John sat back his feet positioned atop his desk buried nose deep in a old favorite book of his. Fantastic beasts and where to find them by newt scamander. He was very impressed with the authors way of describing the magical beasts that he had categorized and encountered. He still could hardly believe that he was now a teacher at Hogwarts. He had loved this place since the first time he had laid his eyes upon it. He sighed as he wished he could of met the author of this book but that was way before his time and he could not expect to meet a dead man. Or perhaps he could his eyes wandered down to his right breast and he placed his left hand on it as he slowly traced his tattoo of the deathly hallows upon his skin. There was only one possible way to meet such a man and that was the Resurrection stone. Though he wanted it more to have at least one last conversation his his father. His eyes slowly wandered onto his desk where he saw a picture of him and his father. It was taken just before he was to depart for Hogwarts for the very first time.
He bit his lower lips as he began to feel his emotion begin to give rise. He quickly turned away and looked at a picture of himself and Rubeus Hagrid. He was by far one of johns most favorite teachers at the school. HE had a deep love and caring for animals as much as himself. Oh how he would have long talks with Hagrid when he was available and they would talk about the magical beasts Hogwarts had and what ones he had encountered in his life. He smiled and wiped away a tear out of his eye and cleared his throat. He had some big shoes to fill and not just because Hagrid was half giant either. He chuckled once again and placed a book marker in his book and placed it on the desk. He was going to have to be getting ready to start his lesson soon. His students would be arriving within minutes. Oh what a lesson he had planned for them he could hardly wait to start.
He got out of his chair and grabbed his wan and held it tightly in his right hand. He was going to be teaching the seventh years about thestral's. Once again memory took him down as he fondly remembered helping Hagrid tend to them. At first he was scared of them because he had never seen a creature such as that before. With Hagrid's aid he would help tend to them over the years as well as his supervision after all students weren't allowed in the forest. He smiled and looked over at a large frozen slab of beef. He had frozen it with a freezing charm to keep the meat fresh till his lesson was to begin but now was the time to thaw it. With a wave of his wand he melted the ice that encased it and with the aid of a levitating charm he led it out onto the grounds floor his wand behind him as he set it gently onto the ground. He had a somewhat serious look on his face yet there was warmth to it and a inviting smile as he awaited the students to show up. He was going to make hagrid proud with his lessons at least that what he wished for he wanted to keep hagrid's memory intact about this place for as long as he could in some ways he was johns hero a mighty man with a gentle soul. He was dressed in a black suit with a white button downed dress shirt and a pair of dragon skin leather shoes his trademark dragon tooth pierced ear dangling down on his right ear humming to himself a classic song can you dance the Hippogriff by the weird sisters.
