Day two in the strange world called Hogwarts. Once again Lia couldn’t sleep. The other two nights, she worked on some sketches that she had started on the first day. Tonight, she just wasn’t feeling it. She say in bed looking up into the darkness. When the thought of it. The kitchen was right there.
With one swift movement, Lia jumped up and tip toed out of bed. She opened her trunk grabbing a few spices her parents had given her, for a small taste of home. Closing the chest at the foot of her bed silently, Lia snuck out of the room and out of the empty common room. With no shoes, yellow and black plaid shorts with a white tee with a black and white badger on it. Lia pulled up her hair and got to work.
Within an hour, the first batch was just about to come out. The sweet smell of the secret spices and chocolate chip cookies filled the kitchen and Lia simply danced and hummed to herself, certain that she would finish and clean up without anyone knowing she was there. And as she waited, she hoisted herself up onto a part of the counter that had been cleaned off and closed her eyes, thinking about what she would make tomorrow night.

Tomorrow was the full moon.
Like always, the days leading up to the full moon were rough. Lily had never experienced it though, and so Adrian felt obligated to help her through it as much as he could. Tonight, his whole body ached, his mood was foul, and totally incapable of sleep. He'd been pacing the entire length of the Gryffindor common room for the past two hours, to restless to even sit down for more then a few minutes. You'd think after living with his condition for the last sixteen years of his life he'd be a little more used to this. That was the one thing people always misunderstood about being a Werewolf. You never got used to the change. Not taking the potion this month was making it a little harder then usual though. He could feel a sort of uncontrollable wildness in the pit of his stomach. Every day it grew stronger and stronger. He'd never felt it before in his life. And it scared him.
Lily was in the common room, though neither had spoken in a while. Finally though, after pacing to the point where he was sure he'd left a permanent indent into the floor, he turned to his friend. "I'm hungry." He blatantly stated. He was, though he was also sick of the confinement of the common room. His statement was meant as a question, silently asking if she'd join him in sneaking out. He waited only a moment before turning and heading out of the common room. Whether she came or not, he was going.
It took serious talent to sneak from the seventh floor tower to the schools basement. Talent that he'd spent years honing. He wasn't even to the portrait that covered the entrance o the kitchens though when he smelled something... Were the house elves cooking at this hour? It couldn't be... As he got closer he realized just what that smell was and picked up some speed.
Cookies.
In the kitchens he let his nose lead the way, and soon he spotted the culprit. It was that new girl in his year, the transfer student. "Looks like I'm not the only one out of bed." He 'greeted' with a grin as he approached.

As the smell grew stronger, Ophelia opened her eyes and jumped off the counter. She jumped off the counter and walked over to check the cookies.
Perfect.
The cookies now had a perfect golden brown color around the edges, and the chocolate chips looked perfectly gooey. She pulled the sheet out of the oven and turned around. Suddenly, there was a boy there. This made the girl jump. The shock also moved the pan which caused three freshly baked cookies to fall, tragically to the floor. With the cookies no longer in nice lines, Lia set the hot tray down and bent over, sitting on her heals, and picked the cookies up in her hand. ”I have trouble sleeping. Baking helps pass the time.” Lia stood up and through the “dead” cookies into the trash and washed off her hand. Then she was able to get a good look at the boy. She had seen him around, but she didn’t think they had met, and if they did, she had no idea of his name. The girl grabbed the second pan, filled with dough and placed it in the oven. ”What brings you to the kitchen?” @adrian

She was going to throw away the cookies
Adrian moved faster then he ever thought possible, and grabbing a plate in the process, he crossed the room and caught the cookies on the plate before they hit the bin. "Woah there, you do NOT throw away perfectly good cookies!" He loudly scolded, giving the girl a stern look. Really, they'd only been on the ground a few seconds! They were fine! Sure, they didn't look pretty, but that would affect the taste.
Not even taking into consideration that they were still technically her cookies, and that the polite thing to do would be to ask if he could have one, he scarfed down one of the freshly out of the oven, and very hot, cookies. It burned, but he didn't care. He was hungry, and his foul mood hadn't changed much during his walk down to the kitchens. Finally the girl spoke again, asking what brought him down here. Well, that was a loaded question. "Same, except eating helps pass the time- What did you put in these?" He didn't miss a beat as he asked the question, staring down at the plate in his hand, only now registering the actual taste. They were good. Like, seriously.

