Walton had seen all of the students down at dinner, who he had either asked or told to come to his office this evening. There were several of them and all of them were from different houses you had Elodie, James, and Ronan from Gryffindor. Then you had Alice and Maryn from Hufflepuff. And then there was Aurora and Sean from Ravenclaw. There was a reason as to why he had asked them or told them to all be there. It was quite simple he wanted to know if they were interested in learning advanced spells other types of magic. It would be imperative that they learn these spells since there were dark times upon them. Walton had also noticed that they were all very good friends and trusted one another. He had also paid attention to them as they had progressed in their magical abilities of the past several years that he had been teaching. So here he was in his office making it a little bit larger, or rather he had voiced out loud that he needed it bigger and apparently the castle agreed and made the room bigger for him.
Walton sat down behind his desk and put his feet up on it. All he really had to do was to wait for his students to arrive. He had already put up wards and protections, around his office and for good measure the classroom as well. He did not want the old man or anyone else for that matter finding out about this. And he even had asked one of his friends/co-workers to come and help teach these students advanced spells and magic. Walton had sent an invitation to her, to help him teach these extra lessons. And he knew that she was growing restless being a bartender at the hog’s head. He just hoped that the students would be willing and jump at the chance to learn more than what they were taught in school.

After dinner Sean headed back to the Ravenclaw Common room that was on the fifth floor before heading to Professor’s grey class for extra lesson, well to make up the one he had missed thanks to the Headmaster his unfortunate news. Looking around at his stuff in the dormitory he picked up a letter he had received earlier in the day, from someone named Myron Winterfield apparently the guy was high up in the Ministry, Sean had never really paid attention to the positions of the Ministry except for the Auror office and anything he could find out about the International Aurors, which was not easy. Without thinking he put the letter in his back pocket, he felt there was something about Professor Grey that he might be able to talk to him about the issue that had been presented to him. Despite not being his head of house, he respected the Professor like he was.
He made his way down the magical moving staircases to the first floor; he wondered what the Professor was going to have him to do tonight he learned that other students would be present as well but, even some who had been in the class the one that Sean missed. This isn’t normal lesson make up thought Sean reaching the first floor and turning the corner as he got off the stairs to make his way to the classroom. He walked into the classroom and looked around to see no other students had arrived yet, he was the first one he saw Professor Grey seated behind his desk and his feet up on the desk. He walked up to the front of the classroom and took a seat at desk in the front and center and grinned at the Professor. ”Evening Professor”said Sean and for a quick second he was about to speak again and bring up the letter he had gotten. Take the time now, no one else is here to look at you thought Sean but instead he didn’t, and closed his mouth and just waited for the Professor to respond. Another time..maybe he thought weakly as he looked on at the Professor.

Alice was tired, to say the least. She was not used to having to trek all the way back up to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom after dinner. Usually she just headed on down to the common room to retire for the evening, to play with her puff and cat, or read, or better yet: sleep. Alice found she was nearly walking like a zombie as she waited for a staircase to move to the right corridor to lead her to the correct classroom. Professor Walton had asked she and a few other students to return to his class for some extra work, and Alice wasn't sure how she felt about it. She knew she could have easily declined, seeing as it wasn't an actual class, but to be honest Alice wanted to go because she knew James would be there. That was what was getting her through the long trek up to the fourth floor.
Slowly, Alice walked down the corridor, her eyes half open as she did so. She rounded the corner and entered the Dark Arts room with a yawn. It was probably rude to enter yawning in such a fashion, but at this point, Alice hardly cared. It was disheartening to see that she was only the second to arrive, for that meant she would have to be waiting even longer for the others to arrive which meant longer to wait for bed. Feeling slightly aggravated now, Alice took a seat toward the back, but not exactly in the back row. There would only be a few students tonight, so Alice figured she would sit far enough from the front that it would make other students seem rude if they sat further back than Alice. She figured James would appreciate this as she hoped he and Elodie would show up soon.

