Lelia finally knew her husband's family.
Well, most of them. She'd met them rather briefly the day before, jet lag having finally gotten the better of her after she and Carson had left to go talk in private. It wasn't a surprise though, considering everything going on. Carson had already left to help with the search efforts, leaving Lelia and Baylee at the Cauldron with Hannah, his sister. Lelia hadn't seen the woman quite yet, because she'd been trying, desperately, to get Baylee semi decent for the day.
Currently Lelia was sitting in a chair, Baylee standing in front of her as she did her hair in a pair of braids. The girl was fidgeting like crazy, exciting to go find Jayden or Phil as soon as her mother released her. She was chattering away, going on and on about all the things she was going to do with her cousins. Lelia just smiled and nodded, piping in only when necessary. "Baylee, no showing off, okay? You need to be a good example to those boys." Lelia finally commented when Baylee proudly stated that she had to be better at magic then both boys combined. This got Lelia a confused look and a head tilt. "Why? Jayden did magic yesterday!" "I know he did. But they aren't supposed right now, because they are still learning. Just like how you shouldn't play with Daddy's wand." Baylee made an 'oh' sound, it finally clicking in her head. While Lelia and Carson couldn't prevent Baylee from doing magic, they had laid down the law on using wands. It didn't help to much though, seeing as Baylee seemed to be taking after Lelia's proficiency with wandless magic. Finally Baylee nodded. "Okay." Lelia smiled, and patted the girl's head. "Thank you. Now I think I heard one of them in the greenhouse. Why don't you go check?" Baylee didn't need to be told twice. She was racing off to the greenhouse Jayden had shown her yesterday, gone before her mother could reconsider her decision.
Slowly standing, Lelia kept a firm grip on the table, to keep herself balanced if her head started to swim... It didn't. So, she made her way to the kitchen, where she'd heard someone earlier, hoping it might be Hannah.
It was.
"Hannah? Is there anything I can help you with?" Lelia wanted to stay busy, and be as useful as possible to her newly acquainted sister-in-law. But not only that? She wanted to get to know the woman she'd heard so much about.

Hannah hadn't spent any one on one time with Lelia yet, and she as looking forward to doing just that. Sure, she was a little frustrated at the whole 'secret wife' situation, but she didn't blame the woman for one second. Nor did she blame Carson, really. Not after what happened last time.
She had gotten up early, as always, and had already gone down and done business this morning. She finally had a moment to take a break, which she used to go up to their flat and start working on some cookies to give that sweet little girl, and her own children of course. The boys would not be able to stay away, which is why she always made extra.
She was in the kitchen working when Lelia entered, asking if she needed any help. Hannah didn't look up just yet, "sure! I'm just making some sweets. I was thinking we could do multi colors-" she chuckled, looking up at the woman.
All the magical cooking in the kitchen stopped and Hannah cocked her head to one side. "You're pregnant."

Lelia could smell the cookies before she saw them, and smiled. Hannah's cooking, of course, was one of the many things she'd heard about from Carson. It did make her feel a little bad for her husband, because at home he had to put up with her more.... exotic cooking. If he wanted anything 'normal', he had do to it himself. Otherwise it was African cuisine she'd grown up with, or recipes their friends in Mexico had given her to try. Though to be honest, the smells hadn't been sitting well with her. They were getting better, and no longer sent her running to a bathroom... Most the time.
Hannah was in the middle of saying something, and turning to look at her, when she stopped, taking only a moment before speaking once more, her train of thought having changed course entirely. Lelia didn't know what Carson had told his sister last night when he'd gone to talk to her. It hadn't crossed her mind that he might not tell his sister about the pregnancy, if only because it was one of the reasons she'd used to convince Carson to let her and Baylee stay. Not only that, Hannah had been a healer, and a mother herself. She'd spot it pretty quickly. Lelia was only just beginning to show, as well.
Lelia slowly, and brightly smiled. "Yes." She finally responded, nodding just a little. "It's Carson's." It didn't really need to be mentioned, obviously, but it made her feel that same excitement as when she'd first found out. Carson didn't have a living biological child. While Baylee was his daughter, it wasn't through blood. Now he would have one of his own.

