Anna walked around outside. She didn't want to admit that she was bored, but she was. Normally she had a bunch of fun over at the burrow, but not today. Most of her cousins weren't there ... at least, not the ones she got along with, so she wasn't really sure what she wanted to do. Thus the walking. She'd thought about maybe flying for a bit, but she wasn't in the mood. So she stood around, not really doing anything. She got lost in her thoughts. It wasn't that hard to do, considering all that had happened in school over the last year. All the attacks, Ethan's death, being asked to help lead Phoenix Rising. It was a big responsibility, but she was excited for it. Hopefully this year they'd be able to keep the school safe. Somehow. She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even notice when someone joined her outside, which was probably a good thing ... Ondina Nell Weasley

Ondina wasn't too thrilled about spending the afternoon at the Burrow, a name she also detested. It made her family sound like a bunch of gophers. Dirty, grungy, poor. While that description might have fit the family when her grandparents were raising the seven children. But now? Not so much. They should have renamed it. Or spruced the place up. Because, from what she'd heard, the home hadn't gone through much, if any, renovations since her father was growing up. So, considering all of these factors, Ondina had decided to spend the afternoon outside, a choice she didn't make often.
Upon leaving the house, a book in hand, Ondina realized almost immediately that she wasn't alone. Her nose wrinkled in disgust at the sight of the red hair. A Weasley trait that she had, thankfully, not inherited. She took after her mother. A moment after spotting that mass of hair, she recognized it's owner. Molly (the second), or as she preferred, Annelise/Anna. To be honest, Ondina had always liked her sister, Lucy, far more. But she was better company then several of her other cousins. Like Rose. "Where's the rset of your family?" Why bother with introductions? They were family after all.

Anna jumped and spun around when she heard a familiar voice coming from behind her. Ondina. Hmm ... she hadn't really expected her cousin to start a conversation with her, but it wasn't necessarily a bad thing. The two of them had never been really close, but Anna had nothing against Ondina. Nothing personal, anyways. Sometimes she didn't like the way Ondina treated others, but the people she mistreated often seemed to treat her the same way. Anna preferred to stay away from all that drama. "Oh, they went out for the day, I think. I'm not exactly sure what they're up to, but I just wasn't in the mood, so I decided to stay here," she said. She really didn't know what was going on with her family. In the summer they did some things together, but mostly they just did whatever they wanted/needed to do. Often, that meant Anna was alone. "What about yours?" Ondina Nell Weasley (OOC: Sorry it took so long ...)

Ondina couldn't help that satisfied smirk at her cousin's startled response. "Jumpy today?" the girl teased, calling out her cousin. Why waste an opportunity to torment the redhead?
"Pity Lucy didn't stay." Ondina retorted quite seriously as Anna explained they went out for the day. The entire Weasley clan knew that Ondina got along best with Lucy. And all the cousins knew that they could be a dangerous pair. Especially at school when their other friends were around. The group of Slytherin girls had a knack for trouble and drama. "I haven't seen her all week." Yup, Ondina was making her preference known. But the way she spoke almost sounded like she wasa considering Annelise a suitable replacement until her twin returned. "Oh, mine? Xavier's spending the summer with Uncle Ron's family. Harper is working. And I'm bored."

Anna shrugged, "Well, I wasn't expecting anyone else out here, so a little bit I guess." She refused to rise to the bait, not really in the mood to go at it with Ondina. Granted, she rarely was in the mood to do that with her cousin, but it didn't change her attitude now. She was going to remain calm. "Yeah, sorry 'bout that," Anna said unrepentantly. "Maybe if she knew you were here she would've." Anna wasn't sorry that Lucy wasn't here, but what she said was true. Anna knew that Lucy probably would have stayed if she knew Ondina was there. Those two were as thick as thieves. "You're bored? Then why did you decide to come here?" Anna couldn't help her curiosity. At least Ondina wasn't angry or annoyed. They actually seemed to be getting along quite well. Anna considered that a good thing, since they were both hanging out together. Ondina Nell Weasley

Ondina tilted her head a little at the admittance and twirled a lock of her dark blonde hair between her fingers. "You have how many relatives and you thought there would be no one here?" The way she put it was meant to be insulting, a mocking tone behind her words. That was just Ondina though, quite to insult and mock. A trait that usually got her in trouble with Albus. Her and Albus were a volatile combination, especially now that they were both permitted to do magic outside school.
"Hmm. I suppose... Well, I can always catch up with her later." Ondina admitted with a shrug. She and the rest of her friends from school were planning on meeting up sometime this summer, so she'd see Lucy then. But considering they were cousin, if she stuck around here long enough Lucy was bound to show up. That was always the nice thing about being related to one of your closest friends. "Well, I could be bored at home, with just my parents, who probably aren't even there. Or I could be bored here, where I would eventually find a distraction. I opted for the second option." She offered as an explanation with a smirk. "Why are you here though?"