Ronan had thought that is was kind of odd to be called to Professor Grey's office/classroom, after dinner. Well he had received an owl asking him to be there. He was curious as to why he needed to be there since he had done well in today's class. So after dinner he made his way up to the first floor, instead of going to the common room like he usually did after dinner. Well that is what everyone thought he and his friends did but most times they would end up sneaking off somewhere to plan a prank or to even pull a prank. But not tonight, for he knew that several of his classmates would be there as well. James, Alice, and Elodie. All of them had trouble in today's defense against the dark arts class and maybe he was being asked to come here to help them out in getting the spells correct.
Once he got to the defense against the dark arts classroom, he noticed that upon entering there were already a couple of people there. Once seeing this he could tell that there was something else to this meeting, or make up class. Sean and Alice were both there already. He choose to sit at a desk in between the two early arrivals. "Hey Sean what did you do to your hair? It looks great" He asked as he wandlessly charmed his fellow prankster's hair to turn different colors every few seconds. Normally he wouldn't use or show off his wandless abilities in front of teachers or even his friends and only a few of them knew he could preform wandless magic. But he knew that Professor Grey wouldn't mind one bit. Turning around in his seat he smiled at Alice and asked "Hey Alice are you feeling any better than you were earlier during class?" Ronan was curious and hoped that his friend was feeling better. He couldn't bear to see his friends being sad or upset, but no matter what he would do his best to help them out to the best of his abilities.

The day had started out late for Maryn, and it had started out kind of bad. Since she had a nightmare the night before and couldn't sleep. And because of that she had over slept and missed Defense Against the Dark Arts. It was one of her favorite classes, but she preferred transfiguration over anything else. Over the summer she had gotten to know Professor Grey quite well since he had gone out of his way to help Maryn and her sister out. So here she was heading up to the first floor to get to her make up lesson. Or at least that is what it was supposed to be. For he had said in his letter that she wouldn't be the only one there.
Once she had gotten to the classroom, she had decided to change her appearance earlier that day. She dropped it and let her features return to their normal or rather, natural state. Maryn walked into Professor Grey’s classroom, and she saw him sitting with his feet up on the desk. “Hi Professor.” She greeted him as she walked over to where the others were sitting. She had noticed them upon entering and Maryn was surprised to see Ronan there since he never had trouble with the class. But something seemed off with Professor Grey like he had a surprise for them or something of that nature. Maryn walked over and took a seat near the front but a couple of desks over from the others. It’s not that she didn’t like them, it was just the simple fact that she was sure there were going to be more people showing up. She turned towards the others and asked "Hey do you all know why we are here besides to make up the class we missed?" However she had a feeling that they would soon find out from Professor grey as to why they were really here.

you gotta get T H A T dirt off your shoulder Sam had been to the school before, but not enough to be familiar with it. However, she was lucky enough to have an extremely sharp memory, a skill which was useful to her as an auror, and knew the scaffold of the grounds of Hogwarts well enough to know where Walton had instructed her to meet him.
She was not late, but she wasn’t early. Right on time, as they would say. She walked into the room in bright red ornate robes, embroidered with gold – robes that would draw attention to her if she was out in Hogsmeade, hence why she only ever wore them when not needing to be subtle. She was only meant to be assisting in teaching a class today. It wasn’t an ‘undercover’ mission.
Samira noticed the students as she walked to stand beside Grey, but didn’t acknowledge them. As far as she was concerned, they were only children, and this school spoon fed them magic, rather than them actually having to try for themselves. And just as she suspected, the students were even messing around, changing each other’s hair colour and the like. She remained expressionless, arms folded, not saying a word to Walton nor the children.

