It was the start of a new year. And the girls were more then ready.
To leave a mark that wouldn't be forgotten.
Ondina and her friends had already been making a name for themselves over the years. Lucy and Ondina had always been a powerhouse, since their first year. The next year, they'd met Raven, and the following year they found little Theodosia. And finally Vi had joined them last year. This year would be their best yet, and it was also their last shot. This would be their final year for most of them. All summer the girl's had been writing letters back and forth, or meeting up. Preparing for this year. And now it was finally here.
They all sat together, making it clear to everyone else at their table just what was happening here. That lines were being drawn, and they better watch out. The announcement of the Tri-Wizard tournament didn't interest Ondina much. She had her elbows propped up on the table, her chin in her hands as she rolled her eyes. "Waste of time." she muttered, and lifted her head off her hands and waved one lazily at Vi and Lucy. "You two can enter, of course. But I'm not going to be his bloody show pony." she motioned to the Headmaster at that point. It wasn't just the 'student' that would be famous for being chosen, after all.

Theodosia was looking forward to this school year. It was the last year before the majority of her friends (well, actually, all of them) graduated. She had to learn as much as she could before their departure, so that when they left she would be able to assume the mantle of Queen Bee. She hoped that they’d find a few other like-minded girls to join them before graduation, just so Theo didn’t have to bear the burden of being the only realistic and sane one all by herself. Of course, that was a problem for the rest of the year – today, all she had to do was listen to their stupid headmaster blather on and on about whatever the hell he thought was important, like Muggleborns getting jobs or something. Pathetic.
Theo turned her head at the end of the speech to focus on Ondina, who said that the Triwizard Tournament – also known as the only thing that the headmaster had talked about that was actually interesting – was a waste of time. Theo shrugged, but didn’t say anything. It wasn’t like she could enter anyway. “Would be a shame if the Mudblood were to be Hogwarts champion, though.” Theodosia commented idly. “Do you think any of your blood traitor cousins will enter?” A lot of the Weasleys were seventh years this year, if Theodosia wasn’t mistaken, and it would be a shame if any of them, other than Ondina or Lucy, of course, were to be selected as the champion. Their family had already done enough.

Raven wasn't sure she considered the rest of the girls in Hexen friends, per say, but they made delicious acquaintances. They all shared the same dislike for Muggleborns and people in general. They were paving the way for Raven to rule the school once the seventh years graduated. Of course, the conversation was pointed toward the Triwizard Tournament, as almost all conversation was nowadays. "If you two don't participate, then no one is worth of competing for Hogwarts. What are the options, anyway? A Mudblood, the color freak, a bunch of Gryffindors, and my useless brother. Gross," she said bitterly. Raven herself wanted nothing more than an opportunity to compete in the tournament, but she would have to settle for supporting the eligible members of Hexen. Sure, Longbottom would get credit for their victory, but it would also make the members of Hexen even more feared and respected once they won. Raven twirled her hair into a long braid and sighed. "It had better be one of you. Anyone but my brother," she grumbled. Ondina Nell Weasley@vi @lucy @theodosia

Lucy, Ondina, and Viovinnia had vowed that they would make their final year at Hogwarts their greatest yet, and Lucy couldn’t disagree with that, particularly when Professor Longbottom announced that Hogwarts would be hosting the Triwizard Tournament once again. Captivated by the entrance of the students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, Lucy barely noticed that the other girls had started to discuss it. “You two can enter, of course. But I'm not going to be his bloody show pony.” Lucy couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Actually, she could, because it was Ondina, her own cousin, who had said it. She didn't want the attention? For Lucy, it was the international attention that was too much to pass up. “Thanks for your permission,” Lucy commented sarcastically, turning her head to look at Ondina. Regardless of what she—or any of the others said—Lucy had already made her mind up that she was going to put her name into the Goblet of Fire for consideration. Theodosia made a remark about their “blood traitor cousins”, and Lucy realized that her twin could enter, too. “I doubt my sister will,” she said, trying to convince herself that Anna wouldn’t be her competition forever. None of the others stood a chance, though, as Raven Goyle, who was busy braiding her hair, was quick to point out. There was nobody better suited for the Triwizard Tournament than the Hexen girls, and it was a shame that Raven couldn’t enter to increase their chances. “It had better be one of you. Anyone but my brother.” Glancing over at the Gryffindor table to try and get a look at her sister, Lucy rolled her eyes. “At least you haven’t got my cousins,” she remarked. “No offense, Ondina.”Ondina Nell Weasley @theodosia @raven @vi

