@odette 215 <3 It was Elias' first day in England and he was liking it so far. Him and his mum at got in last night late after flying here so they had just settled down in the hotel they were in and got some rest before the next day. He wasn't sure where he wanted to go exactly but he knew his feet would take him somewhere interesting. He had already stopped into a few stores and glanced around, checking out what they had in this country. Only some things were a bit different but he understood English perfectly so there wouldn't be a language barrier when he got to Hogwarts in a few weeks.
Elias was wearing a pair of dark blue jeans and a navy blue V-neck t-shirt. A pair of black and white converse adorned his feet and he had his hair let down today, his brown curls falling over his shoulders. Stopping at a small coffee cart, he ordered a large iced coffee and thanked the lady who made it. Turning around, Elias abruptly bumped into someone behind him. He immediately reached out and grabbed her so she didn't fall and shook his head. "I'm so sorry, darling! I should've been paying attention." He felt horrible; usually he was more aware of his surroundings.

Another long day (or rather, night,) of work for Odette left her exhausted. But that was part of the job when you agreed to doing overnight missions when the job called for it. Odette had left Gringotts and exited Diagon Alley through the Leaky Cauldron and was now wandering the streets of London to get back to her flat. It was her regular commute, though she was just heading home so early in the morning rather than heading to work. She unfortunately had to be back at work again the next morning and couldn't afford to go home and catch up on sleep so early in the day so she made her way to the coffee cart she knew was halfway between home and work.
Odette got in line behind someone with long, dark hair - she wasn't sure if the person was male or female but she didn't really care. She busied herself with looking around at the passersby and tapped her foot as she waited to be next in line for a drink. Finally, the person in front of her was ordering and she readied herself to order but right before she stepped up behind the person in front of her, that person was turning around and bumping right into her.
Luckily, the person - a male - was quick on his feet and grabbed Odette to help steady her. It was even more lucky that he had not spilled any coffee on her... well, lucky for him. Odette brushed her shirt off and let out a frustrated sigh. She was not in the mood to deal with people who were just starting their day when she had already been up for close to 24 hours. "You should have," she hissed and tore away from the young man. It was then that Odette looked up at him and the aggravated look on her face slowly turned into one of curiosity. The boy standing in front of her looked... oddly familiar. But Odette had had that feeling more often than she would have liked this past year and as she realized just how familiar he looked, her heart felt like it skipped a beat. She had to cut right to the chase.
"What's your name?" She asked, less harshly now but still cautious.

@odette 154 <3 At the woman's response, Elias' eye's widened. Jeesh, she must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Then again, she looked tired, so maybe she hadn't even gone to bed yet. However when she got a closer look at him, she seemed to have calmed down quite a bit and it confused him slightly.
After she got over whatever shock she had, she asked what his name was. She still had a slight attitude to her tone, but Elias was used to ignoring that part of people. And he had a nice charm, so that usually helped out when speaking with others who were angry. Deciding to do exactly that, he smiled at her and with his thick accent, "Again, I apologize, if I could buy you a coffee I'd be honored."
Elias held his hand out for a hand shake, "I'm Elias, Elias Greyback. Visiting from Durmstrang. And what's your name, miss?"

If there was anything Odette had learned this year, it was to go with your gut. After meeting four siblings she never knew she even had, she had learned to trust her instincts a lot more. She had an unsettling feeling about the boy in front of her and she prayed to Merlin that her gut was wrong this time. "Thanks, but I'm fine," she declined the coffee with a forced smile. He seemed harmless enough but Odette just got an odd feeling from him...
Then, as if on queue, came the wrecking ball that tore down all walls Odette always worked so hard to keep up. Her mouth fell open slightly, her heartbeat sped up a crazy amount, and she felt dizzy. Her eyes widened at the boy. "Keep it together," she told herself. "You've been through this. Keep it together." It felt like a long time until Odette finally regained her composure and let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. Odette really had a knack for running into her half-siblings in terrible situations. She took his hand to shake and a slightly sarcastic smile dawned her face. Did the universe have even more siblings she didn't know about?
"Odette Greyback. And on second thought, a coffee would be nice."

@odette 162 <3 As she gave what looked like a forced smile and declined the coffee, he nodded slightly with a warm smile. Being used to ignoring people who acted like this on a daily, he wasn't offended, but he was actually interested in her. She seemed different...and was acting a lot different around him than most others did.
And then suddenly, he couldn't hear anything. He couldn't breathe. He couldn't see. His heart exploded out of his chest, and his entire mouth went dry. He watched the girl's mouth fall open as well, and Elias blinked multiple times. He began studying her face; the dark eyebrows, dark hair, tanner skin...this is when Elias realized how much they looked alike. Gulping, he licked his lips and tried to talk himself back into being calm. Coughing slightly, he nodded, "Of, of course Odette...what kind of coffee would you like?" Greyback? He kept repeating it over and over again in his head, Odette Greyback, Odette Greyback, Odette Greyback.

One would think that by now, Odette would be used to running into siblings she didn't know she had but the shock of yet another was just like any of the others she had felt when she met Aaron, Jamie, Adrian, or Max. She had to wonder, though, where this guy got his accent. Adrian was German, after all... obviously Fenrir traveled far and wide.
Odette tried to remain calm. She had fairly good relationships now with Aaron and Jamie, and she was pretty sure she and Max were on good terms, so she didn't want to mess this one up. She was over the scary part now. She had accepted that she had siblings and she was ready to be a sister; if she had to be a sister to five instead of four, then so be it. "Um... just a regular one with cream and sugar," she responded, far more calm now. It was a good thing she had met four other siblings before this one. He got really lucky.
"So uh," Odette started awkwardly. "Sorry for that... reaction. It's just, you're not the first sibling I've been surprised with this year..."

