Rose watched the tomb along with Sean. They sat in silence for a moment. Rose was thinking about the man that lay in the tomb. She knew enough about him from her parents and her aunts and uncles. Rose never really had to read a book about Albus Dumbledore, but she certainly had. As they sat there, she could only imagine that Sean's mind was either on his grandpa or on Dumbledore.
When Sean finally spoke up, Rose was a little surprised by what he had said. He didn't strike her as the type to wish death upon a person, but she supposed he deserved to feel that way about his grandfather. She didn't move. She didn't want to react and show just how shocked he was that he had said it, so she kept looking at the tomb. Rose couldn't say she disagreed, come to think of it. She had done a good job hiding her reaction to his first comment, but the next words out of Sean's mouth made Rose quickly turn her head to face him. Her brow furrowed in what could only be slight worry and sympathy. She blinked, not knowing what exactly to say. Rose wasn't always like this in these types of situations, but she didn't know Sean that well. She didn't know what to say to him. So she went with instinct.
Slowly, Rose let her hand move from her lap to his, resting on his knee. She gripped it gently to hopefully comfort him. "He'll die in Azkaban." She said, looking at Sean's eyes with seriousness all in her facial expressions and voice. "They will never let a person like that out." She assured him. She didn't want to comment on his nightmares, for she felt that was a very personal thing to delve into and she didn't want to make him uncomfortable.
Rose let her hand remain on Sean's knee as he seemed to collect himself for a moment. She let him do so, quietly watching him with a very small and comforting smile. Her eyes met his once more when he turned to look at her, looking as if he had not gone into such a serious place just moments ago. "It's cool, I get that a lot," the Head Boy said, returning to his normal self. At this Rose scoffed, retracting her hand and folding her arms in front of her once more. However, she couldn't help but let the corners of her mouth curl up in a smile. "Way to ruin a moment, Owens," she said, playfully.