The boy moved fast. Faster than she thought was possible. It made her jump again, him being so close so fast. He caught the cookies that were meant for the trash. “But...they” She softly said. They were on the ground. Her mother had always told her that if it was on the ground, it was lost. But whenever she baked with her mother, there was usually some creature or another wondering the kitchen floor, so there wasn’t enough time to save it, even if it wasn’t going in the trash.
Ophelia took a few steps back, looking at the floor. Why was this boy scolding her? That was what she was taught! Why was he even in the kitchen this late. She thought there was a curfew. True, she was breaking it too, but she didn’t go far from her house common room. But she hadn’t seen this boy there, she knew he wasn’t a Hufflepuff. Maybe he was a Slytherin? But she shouldn’t judge him like that. Maybe he was just cranky and hungry.
Lia grabbed a second, already prepared, tray and placed that one into the oven to bake now, she saw the boy scarf down the hot cookies. She stayed quiet, and shuffled over to the sheet with the fresh cookies, using a spatula, moved the cookies from the sheet to a cooling rack and began to place dough on the cooling off cookies sheet. She finally broke the silence and waited for his response. Guess it was a stupid question. It still needed to be asked. ”It’s a spice from Romania. My mother gave it to me when I came here.” Her mother knew that she would find her way to the kitchen eventually, and would want to bake. She thought that her daughter would enjoy having some flavors of home, while she was so far away. @adrian

Both of Adrian's eyebrows were raised as high as they could go as she tried to utter an excuse for her actions, as if daring her to continue that sentence. His behavior was quite.... eccentric in that moment, but he didn't care. He was never one for self restrain, and when food was involved? Even less so. To make it even worse all his emotions and nerves were on overdrive with it being the day before the full moon. He literally felt like he was going to explode. It made him a little cranky... And Lily hadn't caught up yet to stop him from doing something stupid.
He offered no verbal response, instead popping another cookie into his mouth. Already he was feeling fidgety. Even just a few moments of stillness was to much for him right now. Her talking helped, because it gave him something to focus on that wasn't his own anxiety. "Romania?" He finally asked after swallowing. "Thought I heard the accent." He added. He wasn't one to talk though, since he wan't British either. His German accent was faint though. He had been going to Hogwarts for five years after all, his english had greatly improved, to the point where it was completely natural. Though he did resort to his mother language when he didn't want anyone to understand him and whatever string of curses he had up his sleeve.
He stopped before stuffing another cookie, and quite enthusiastically sniffed the air. He could smell her. It was still faint, but that was definitely Lily. Tracking him probably. She'd gotten pretty good at that...

Lilys spidey wolf sense was tingling.
Adrian had left the Tower. But where to? She let him go, giving him some time to get a head start. It would be no fun to just follow him around with him in sight-that was lame. No, she would give him a chance to do his sneaking and then follow him based on scent and sense only. Her sense of smell was incredible now, but that wasn't the only thing that could lead her to her German wolf. No, she could find him just by sensing him. This didn't happen until her wolf incident, and she almost wanted to do some actual studying to figure out why.
Almost.
It was the night before the full moon and her excitement was building by the second. She was even more hyperactive than usual, and she and Adrian had planned to meet in their little hiding spot at sundown. Adrian was clearly getting angsty, which amused her.
So, he led her to the kitchens, eh? What kind of snack was he in search of? Then she got a whiff of an amazing smell and caught her breath. What was that?
Lily opened the door, "who is the cookie ninja and where are the cookies."