As Leliah confirmed it, Hannah smiled, setting her wand aside and rubbing the sugar and other ingredients off her hands before stepping forward, placing her hands on Lelia's shoulders. "Congratulations," she said, squeezing her shoulders tightly before pulling her hands back. "Have you told Carson and Baylee, yet?" she asked. She guessed that Lelia was about three or four months along at this point, but she wasn't as good at guessing that so she didn't say anything about it just yet.
"Here," she gestured for Lelia to follow her further into the kitchen and picked up her wand. After a few quick flourishes and things floating around a bit, there was a pitcher or iced tea on the tabletop. "I'm sure you've been taking very good care of yourself having been pregnant before. This is my cure for nausea," she said, gesturing to the tea, "Jayden was brutal in that regard," she chuckled.

Leliah smiled brightly back, and nodded. "It's why we came to London. To tell Carson. I told him last night. Baylee on the other hand...." She sighed, shaking her head a little. "She's at that age where she thinks she knows everything, and has already made her mind up that's I'm just 'sick'." Perhaps Carson would have better luck explaining the whole thing to Baylee.
"This pregnancy is very different from my first. I didn't even realize it until nine weeks in." she admitted as she sat down at the table, tilting her head a little at her sister-in-law. If she recalled correctly, Carson had mentioned that Hannah was formerly a healer. How good, she didn't know. But once a healer, always a healer. "Nausea has been mild, at least compared to Baylee. What would you suggest for low blood pressure..?" She knew the basics. At least what the healers back home had suggested. But different countries had different practices. Maybe she had at least one suggestion she hadn't already heard. Something that might actually help. The others, despite following them exactly, had done little so far.

She nodded as Lelia explained that they came to London for the very reason of telling Carson. "Well, I'm sure he's very happy about it. And worried," she added, in all honesty. Lelia no doubt knew about what had happened to his last family. There was no doubt in Hannahs mind that he was paranoid about that sort of thing now. Why else would he have kept his family a secret all of this time?
As Lelia said her nausea was mild compared to Baylee, Hannah smiled. "Well, that is a blessing, then. My Alice and Phil were incredibly easy, I almost didn't believe the pregnancy could be that uncomfortable. But then Jayden came along," she chuckled, "that boy is always turning me on my head. As for the low blood pressure," she went on to explain a few things that she thought would help and a potion or two. "We should grab some ingredients from the Greenhouse later," she suggested.
"I'm glad Baylee likes the boys so much. I just hope Alice tries to bond with her too," he said, turning to lift a wand toward her cooking once more so that it would commence on it's own. Then she turned back to Lelia. "It'd be good for her. Have you talked with her at all? Alice, I mean," she asked.

"Carson does worry quite a bit..." Lelia smiled softly. Hannah, being his sister, was more then aware of his protective tendencies. And Carson should have spoken to Hannah about the situation a bit, explaining why he'd kept the marriage a secret from her.
That smile brightened as Hannah spoke of her children. Obviously she didn't know them well, since she'd only met them yesterday, but she could already see their personalities a bit. Alice had been more mild and and silent during their introduction. Phil had a warmth that made Lelia smile. And Jayden had an energetic spark to him. "They all seem like good kids. From what I've seen and what Carson has told me." She paused for a moment. "Your boys seem to like children very much. I'm not even sure I'll be able to separate her from them tonight." She could already picture the tantrum. Baylee wouldn't like the idea at all. "Alice is the quiet one of the three, isn't she? I'm sure as soon as Baylee realizes that Alice is there she'll be swarming her. She's such a social butterfly, no one can avoid her for long." Especially when Baylee figured out that Alice was her only female cousin.... While she liked the boys, that would put Alice right on top. "Only for a few minutes, but I hope to catch her later to get to know her more."

Hannah nodded as Lelia confirmed that Carson was a worrier. Hannah knew this about him. heck, this was one of the reasons why he left the country for so long.
She laughed as Lelia said that she wasn't sure about her ability to separate the kids from each other when it was time to go. At her deductions about Alice, Hannah nodded. "She can be a very passionate girl, but she tends to keep her feelings more... subtle than others. When she wants you to know how she is feeling, though, you'll know" she chuckled. "I hope Baylee has a good influence on Alice in that regard," she added.
"Alice is going out of the country this summer on a trip with a friend of ours, but she will be back in the fall. Plus, we were thinking we should do a family camping trip or something when she gets back before the boys head back to school. What do you think?"
