purebloods were better than all. While Alice was a pureblood, she didn't think this way because her parents had raised her better than that. Alice turned her attention away from Elaine to look back at Elodie, whose mouth had fallen agape. Alice raised an eyebrow at the brunette and slowly followed her gaze to see just exactly what it was she was staring at.
And what Alice saw made her jaw drop as well.
James was sitting with Lestrange? Just what did he think he was doing? Is this what Ronan had meant by James's "girlfriend?" This was enough to make Alice's fists clench on top of the desk. And when James turned to wave at his friends that he had left behind, Alice turned her head quickly to look somewhere else, pretending that she had not seen him. "The blood nerve..." she muttered at no one in particular. An anger was coursing through Alice Longbottom like never before.
Alice was seeing red. She could not recall a time that she felt more angry, more... jealous? Alice sook her head vigorously. She was not jealous of the Ravenclaw. There was no chance in Hell she was going to be jealous of a Lestrange. Alice was inhaling and exhaling deeply through her nose, so as to prevent her face from going a deep shade of red. She was already looking flustered enough as she continued to watch each of her classmates, deadpan. She was aware, though, that each of them had managed to conjure something. Alice was too distracted by her anger with James to even hear the joke Elodie had made to Carcer, which normally would have made her laugh. After Ronan had said something about a rope, Alice stood up finally and moved defiantly into the middle of the classroom.
"Soliumque contulerit, quietus accusam!" Alice waved her wand in front of her and a navy blue armchair, a regular and normal size, appeared. A black, folded up sleeping bag on the ground in front of it. Normally Alice would have been very surprised with her conjuration, but she had been too distracted to even over think her performing the task, that she hadn't even noticed she had performed it just fine. With a frustrated huff, Alice dropped down into the armchair and folded her right leg over the other, picking up the sleeping bag and throwing it in James' direction before crossing her arms and looking anywhere but at any of her classmates.

He was late once again to another class how could he have messed up at the start of a new term, his last year at Hogwarts. Running out of the Ravenclaw common room he jumped down flights of stairs and hoped the staircases did move in directions today, that made him even more lately. Of course the stairs would end up moving anyways, making him go the long way to eventually get back on track, making him even later now. Not much of Head Boy material, crap, and no excuse for this one thought Sean as he kept up the running pace almost reaching the second floor where the classroom of Transfiguration was. Finally he reached the classroom door and walked in he was at least fifteen or twenty minutes late to the class which was not good at all, and it was a new Professor since the old one had been promoted as Headmaster. Sean was an avid reader of the Daily Prophet, and remembered the headlines he saw questioning Burt as being appointed Headmaster before school had even started this year. He glanced around and saw several students from other houses present, with armchairs and sleeping bags at least some of them, he grinned at the ones laying back in their arm chairs.
His view then went to the board and read the spells he assumed they were using to conjure sleeping bags and arm chairs; Transfiguration was an easy subject to Sean remembering Reynolds had always given him some private lessons when he first started teaching at the school a while back. ”Sorry Professor, I overslept my bad completely. I usually don’t do this Professor…Stone” said Sean looking at the Professor and the board once more to catch his name then back to him. He nodded and got out his wand clearing his head of every thought including of how late he was, he knew conjuration branch that and Transfigure branch were his favorite branches of Transfiguration. Remembering he had to concentrate hard on the objects to make them appear out of thin air, he pictured a Ravenclaw color theme armchair, and a matching sleeping bag made in the shape of wings of an eagle for the house of Ravenclaw. ” Soliumque contulerit, quietus accusam” said Sean clearly, his mind focused but still cleared of confusion. The armchair appeared perfectly as a navy blue armchair, with the written silver letters of Ravenclaw on it. On the ground next to the armchair laid a wings shaped sleeping bag matching the same color of the chair but without any writing on it. Sean grinned proud of his outcome on the spell, and looked at the Professor hoping he had impressed enough to save him from losing Ravenclaw house points. If he takes house points, I’m going to prank him until he’s a Hogwarts ghost and then some! thought Sean as he leaned back in his chair with the sleeping bag like everyone else and grinned at the other students waiting for them to conjure their sleeping bags and arm chairs.