This boy was mean! And he kept eating her cookies! She put a new batch into the oven and placed all the surviving cookies on a plate. She nodded when he clarified the location the spices were from. ”I was raised there, parents are studying dragons right now.” She stated in a sheepish matter of fact way, but she said it so quiet that she wasn’t even sure that he had heard her. She did recognize that his accent was from somewhere else, where was it? Germany? Probably, no wonder he was so angry sounding. Maybe it was just the accent. She then began to place more dough on the new empty tray. That was when he stole another one, but she didn’t dare say anything, she just pretended not to watch. But the boy caught her eye again. He seemed a little stiff. She didn’t quite understand, and she was a little afraid to ask...but her question was shortly answered. A fiery red headed girl walked into the kitchen. Ophelia looked up at the girl with wide eyes, she had finished with the dough and now was stuck. She had nothing to pay attention to accept the now two teens in the kitchen with hter. This was supposed to be relaxing! But now there was an angry German who may be a Slytherin, and now a red haired girl who...well Lia didn’t know what to expect. But she didn’t move, she just looked between the girl and the boy with wide eyes. What should she do now? @adrian lily luna potter

There was Lily. Like a beautiful storm, rushing in at the smell of the cookies. Adrian didn’t speak immediately. Instead holding out the plate of stolen cookies he had in hand so she could come get one while he stuffed another into his mouth.
”Dragons? Cool.” He finally said, meaning it. The girl seemed incredibly uncomfortable by his presence, but he didn’t seem to notice… or care. Actually, it was the second option. ”So…. Why’re you baking right now?” He finally asked the question that had been bugging him since he entered the kitchen. It was the middle of the night! Only those that didn’t care about the rules were out and about a this hour! And from what he’d seen of this new girl, she didn’t seem like the type to break rules.

So, her parents were studying dragons? What an exciting little thing to be dong. Lily hadn't chosen to respond as she stepped forward toward the plate of cookies that Adrian was holding out. She looked at the cookies, then back up at the girl. "What kind of cookies are these? And can I have one?" yes, she was now glaring at Adrian because she assumed he hadn't asked for permission. He loved sweets just as much as she did, if not more. If it was someone she knew she would have taken the cookies without question but... she didn't want to frighten the poor thing. She was stuck with two wolves, after all. Lily moved closer to Adrian, lifting her arm to rest her elbow on his shoulder as she and Adrian waited for the girls response to the question of why she was baking cookies right now. She hoped no one else would smell them like she did and come down here to eat them... that is, if they girl was willing to share.

Ophelia nodded at the boy, then looked at the girl, a little shocked, but she looked up at the girl, perhaps this was the first time she made eye contact with her. ”Yes.”But it didn’t last long, she looked bad at the oven and looked at the cookies inside. ”They are just chocolate chip. It’s a recipe my mum taught me.” Then she answered the boys question. ”I have troubles sleeping, sometimes, and I was feeling….” She paused, simply to think about what she was saying. ”I just wanted to make something.” The girl was missing home, but she realized that she had just admitted it to herself, and she didn’t want to admit it to two strangers with an attraction to sweets. ”What about you?” She sheepishly asked as she looked at the two again, they were not together. They obviously knew each other well. Meaning that they had to be friends, or more? She wouldn’t jump to that conclusion, but there seemed to be some tension. She thought she heard a growl. But she did glance at the cookies on the plate. There were only a few left from the first batch, but she was a little hungry, but… she moved her eyes away from the plate and the two in the kitchen, and she pulled a spoon out, taking some cookie dough from the bowl. She didn’t know what to do with herself now, she felt so awkward in front of these two. At least the girl seemed to be polite. Maybe this wasn’t a bad thing, being stuck with two other students. Although, she was pretty sure that her parents didn’t want her to make friends with any trouble makers. @adrian lily luna potter