Viovinnia's chin had rested in her hand the entirety of the Headmaster's speech. Her mind had wandered back and forth between the useless words Longbottom had been spewing out and Dustin Bainbridge, the Quidditch player she was... sort of seeing. Though, she would never tell any of her fellow Hexen girls that. Vi had stayed disinterested until the announcement of the Tri-Wizard Tournamount had been made. After that, she sat more upright in her seat as she looked up at the front of the Great Hall at the professor. After that, Vi became disinterested again. Even the arrival of the other schools was held little to no importance for her.
The Nott was quiet as her fellow Hexens took turns speaking. Vi had found, she supposed the closest things you could call "friends," in the Hexens when she had transferred to the school last year. She had known Raven, of course, and Theodosia was her cousin (once removed,) so she had gotten in with the girls fairly quickly. It was her last year as a student, finally, along with Lucy and Ondina; the Weasley girls. Vi had been quite pleased to meet two Weasleys in Slytherin. When the other girls had all shared, Vi finally spoke up. "I'm sure my parents will want me to enter," she said, lazily picking up her fork for the feast. "But I can't see myself doing so, to be quite honest." She shrugged simply. Vi was a very competitive person, usually wanting to end up on top but a tournament such as this one just held no interest of hers. She looked at the only red head in the group. "I take it you are thinking about entering then, Lucy?" She inquired, raising an eyebrow. Unlike Ondina, Lucky hadn't outright said anything about not entering. And Vi found herself quite curious.

Ondina just shrugged at the comments from her friends, and rolled her eyes. She'd never enter. Not for the life of her. One, because she didn't want to 'perform' for other people. Two, it'd draw too much attention to herself and possibly Cassius. And Three, her asthma wouldn't permit it. Despite being terrifyingly good at transfiguration Ondina had always had poor health. She got sick far to easily, and to much 'excitement' could cause an asthma attack. No doubt she'd be getting a letter from her parents as soon as they heard about the tournament advising her not to enter.
"I bet most of our eligible cousins will be entering. Without a doubt Albus will want to follow in daddy's footsteps." She made a disgusted face as she thought about the chance of Albus being chosen. Out of all her cousins, the one she despised the most was him. He'd always seen past her ploys and fake smiles. That and he just drove her mad. Already the rumors she'd spread about him last year had died, all because Elaine had outed herself in a rather flamboyant fashion. "Raven, I don't know, maybe your brother being chosen would be a good thing. Mostly likely to end up dead in the first task." The bookworm would get himself killed, no doubt about it. "We'd be rid of him then." Her gaze wandered across the staff's table, before settling on Cassius and remaining there.

Theodosia sighed when Raven listed off all of the options for Triwizard Champion. Hogwarts really didn’t have a hope in the world, did they? If only they allowed underage participants, Theo thought glumly. Then maybe she could’ve been able to snag a little of the glory for herself. But no, they just had to make sure that nobody died or something stupid like that. Theodosia lifted her goblet in Ondina’s direction when the older girl said that maybe Gaius Goyle winning Champion would be a good thing. Actually, if anyone won Champion, it could be spun as a good thing, as long as they conveniently died. It would eliminate Hogwarts’s chances of winning the Tournament, but if the world would be down another Mudblood, who was Theodosia to complain?
“Can we talk about something else, please?” She sighed. They had already worn out that topic of conversation, and it was of even smaller interest to Theodosia since she couldn’t do anything other than sit and watch. Theo gestured towards the High Table, where two unfamiliar faces were present. “Heard that Scorpius Malfoy’s mum had her other baby. I hope she learned how to work off the baby weight the second time around. Her figure never recovered the first time.” Having a baby was something Theodosia would never have to worry about, given her preference for sexual partner, but she would do just about anything to poke fun at the soft-hearted, soft-bellied Head of Slytherin. She didn’t deserve to be called a Slytherin, that much was for sure. “And who’s the other one?” An Asian woman was sitting up at the table, and Theodosia was sure that she had never seen her before.

