So far it had been an uneventful summer. Vi was at home the majority of the time alone and she had not spoken to her brother since he had been taken during the kidnappings on April first before school let out, thought she had a strong feeling that he was indeed okay. It wasn't like a Nott to roll over without a fight. Besides... Notts just didn't rollover. So, she wouldn't be surprised if her brother were off in hiding somewhere or something. But Viovinnia herself was left very bored. She was stuck having to wait out the summer months before having to return back to Hogwarts, which she dreaded. She had honestly tried to convince her parents to let her return to homeschooling once she knew that Elaine Dupree had been outed but of course, her parents were concerned about some "bigger picture" and insisted she stay in school and connected to those who had "connections."
The Slytherin had not seen that Gryffindor boy all summer and while she kept it deep, deep within herself... it kind of bothered her. Sitting at home with nothing to do but punch a punching bag, run miles, or practice her magic now that she was of age... she was beginning to grow antsy and even a little mad because of how often she had caught herself thinking of the blonde Gryffindor. He had graduated by now and had to be off doing more interesting things than she but... she just found herself wondering. Eventually she grew aggravated at herself with the fact that such a person was clouding her mind so she decided to take a trip to London to visit Diagon Alley. She wasn't sure what she needed, having not received her school list yet, but she was set on buying something.
The Notts were a fairly wealthy family so Vi had at her own disposal money that she could spend freely. She walked the fairly busy streets of the wizarding marketplace and looked up and down at the windows until she saw something that caught her eye: a shiny, emerald green robe. She had to have it. Did she need it? Not at all. But spending her money seemed like a good enough distraction. She entered the robe shop and asked (moreso demanded,) to see the robe in the window and the shopkeeper obliged. Vi stepped up onto the stool on which they tailored customers and she happily modeled it for the shopkeeper as they tailored it to her needs.
The blonde wore a fairly blank face though she felt quite content with herself having found a good enough distraction. That was when the doorbell dinged and in walked another customer. Vi paid them no mind until a few minutes later, after they had walked around a bit and she caught a glimpse of their face. She recognized the person immediately and a wicked smirk crossed her face. "My, my... a badger came out of its hole," she cooed smoothly at the boy she recognized as Kyle McCartney.

I know it's hurting you but it's killing me Most summer days were days that flew by for Kyle. Days like those were ones that seemed to be gone before he even realized they were there. However today was not one of those days. Today was a day that was filled with things to do and when Kyle had things to do it seemed like the days dragged on longer than usual. That was not a bad thing for him though, he pondered this thought as he strolled his way down Diagon Alley. Currently he was on his way to Madame Malkin's Robes For All Occasions a modest sized shop for its consumer base. The shop was commonly known by all young witches and wizards as "The" place to go for stylish robes for the upcoming school year. Kyle did not want to be one of those kids who was caught wearing old or out of style robes. So it was, and as it was every year Kyle gathered some money earlier that morning from Gringott's and was ready to buy his new robes.
He pushed open the shop doors and was immediately hit by the smell of cotton and incense, an oddly pleasing sense to hit the senses. Although that might not be the best combination of adjectives, Kyle's mind never really thought at the level of superior English that his mouth at times produced. He didn't take much notice to the patrons of the shop at the moment he walked in, either because he was more focused on the task at hand or because he had entered this shop many times in the past. His mind again wandered to memories from his past, specifically ones that occurred here at this very shop. As he began to browse through the assortment of robes on the hangers he thought of the people he had met over the years here at Madame Malkin's. Faces were not always easy to pair with names for Kyle, however when a new face was one that was memorable Kyle did not have a hard time with pairing that face with it's name. He pulled a set of dark ebony robes from the rack, the soft fabric was the darkest of blacks that he had ever seen, almost as if the fabric was a void in space itself. Kyle nodded in application for the clothing's superior appeal and began to make his way to the front where the shopkeeper would help him have the robes fitted. Kyle continued to look down at the robes as he rounded the corner to the front open area of the shop. Suddenly a familiar voice broke him from his trance with the fabric in his hands, a soft yet strong voice that was laced with a playful sharpness that was one of a kind.
Kyle looked up to the person who called to him, the thin face framed with blonde straight hair that looked back at him was none other than Viovinnia Nott. She was a confident and intelligent Slytherin girl, one that he was familiar with and knew so much about. She was beautiful there was no arguing that, her long legs and deep green eyes being prominent attractive features about her. Most of the men at Hogwarts did not miss her when she walked by, she was after all quite popular at school. Kyle smiled as he registered her words, and slightly laughed as he walked over to a chair beside where she stood on the riser. "Well most badgers are known to seek out snakes though I can assure you I did not come here with the intentions of eating any reptiles." He sat down in the chair looking at Viovinnia. "Come to think of it I don't believe my diet has ever consisted of reptiles. Snakes seem like they would not be pleasant to eat. They are however quite interesting to interact with, and they are pleasant to look at." He smiled as he retorted back to her, the two of them had frequently had this type of banter back and forth, and from the outside looking in it might seem like it was cutting and venomous, however to Kyle it was just a part of the thrill of interacting with her.
In the animal kingdom badgers are know as rather solitary creatures that move from place to place digging little holes in the ground to live in. They are short and have stubby legs that allow them to do said digging and also provide them with a interesting posture. However cute and cuddly the badger may seem they are known as quite expert hunters, and diet on plants and animals alike. A very commonly known part of the badger's diet is the Snake. Kyle had never thought of the idea of hunting a Snake, the thought was interesting and seemed like it could be quite a good time.

Vi wore a mischeivous grin when the Hufflepuff finally acknowledged her and spoke up. Vi stood still, however, as the tailoring witch poked needles here and there to fit her robes correctly. But Vi was very good at sitting still, she was used to having her clothes tailored in such ways. Growing up in a wealthy pureblood home, her family would often attend very lavish parties and Vi's mother would take her to have her dresses fitted correctly before such parties. Vi was a pro at sitting still and still being able to talk down to others. Kyle Williams wasn't going to be an exception.
"I'd be careful if I were you, Williams," Vi warned with a smirk. "Snakes are known to be venomous." Vi enjoyed playing up to the house animal metaphors. They always made interactions more interesting. Vi knew Kyle well enough. She knew he was on the Quidditch team and that he usually hung around with his Gryffindor friend, Grey. Vi glanced around as the tailor began to work on the bottom hem of Vi's robes. "Where's your little lion friend?" She looked back at Kyle. "Decided you could try on robes by yourself, did you?"

I know it's hurting you but it's killing me Kyle smiled and chuckled as Vi poked and prodded at him. He enjoyed it when others teased him. Maybe it was because his siblings always picked on him. Perhaps it was Grey always prodding him. Either way Kyle enjoyed her venomous words and he wanted to see if he could get her to sink her fangs in any deeper. "You know Vi it's always wise to keep strong friends like lions around. As a matter of fact Grey is quite a strong friend to have." He twirled his wand around in his fingers and looked on at her as she had the dark fabric pulled across her body.
Kyle looked on as Vi had the robes fitted to her. She was an attractive woman. Her tall thin frame shrouded by the long black silk robes that draped down to the floor. Kyle blinked for a moment realizing that she might find out he was sort of staring. Kyle brushed off the moment and spoke up trying his best to make Vi realize that he was trying to get a reaction from her. Weather it was a good reaction or a bad one one thing was certain. He did think she was attractive and for Kyle, making the tall blonde Slytherin woman know that was the only thing on his mind.