Adrian snarled at Lily as she glared at him, knowing immediately why she was glaring. Hey, the girl was going to throw them out! Finders keepers! She obviously hadn't wanted them! So why was Lily mad at him?! He'd practically rescued them! "Since when do you have manners?" He asked, making a verbal jab at Lily with a wolfish grin.
What about them?
Well that was a loaded question! Did this girl know she was in a room with two werewolves, the night before a full moon? That Adrian's nerves were on high alert, his senses heightened to the max, and was so restless that even just standing still like this was starting to make him twitch. Setting the plate of cookies down on the counter, between himself and this girl, he rolled his shoulders, trying to calm his aching muscles. "Couldn't sleep." Was all he said as an explanation. No need to give anything away. The girl was nervous, reminding him of a scared rabbit. The wolf in him loved it, wanting to be set loose on her. That was odd. He'd never had a desire to attack a person before.....

Lily kept her eyes on Ophelia, her sweet smile unwavering as she reached over and quickly punched Adrian in the chest.
"Thank you, Ophelia!" she said, reaching forward. Then both the girl and Adrian said they couldn't sleep. Lily shrugged, "I honestly just like to stalk this clown," she said, gesturing to Adrian. There was a strange tension int he air, though, and Lily finally looked over at Adrian. Was he... what on earth was going on in his head? She could sense intensity, though, and a bit of carnal nature slipping through. As much as she'd love to get carnal with Adrian right now, she actually was trying to be nice to this girl. She had to break this.
"SO!" she said loudly, jumping in between them and glancing at Ophelia once more, leaning one elbow on the counter. "I'm honestly not even a little bit talented in the kitchen," she forced out a laugh, "what else do you like to do?" wow, a rare moment of Lily trying to ease the tension. Normally Lily invited it. But she could sense that the girl was getting uncomfortable.

Ophelia looked away and began to wipe down the counter. It wasn’t really dirty now, but she wanted something to do, while the second batch was baking. She listened to the angry German and the red haired girl talk, she knew they were friends from the first time she walked in. but by the way they were acting...well she wasn’t sure if they were just friends. Lia smiled at the girl, and nodded when she tanked her. She really didn’t know what else to do with them any way. She didn’t have any friends at this time, so, having these two teens eat them really didn’t seem like a good idea, but she wasn't about to tell them. Ophelia gave the girl a polite but awkward chuckle. She didn’t know what to think about the girl saying that she stalked the boy down. They seemed to be friends, so it must have been a game, or something friendly. And even if it wasn’t, the boy seemed like the boy could take care of himself. Lia moved to the oven once more, and peered inside. The girl spoke up. Quite suddenly and it made Lia jump at the sound. She stood up straight and looked at the girl who was now in between her and the boy. She seemed to be trying to be nice, but the subject change was nice. ”I like to draw. I also like magical creatures. What about you?” She turned back to the oven and pulled out the the second batch of cookies. She placed them on the table and began to place them on a cooling rack. She then took one, steaming hot and ate it. Quite satisfied with her work, and trying to not think about the awkwardness of the situation she was in. She also tried to ignore the feeling of...what was that feeling? It was hard to explain. It was like that time she was with her parents and a Hungarian Horntail looked at her. @adrian lily luna potter

Adrian grunted as Lily hit him. It wasn't a light punch either! Holding his ground though, he just narrowed his eyes, and snarled at her. The wolf in him was showing. Folding his arms across his chest, he took a side step away from her, mostly so he could at least defend himself if she decided to hit him again. "Stalk is putting it nicely." Adrian taunted, eyebrows raised a bit, daring her to deny it. They were always finding each other. Always.... aware of each other. In ways that terrified him. And no one understood what it felt like. Except for Lily, of course, but like heck he'd ask her about it.
He rolled his shoulders, trying to relieve some of the tension there. It didn't want to go away though, and only when he heard Lily's voice raise in that squeaky annoying way it always did when she was excited did he relax a bit. It at least gave him enough sense to know that he needed to keep moving. He was too restless right now, and trying to be that docile was making him zone in on the non-werewolf in the room. So, as Lily tried to be friendly, something he never understood to be honest, he started to pace through the kitchen, trying to find something to occupy his thoughts.