Raven jammed her tongue into her cheek, pondering Ondina's proposition. Maybe Gaius would die. She should probably feel some concern for the safety of her brother, but the competition between the two of them kept her from feeling any kind of kinship with him. She shrugged. Regardless of who was chosen, it wouldn't be her, and that was the part that frustrated her the most. She let her hair go and it flowed back into its usual set of soft waves. She stroked it thoughtfully. "If Potter gets it, I'm transferring schools," she said bitterly. "The last thing we need is another unworthy Potter winning the tournament." She rolled her eyes as Theo asked to change the subject, her gaze falling to her plate. She picked at the food before her but didn't eat anything. Instead, she grabbed her goblet and took a long sip of pumpkin juice. What she wouldn't do for a strong glass of champagne - in a flute, not these boring goblets. Hogwarts might have an extravagant selection of food, but it was the same as the meals hosted by the aristocracy. Frankly, Hogwarts was boring. Raven laughed as Theo insulted Professor Malfoy. The Malfoys in general were an embarrassment to purebloods worldwide. Why anyone would marry into them, after was beyond her. When Theo asked who the other professor was, Raven looked up at the High Table, her eyes scanning the adults up there. Her eyes landed on the Asian woman and she sneered. "Zhu," she said flatly. "I heard my brother talking about her. She's the new Charms professor or something."Turning her eyes back to the other Hexens, Raven leaned in, pushing her goblet aside. "So, do you think she has anything planned for the tournament? she asked. It was safer not to say names, but it was obvious who she was talking about. Elaine surely had something up her sleeve. The kidnappings had been fun, but she was ready for something bigger. @lucy @vi Ondina Nell Weasley@theodosia

Viovinnia said that she expected that her parents would want her to enter her name in. That made sense. Lucy’s face fell a bit when it began to seem as though she would be the only one of their friend group who would be trying her luck at becoming Hogwarts’s Champion. The word “Champion” tied to her name? It had an excellent ring to it, and they would all be sorry that they hadn’t given themselves the opportunity, too. “I take it you are thinking about entering then, Lucy?”
“I might enter,” she said in response to Vi’s question, not trying to be too obvious about her intentions. She didn’t want the other girls to look down on her for being so enthusiastic. “Better than Anna.”
Ondina theorized about who seemed most likely to enter. Albus was a no-brainer; he was a Potter and would probably want to emulate his dad’s success, not that he would ever match up to it. She guessed, too, that Gaius would be entering, and Lucy avoided a gasp when Ondina suggested that he would end up dead by the end of the First Task. They were all back to business as usual.
Lucy snickered at Theodosia’s comment about Professor Malfoy’s figure. She didn’t think that it had been so bad before she had gotten pregnant again, but she also doubted that her second pregnancy had been a planned one. Who had a teenage son—especially someone like Scorpius—and then decided to get pregnant again? That was what was really cruel. “At least she had enough sense to try again after the mistake that was Scorpius?” she giggled, looking from Theodosia to Ondina as she spoke. She knew Ondina’s track record with him.
“And who’s the other one?”
Theodosia’s question drew Lucy’s attention to an Asian woman who was sitting at the High Table, though it was Raven who provided an answer. “Zhu,” she stated, not sounding particularly thrilled about the professor. She must have been a professor, if she was at the High Table. “I heard my brother talking about her. She's the new Charms professor or something.”
Nodding, Lucy considered the woman’s appearance. She wasn’t too sure about her, either, but she hoped that she would be fair, at least.
Raven then leaned in, bringing up the one topic that they had all been dying to know. “So, do you think she has anything planned for the tournament?”
Lucy knew to whom Raven was referring, of course. If any of them didn’t, she thought, they were dumber than a Mountain Troll. “I don’t doubt it.” It was hard to know what Elaine was thinking, though Lucy hadn’t heard anything from her in some time. “He’s still in charge, though, isn’t he?” she questioned; she hadn’t heard anything to the contrary, not that Draven ever did much except run his nightclub. “And you know she won’t be back here…” Elaine wasn’t that stupid; she wouldn’t risk arrest, which meant that anything that she had planned would likely fall to them.