Anna scrunched her face at Ondina's good question. "Well, it looked abandoned when I got here. I walked around and couldn't find anyone so I wasn't expecting someone to suddenly be here," she tried to explain. Anna listened to Ondina without saying a word. She wasn't going to apologize again for her sister not being here, so she really had nothing to say about that. Then Ondina started talking about being bored. Anna understood that. Normally she was pretty good at keeping herself occupied and busy, but this summer she hadn't. It was a slow one for her. Anna shrugged, "Almost the same. I either wanted distraction or a quiet place to think outside of my home. I've spent too much of the summer there already, so I thought I'd come here. Normally there are quite a few people here so I thought they could give me something to think about or do and if not I could just come outside and think. Looks like I've done a little bit of both so far," she finished with a small smile. "You have any idea where the rest of the family is though? It's not common for there to just be two of us here?"Ondina Nell Weasley

Ondina shrugged at her cousin’s comment about it looking abandoned, choosing not to comment. In her opinion this place should be abandoned. It looked like a danger hazard just walking in, suspended purely by magic, probably. She flat out refused to go to the upper stories of the home, convinced that a strong gust of wind would knock the house over at a moment’s notice.
She ran her fingers through her hair as Anna explained why she was there. That was definitely one of the advantages to this place, despite Ondina’s dislike of it. There were usually plenty of people to distract you, but there was also plenty of space outside to keep you occupied. Though she’d never enjoyed Quidditch, the place was secluded enough that her cousins’ had always been able to play without any worry of muggle seeing them. You didn’t have to pretend to be normal here, or worry that muggles might see something they shouldn’t. ”Good point.” she agreed softly. At the next question, she paused, tapping a finger to her chin. ”Hm… Well, I don’t know about Grandpa, but I think Grandma went to deliver something, she’ll probably be back soon. The rest... who knows. There are too many of us to keep track of.“

Anna wasn't sure how to react to her cousin. Ondina seemed annoyed by the fact that there were so many Weasleys, which was something that she always loved about her family. The fact that she could find someone she knew and loved in so many places was always a comfort to her, something she enjoyed. It wasn't a surprised that Ondina didn't feel the same way. So Anna tried to think of something they could do. Something that might lighten Ondina's mood, something that would keep the boredom at bay, but her mind was blank. She couldn't think of a single thing. "Well, since we're the only ones here is there anything you want to do? I came here to get away from the boredom of home, but nothing is coming to mind ..." she trailed off, not sure of what else to say. Maybe Ondina would have a good idea, but Anna wasn't holding her breath about it. Ondina Nell Weasley

What could they do? Well, that was a good question. Ondina lightly tapped her chin with her index finger. ”Hmmmm…. I don’t know.” She answered honestly. Now that she was thinking about it, she knew very little about this cousin in particular, despite them being the same age. The feeling was probably mutual, as Ondina did very little when it came to getting to know her own family. She’d always been the sheltered one, growing up. Never playing outside with her cousins. She’d spent more time with the adults then her cousins. While Lucy had become close friends with Ondina over the years, the others had remained at arm’s length still. ”What do you usually do for fun?” She asked, head tilting a little.

Anna wasn't really surprised that they were both having a hard time to come up with something to drive the boredom away. She and Ondina had never been particularly close. She wouldn't mind working on that relationship, but she also knew that Ondina much preferred Lucy, so that probably wouldn't happen. She pursed her lips as she tried to think of something they could do. Honestly, she didn't know what Ondina liked. "Well, there's always flying or wizards chess ..." she trailed off. While that was true, she wasn't really in the mood for either. The truth was, she normally just talked with her cousins or did what they wanted to do. She gave a small smile, "Lately we mostly just talk with one another," she confessed with a shrug. Ondina Nell Weasley

Chess.
Ondina actually seemed to perk up at that suggestion. Like, giant grin and clapped her hands together in... almost excitement. She was good at chess. Very good. She had... well, she had Scorpius had been playing each other for years. Both of them had been in the Chess club since second year. So, yes. She liked chess. Quite a bit. "That's a great idea!" She failed, or rather chose not to, noticed that Anna seemed less thrilled at the idea of chess then she was. "Don't worry. I'll teach you how. If you don't know how to play. Do you know how? Oh, it doesn't matter, I'll probably win anyway." Boy, she was excited, with that slight rambling. Quickly she took her cousin's hand and turned to head back into the house, determined to drag Anna if need be. "Come on. I know where they keep the chess sets."
