It was only now that summer was drawing to an end that Theodosia’s friends deemed it necessary to spend time with her; her meeting with Lucy in Borgin and Burke’s had been nice enough, but Theodosia wasn’t as interested in one half of the Slytherin Weasley duo as she was with her own relations. Granted, she and Viovinnia were barely related – in some pureblood circles, it would probably be acceptable for them to marry each other, if they weren't the same gender – but it was still a familial bond that Theo intended to lord over her first cousin once removed. If you were related to influential people, even peripherally, it was worth exploiting.
Theodosia had agreed to meet Vi in some seedy backstreet in London, though she wasn’t exactly sure why that was their location of choice. If Theo was a paranoid person, she might have assumed that Viovinnia was going to try her dueling skills on an unsuspecting victim. She certainly hoped that wasn’t the plan, because while the street was secluded and shady, there were still a few people lurking around; enough people that they’d definitely be seen if either of them used magic. Theodosia wasn’t legal, anyways, though that didn’t keep her from keeping her hand on the handle of her wand, just in case any of the unsavory characters in the alley wanted to try something with her.

Viovinnia had managed to get out of the house long enough to visit London. She had been doing that quite a lot lately, instead of staying at home and occupying herself with books and training like she usually did. Perhaps it was because she half-hoped she would run into the blonde Gryffindor she had met, but she would never admit that even to herself. No, she was out of the house much more lately and busying herself with odd errands and even meeting up with some peers from school.
Vi didn't really have friends. There were the select few that she didn't mind the company of, but they were always much like herself: pureblooded, Slytherin, and they had some relative idea of Elaine's old group that she had started at the school. That was what she had wanted to discuss today, she figured it was as good a topic of any to get her mind off of the Gryffindor boy. She had tried to get her favorite group of people together but all of them had been busy except for one. The youngest of the group, Theodosia. While she was young, the young girl had promise and Vi could tell she was worth something. Vi prided herself in usually being able to judge people correctly, so she had a strong feeling that this girl wouldn't prove her wrong.
She had owled Theodosia (whom she refused to call 'Theo'; she didn't even call her own brother that,) and asked her to meet her in London. Vi had chosen such a secluded spot only because she didn't want anyone else seeing them, not even Elaine if she were to somehow show up out of the blue. Vi walked into the alleyway, wearing a leather jacket with the hood over her head when she saw Theodosia. "I knew you were one who could be counted on," she said, a wicked smirk playing at her lips.
@theodosia Haha okay so I have an idea and I will PM you soon

Theodosia was not the kind of girl who could be easily flattered. She considered herself a lot like Viovinnia, actually; they were both ruthlessly efficient and intelligent, caring little for what the world thought of them so long as they thought highly of themselves. Still, Theodosia would be amiss to say that she didn’t feel the slightest swell of happiness inside of her when Viovinnia proclaimed that the younger girl could be counted on. She tried not to puff up with pride; Theodosia didn’t want to seem arrogant, especially since she was so much younger than Viovinnia. She was the youngest of the group of people that she considered friends, though age wouldn’t be an issue, Theo suspected. She was proving herself worthy over and over again.
“Is there a reason you chose such an unsavory location, Viovinnia?” Theodosia asked, arching an eyebrow. She didn’t want to complain, but she figured there had to be some sort of reason beyond just aesthetic for coming to a backstreet in such an awful part of town. Secrecy was important, but Theodosia didn’t even know the beginning of what kind of secrets her barely-relative had to tell.

To be quite honest, Viovinnia was not entirely sure why she had chosen such an odd place to meet other than the "not being seen" part. Perhaps it was just the thrill of meeting in a back alley that appealled to Vi so much; made her feel more like she was doing some shady deal. And that seemed to fit along with the nature of the Purifiers and what she was about to tell Theodosia. "For fun," she shrugged with a smirk, walking over to sit on top of a dumpster. She crossed her legs and sat up straight to look down at Theodosia. While she did believe the young Slytherin worthy of her time and worthy to speak to, Vi still considered herself above everyone else. And she showed that by sitting up higher. It was just how she liked to show her own power.
"Theodosia," Vi started, setting her hands neatly in her lap. "What do you think of Mathieu Helvitius?"