@odette 223 <3 Elias nodded with a nervous smile. He couldn't even comprehend what that meant, or what was going on. This was not what he expected when coming to London. All he had expected was a fun time at Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament, and maybe to make a couple of friends. But a sibling? A sister, to be factual? He was still having trouble trying to understand and cope as he turned around to order a coffee for Odette. It was a beautiful name, that fit a beautiful face, a face that looked oddly similar to his own. He nodded to the cashier and turned, more carefully this time, to hand her the coffee.
He shook his head at her and motioned his hand. "Don't, don't apologize. It's completely fine. I...I just don't know." Elias wasn't one to not be able to hold a conversation, but he couldn't stop staring at her. He'd grown up for seventeen years, just him and his mother, and here was this girl, who looked about twenty, that he had no idea about. Did his mother know? He made a face, making note to ask her later. Taking a deep breath, he hoped that what she said meant she had siblings not from Fenrir. Swallowing nervously, he gave her a small, scared smile, "Oh, you have other siblings? From your mother?"

Odette silently hoped that there was no one else she could possibly be related to out there in the world as her newly discovered half-brother kindly ordered her a coffee. As she patiently waited for her coffee, Odette couldn't help but study Elias's face. They shared some similar features... like their dark hair and eyes. But really, she couldn't help but see Jamie in his facial features. He looked a lot like Jamie and it was weird to her. She silently wondered to herself what Jamie would possibly do if she knew she had yet another sibling.
The Curse Breaker wasn't sure what to say herself as she stood in silence after Elias said her reaction had been okay. It hadn't, she knew that... but Odette had always had a temper with things like that. She was one for not being able to hold a conversation. Her whole relationship with Jamie (up until recently,) had been living proof of that fact. Elias seemed interested at the idea of her having siblings and she could feel herself freeze nervously when he asked if they were from her mother's side. It wasn't because she froze up at the mention of her dead mother, but the fact that this boy really didn't know about any of his siblings. That kind of broke Odette's heart.
"Uh, yeah. I have four other siblings," Odette replied very awkwardly. She left the second question unanswered, though. And decided to use the "mother" thing as an excuse out of talking about the fact she had siblings. She didn't want to be the one to break it to him. "My, uh, my mom died when I was fourteen so... I live with just my grandparents." There. That was harmless, and it didn't leave anything open to whether or not she lived with those siblings too. Perfect.

@odette <3 Four? Four...wow. Elias took a deep breath. He didn't mention her siblings again. Mostly because she didn't say they were on her mom's side, and Elias really didn't want to take the chance of knowing whether or not they were also his siblings as much as they were hers. He needed time to process Odette, and he'd rather have the thought in the back of his head that he may have more siblings, than just knowing about Odette herself.
"I'm sorry about your mother, Odette...I'm glad you had someone to raise you, though." Elias didn't know what he would do if anything had happened to his mother. He didn't have any other family, other than Maria, and if he was brought up by her parents he'd be a completely different person and that wasn't what he wanted either.

Odette wasn't sure what to truly think about having yet another sibling. Sure, she had met several other but meeting them hadn't been without their own ups and downs. She wanted to avoid that with Elias, though. As far as he knew, still, they weren't siblings. Though, Odette was sure he could probably put two and two together fairly easily.
"Me too," Odette said a little lamely. She had come to terms with her mother's death years ago, so she didn't harp on it. Instead she decided to try to figure out more about Elias. "So... who did you grow up with, then?" She asked awkwardly.

@odette <3 Odette seemed to have come to terms with her mother's death, and Elias assumed she would have. She didn't seem much older than him, but she said her mother passed when she was 14 so it had been a few years. Elias felt deeply for her; his mother was the only one he had ever really known, ever loved. He wasn't sure what he'd do with his life if he didn't have Elsi around.
She questioned his own family from home and he smiled gently. "Just my mum. In Bulgaria. But since I'm here at Hogwarts I'm not sure if she'll be moving here or staying there..." Elias' voice slowly got slower as he thought about being away from his mother for so long. He looked back at Odette and spoke again. "And my cousin, Maria. She's pretty much my only friend." It sounded sad, but Elias loved Maria.

Odette was glad that Elias had his mother. Odette didn't have her mother, and Jamie had recently just left her mum too. She was glad, though, that most of her siblings seemed to have good relationships with at least their mother. She was sad, however, because she felt she could not yet say anything to Elias about their other siblings. She felt it wasn't her place. Not here. But she was certain... she was positive they were siblings.
"I'm certain she will come and visit you," Odette nodded along with Elias. "In fact, if she... needs a place to stay, I have an extra room." She offered up her guest room to her half-brother's mother. It couldn't be so bad, right? Besides, in due time he would know about the others and then with his mother around, Odette would have more reason to go and visit the school. And she could bring Aaron, too! "Well, Elias," Odette said, holding up her coffee as if you toast. "You've made yourself another friend today." She offered up a small half smile.
@jill6 We could wrap this up soon to start a new one

@odette <3 His eyes widened. That was so sweet, such a wonderful offer. Elias smiled at her. "That's very sweet of you, Odette...thank you. I'll pass the message along to her and I'll let you know what she says." Elias wasn't sure his mother would be comfortable with it, but hey, it was worth a shot right? And having his mum close by would be even better. With his thick accent, he laughed, "Well, Odette. I've got to go now...I hope I can see you soon. And maybe next time, instead of friends we could be siblings." Elias said sweetly. He turned as he walked away to get a good look at her, and then waved.