James was not about to admit it, but he was a little reluctant about showing up to Professor Grey's classroom after his less than satisfactory performance in Defense Against the Dark Arts that afternoon. James had been able to produce a near perfect patronus last year, and the fact that he failed to this year was upsetting to him. Deep down he knew it had to do with his seeing the muggleborn girl on the train. He must have been unable to block that thought from his mind to think of anything truly happy enough to produce a patronus. So he had left the class frustrated, upset, and a little embarrassed.
Now he was back in the classroom after Professor Grey had requested his presence. He didn't really want to be but from what he understood, they were going to be learning "extra" things. As he looked around the room, he noticed that no one was in their usual spots. Alice and he usually sat at the back but Alice was seated more near the middle. Not even half of their regular class was there. So this must have been everyone, unless there were people more late than he was. And that was pretty late.
James made no effort to hide the fact that he didn't really want to be here as he went and sat down next to Alice. It didn't even occur to him that Aurora might still show. He leaned forward onto the desk in front of him, his elbows on the table as he looked up at Professor Grey. Some strange woman had joined him at the front of the class. James did not recognize her, but he immediately took note of how attractive she was. Older woman or not, James waited until he caught her surveying the room and met her eyes. He gave her a wink, refusing to look away until she continued to look at the rest of the students. James smirked to himself, satisfied.

Not only was Aurora transferred into an extra class, Defense Against the Dark Arts, but she was also written about joining another extra class. That, and then there was the clubs she was a part of and studying. Which was what Aurora was doing. The brunette took her dinner to go from a house elf and went to the solitude of her dorm. Nobody was in there thanks to dinner and it gave Aurora time to kick back and relax. Aurora sat on her bed and ate her dinner as she read yet another book on magical medicine. When that was finished with she finished out another attire and pulled off her uniform. Since coming back to school, she didn’t care for the uniform other than keeping it neat and on point. Once the moment was given, Aurora was out of it and in something else.
The brunette managed to pull her hair up into a messy bun and took off every piece of jewelry except the ring on her finger displaying the colors and mark of the House of Lestrange. She then pulled on a pair of black jeans, a white blouse that hung off her shoulders showing her neckline and slipped on a pair of black boots. Aurora then grabbed a back and stuck in a notebook, a few pencils and tucked her wand into her pony tail. Back home, when only her brother or nobody was around, this was Aurora’s preferred way to dress, minimal.
Aurora walked down the steps from her common room and a few more. Continually until she was at the door. She wasn’t exactly sure who was to show, but in the end, Aurora couldn’t care less. She was here for knowledge. She was in Hogwarts to learn, not to socialize. Aurora opened the door and walked in. Some people were already there and so was a woman Aurora thought she might know. Except, where would she have seen this woman. Aurora looked at the professor and then the woman. Hogs Head. Aurora finally tore her eyes away from the adults and looked at the students. Interesting turn out was deinfitly her thought.
Her blue eyes landed on James as he winked at the woman. Aurora definitely felt a sting of something. Jealousy maybe? The brunette made her facial expression blank and made her way to the far right away from the others. Aurora could not believe James’ flirtatious personality was ruffling her up so much. The girl dropped her bag on the ground. That was when she finally felt the air of the room. There was something incredibly different about it. Her blue eyes went up and then looked over the room. This class was not just an ordinary one, one appointed by their Headmaster. Aurora’s blue eyes looked over the adults once more. There was magic surrounding the room. Aurora continued to analysis the two as she waited for one of them to speak.