Theodosia couldn’t help but chuckle when Viovinnia said that she had chosen this place for fun. Only someone like the elder Slytherin would think that the chance of getting murdered while having a clandestine conversation was fun. Of course, Theo couldn’t help but agree, now that the idea was in her head. There was an allure in danger, especially for someone like the younger girl, who was all too eager to continue to prove her value to her distant relation. In light of that desire, it was no surprise that when Viovinnia asked about Mathieu Helvitius that Theodosia thought for a while before answering. “He seems to be satisfactory, I suppose.” She answered. “He’s a pureblood, and he is a part of…” The Purifiers. It didn’t seem a good idea to say that name in public, though, so Theodosia allowed Viovinnia to fill in the blank. “But I suppose looks can always be deceiving. Is there something going on with him?” Theodosia was all too eager to get in the know about Mathieu, and then tear him apart.

Viovinnia was glad that if they had recruited any underclassmen, it was Theodosia. The girl was just as ruthless as they were and Vi could appreciate a younger one with a mouth and attitude to match. Vi's expression was, as like always, fairly blank as Theodosia explained what she thought of Matheiu. The corner of Vi's mouth dared to twitch into a smirk when she mentally filled in the blank of Theo's sentence.
"He's obviously better at keeping up appearances than I suppose I could give him credit for," Vi said, folding her arms across her chest. "But... I don't trust him as far as I could throw him." She smirked at the fifth year. "You know he's involved with a halfblood, yes?"

Well, this was interesting. Theodosia listened patiently as Viovinnia explained the situation with Mathieu. He was good at keeping up appearances, but he was interested in a half-blood, of all people. That seemed a little counterintuitive, giving the ideology he professed to, but Theodosia was going to wait until Viovinnia gave a little more of her own opinion before she said anything incriminating. “I was not aware.” Theodosia said calmly. “But I can see how that would be rather upsetting to certain parties we’re affiliated with, including yourself.” Theo searched Vi for any further clues in her face of things she could say to please her older relative. “Am I correct in assuming you want some help in ameliorating that situation?” They could eliminate the half-blood easily, if that was what Viovinnia wanted. Theodosia didn’t normally let others take the reins, but she was convinced Viovinnia would know what to do in such a delicate position.

Viovinnia walked around Theodosia, almost as if pacing. How could someone in their "group" jeopardize all they were fighting for by hanging around a halfblood. Vi's nose wrinkled in disgust at the thought. Being with a halfblood? Who would do such a thing? "It's that wretched little badger; the Seeker for her house," she continued on. "The one who can't seek a Snitch to save her damn life?" Vi smirked at that thought.
"But yes," Vi continued, looking back at her relative. It was nice to have Theodosia as part of the team; that way it was like their cliqued balanced out. Lucy and Ondina were family, so it was only right Vi and Theodosia were too. Kinda. But Vi liked the way Theodosia thought. She was certainly a wise addition to their group. "Exactly. We need to... elimate the badger from the picture, so to speak." A wicked smirk appeared on Vi's face at the thought. There was nothing she loved more than taking someone down.

Theodosia was aware of the fact that Viovinnia was circling around her, but didn’t pay it much mind; it would be exhausting (and probably dizzying) to track Vi with her eyes. Just hearing what she had to say was enough. Theo didn’t really pay attention to Quidditch, except for when Slytherin won and there was free alcohol available, so the reference to Hufflepuff’s Seeker went right over her head. She nodded, though – it wouldn’t be too difficult to figure out who Viovinnia was referring to when school started again. She’d just have to pay a little more attention to the Hufflepuff table. Ew.
“When you say eliminate, are we talking another Ethan Johnson situation?” Theodosia asked calmly. She wasn’t opposed to murdering someone, at least not on principle, but she was curious as to what Viovinnia meant by elimination. There were other ways to get someone out of the picture that didn’t involve nasty cleanup, and some of those ways were more fun, too. Like emotional manipulation – making the badger believe that Mathieu didn’t love her would be a worthwhile pastime, too.
