Elaine wasn't usually one for wondering the grounds alone at night without a purpose. No, Elaine preferred to have a good reason for disturbing her sleep schedule. Tonight, however, Elaine was having trouble sleeping. Things were picking up in her plans, and she was just tossing and turning in thought. So, she decided to go on a little stroll near the White Tomb.
Dumbledore was a good wizard, sure, he had done many impressive things. However, Elaine didn't really feel sentimental about him in any way. Why would she? He was one of the biggest hands in taking down Voldemort meaning that he was a strong muggle sympathizer. However, Dumbledore also was deeply involved in learning about magic, something that Elaine had in common with him.
As she approached the tomb, she got a whiff of a strange smell. Someone was brewing something nearby. Wand in hand, she followed the smell until she came up behind someone bending over a pot. Aw, well, may as well have some fun while out and about, eh?
"Making a little love potion, are we?" she spoke, stopping several feet from the person.

Elaine stood still as Cain shouted in surprise. As the barrier was cast between them she held her ground, keeping her arms at her sides in a completely relaxed state. She waited patiently for him to see she wasn't there to harm him, at least not immediately, and he let down the barrier. He spoke her name, spoke of danger, social life and vampire nonsense. She merely raised her right eyebrow slowly as he spoke, letting him get through all of this thoughts before finally taking a step forward, opening her own mouth to speak.
"Handy that you can brew your own. No one willing to help out?" she said, lifting her wand to tuck it up into her messy bun of hair atop her head. She smiled, tilting her head to both sides in a little stretch before answering his question. "Couldn't sleep. Not too concerned about the danger, really," she added with a soft chuckle. Why would she be? And why pretend to be? She wouldn't be here much longer. Things were changing for the better, and she wasn't going to sleep through that.
"Your girlfriend left the dorm about an hour ago. I assumed she was off to meet you," she added.

Elaine frowned at him, cocking her head to one side as he mentioned his uneasiness before sleeping. She had never really felt anything like that. No, Elaine had no trouble sleeping at night usually. Sure she tortured and murdered people, sure Ethan probably didn't get a wink of sleep, but that didn't affect her. It was her accomplishments that kept her up this time. Where everyone else was tossing and turning with worry she was tossing and turning with exhilaration. She was awake not because she was scared but because she couldn't bear to sleep through all the twists and turns in her plot. She wanted to be present for all of it, even if the rest of the school was sleeping. Even if the great Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom could get some sleep. If they even could.
Ambrosia was doing her assignment splendidly, causing Mr. Potter to have a lot to stay awake mooning over. Awe, it was a lovely thought. Now Cain asked why she was being so light about the trouble at school. She gave a gentle shrug, stepping closer to him as he turned his back but stopping before he turned around again. "I am quite confident in my abilities, Cain. I don't fear this murderer. My blood is full wizard, after all, and evidence proves that they don't care to harm me and if they did I could handle it." This was all true. If she wasn't the actual killer this was exactly how she would feel. So she wasn't lying, not really. Elaine didn't usually lie she just adjusted the truth.
"Well, she generally doesn't sleep at night, I've noticed. I hope things are well with her?"

Awe, the little hybrid was starting to catch on to her. He was seemingly about to lose his cool, which she was not entirely sure she wanted to deal with tonight. Still, a little playful banter and some jinx passing back and forth wouldn't be a big deal, would it? Students did it all of the time. However, she wasn't sure if he would play fair. She wouldn't if she hadn't been trying to maintain her identity. For now she would just continue the wordage with him and decide where the mood took her. "It is getting late, isn't it?" she stepped forward once more, leaning over him slightly to peer into the cauldron in front of him.
In the next second she had pulled back. "Sweet dreams. I'll tell Marcia you said hello," she said, turning on her heel and giving him a little wave with a few fingers over her shoulder.
@cainedge (erh-- I think they were supposed to fight here? but Elaine would just leave at this point sooooo)

Awe, he wanted to play a little game, did he? Well, she could afford to play games. Sleeping in the same room as his precious little girlfriend gave her an incredible amount of leverage. She would see how far he wanted to go, of course. Elaines wand was already in her hand as the fog started to form in front of her. She simply sighed, standing still as her feet stopped, waiting for him to make his little speech that he no doubt was preparing. Good. She liked a good laugh. "You sure ask a lot of questions, Cain. Which would you like answered firs- flipendo," mid-sentence her wand was pointed at him in a spell that would flip him backward. She loved chat time, she really did, but she also knew that most people expected you to finish a sentence before attacking. Though, the orange-yellow eyed beast in front of her might have been prepared for it. @cainedge

Well, someone was in a bad mood, that much was certain. Elaine ducked along with a sidestep to avoid his stunning spell and stood up straight, brushing off her robes as he went on to accuse her. She raised an eyebrow as he took some memory from his brain and tossed it aside. That was a strange choice. Then she lifted her wand to block the next stunning spell and she took a step forward as yet another stunning spell came at her, and with this one she simply parried it with, "bombarda," aimed toward the potion brewing behind him. She pulled back her neck a little and widened her eyes, "woah, woah. You've got some deep seeded issues, haven't you?" she chuckled, side stepping to the left and casting another spell his way, "levicorpus," this would lift him into the air, if it worked. @cainedge

Elaine glared as he countered her spell but he expected that. She also expected to be called heartless, and smiled at him at the compliment. Then at his next spell Elaine dodged the turquoise light, but this caused her to lose her footing and she fell to the ground briefly before jumping back up again just in time to see the cauldron flying toward her. She groaned, casting a spell to shatter the cauldron. "Cute," she said, painting, as she pulled a broken piece of the cauldron out of her arm. Blood stained her robes and she winced, placing a hand over the wound. "You're pretty quick on your feet, Edge. It's a pity only one of us sleeps in the same room as your little princess," right atop the last word she lifted her hand from her bleeding wound, holding her bloody palm out toward. "Smell good, half breed? Come and get some." @cainedge

(i'll finish up Elaine truly wasn't expecting what came next. Suddenly, he was in his vampire form and she actually felt fear creep into her heart. Then she was hearing him asking her to stop, sort of threatening her, wrapping a bandage around her hand and then putting his wand away. She raised an eyebrow, standing up and straightening her shoulders as he continued. He spoke of the way her blood smelled and how he wanted to resist it. That was what she was hoping for, actually, that he hated his vampire self so much that he would cease to function. She was lucky. He was born a pureblood, which she didn't know, and this caused a strange stir to occur in her stomach. Vampires and werewolves were always turning perfectly good blood into something disgusting and tainted. This infuriated her, but she kept her cool on the outside.
So, he would keep the secret if she didn't touch Marcia? That seemed like a good enough deal to her, especially when he proved he could force himself back to wizard form. "Fine," she said in that brief moment that he looked up at her. Then he dropped his head and she didn't move yet, "I can't guarantee the girl doesn't want my attention, however. With parents like hers... well, we'll see." At that she turned and left, not bothering to check and see if he was following her.
Well, that was fun.