Walton watched his students enter one by one at various times. As each one came in he took the time to carefully look them over and too see what their facial expressions would show and give away. The first to enter the classroom was Sean, who apparently wanted to say something as he opened his mouth and then he closed it. Walton gave a slight nod in acknowledgement and made a mental note to talk to Sean later as Alice walked into the room looking almost as if she was a sleep. He could see the tiredness that was befalling Alice, but that wasn’t something that he would worry about too much. For what he had to say and teach his students would surely grab their attention. The next to enter was Ronan who was having fun by using wandless magic and turning Sean’s hair different colors. And then the boy asked Alice if she was feeling any better, after what had happened in class. If anything that boy was going to be one to hold his friends together and be someone that they could rely on. Ronan also had some leadership qualities in him that Walton could see in him and one of those was caring about each and every one of his friends and always was looking out for them.
Walton took his feet off of the table and sat up a bit straighter in his chair as Maryn came into the room. She was a very special and very gifted girl and witch. She was a strong willed person especially after what had happened this summer and then at the start of term with the whole situation about her mother basically abandoning Maryn and her sister. He gave her a small smile as she sat down kind of away from the others. Well that wasn’t going to matter at all once everyone got here. After that Samira walked in dressed in bright red robes with gold embroidery. He returned the nod that she sent him. It was quite amusing to Walton since she went ahead and had forgone her regular attire for something ornate. Granted they weren’t doing much out of the ordinary. She was a good friend and she just so happened to be a great with a wand.
And then came in the one boy who he hoped beyond hope would actually show up. James looked like he didn’t even want to be there but he also knew that this would be good for the boy. He smirked a little as James winked at Samira, now the boy was biting off more than he could chew. The kid had no idea what he was getting himself into. And the last to show up was Aurora. That girl never missed a thing. She was a hard worker and he knew that the girl was going to do very well in these extra lessons. He stood up quickly and as he did so he waved his hand and the door shut and many more wards were erected around the room. As well the empty desks disappeared and all the desks that were occupied moved up to the front of the room mixing up the students and moving them around so that they sat next to someone else. They were going to get to know each other well. The only person that was missing was Elodie whom he hoped would show up soon.
Walton was not his usual professor self, he was now acting in his capacity as an International Auror. There was a time for fun and games but now was not it. Looking at them all he quickly made eye contact with each one before addressing them. “Now you all have been called here for a specific reason. If you agree to what is proposed, which I think all of you will in light of recent events, then you will be learning several things. However know that if you do not agree we will remove the information about this from your mind. Also do not ever under any circumstances look Burt Reynolds in the eyes, not even for a split second for he is an accomplished legilimens. If you do not know what a legilimens is don’t be afraid to ask.” Walton paused and looked over at Samira before continuing. “Now my friend and colleague, Samira, is here to help me teach you how to fight and not like some regular wizards duel. No you will learn how one would fight in actual battle. And we will also be teaching you spells and more types of advanced magic that you can learn from no one else here at the school.” His tone was serious and he meant every word he had said. “Now do you agree to do this or not?” As he waited for an answer Walton turned to Samira, “Thanks for coming Sam. I see by the look in your eyes that your trigger finger is itching to be put to use. They will agree and if not well then you know what to do. And once they agree we will go ahead and give them a small demonstration.” He said as he stopped before he added in a teasing tone. “I hope that you are ready my friend.”

Ronan had stopped messing with Sean’s hair as more people began filing into the room. Maryn, James, and Aurora had all come in after Alice, and there was a new person there as well who’s name was apparently Samira. He had noticed that James tried to do hi whole flirting thing, but Ronan was sure that it would not work at all. He also took note of just how serious Professor Grey was being, and it was a complete flip from the fun teacher that he knew. No it was something completely different, and he was curious as to what Professor Grey had in mind for them during this time. The offer to learn more about fighting and using combat magic besides defensive magic, had piqued his interest. “Count me in Professor.”
Ronan was ready to learn, and he knew that there were things that he and his friends were about to learn that could not leave this room, especially any and all information shared with them. But he was eager to start, but he decided to be calm as excited as he was. And Ronan began to look around the room to see if any of his friends would not agree, but then yet again he had a feeling that no one would leave. They would become a tight knit group more so than they already were. He could also tell that this was part of the intention of this meeting.

For all of those that are in this Thread it is being moved to the dead thread section in the archives, since a couple of the people have disappeared from the site and no longer have characters. It will be revamped soon and will go even more in depth since you wont have one, you will have three IA members teaching you. And If you weren't in this thread before feel free to shoot me a pm if you want to be in it, and this is for 6th and 7th years only, and your characters will only be invited there if Walton wants you there.
