today he was going to teach his students about gytrash. they roamed the grounds near the hut and in the forest and if the students ever came across them they'd need to know what to do. while their bites could be lethal it was easy to shoo them off or scare them away. he was going to have to hope that explaining was enough and he had a simulation worked out that would let the students practice casting while something was flying at them. not that gytrash flew but it was the best he could come up with. a simple light spell was enough to disperse the white ghost like dogs and he was confident that all his students could cast one, but casting it in a split second was going to be the challenge for them. especially if they didn't want to sustain a nasty bite.

Susan loved Care of Magical Creatures, and was intrigued on what the professor would be bringing to the table for their seventh and final year. This year they’d all sit their NEWT level examinations, and though she would be continuing onto the Ministry after graduation, it was still Susan’s desire to do well on her exam.
She made her way down to the Care of Magical Creatures area near the edge of the Forbidden Forest and stopped, curiously looking around. There didn’t seem to be any creatures that she could see; what could the professor be teaching them today? “Hello professor,” she called politely, and stood off to one side, wondering who would be next to arrive.

@karney <3 Ian woke up a bit late that morning, and he had his Care of Magical Creatures class. He skipped breakfast, figuring he'd stop by after. Not being able to have coffee gave him a headache, so he hoped this class would be enjoyable and as easy as possible. Ian pretty much just threw on his robes and began walking down to the forest, his books in hand. He wondered who else would be in his class, too.
As soon as he made it to the Grounds he began walking towards the Forbidden Forest. He only saw two people down there, one of which was their Professor, the other was a girl named Susan. Her brother was in his house, a year below him, but Ian hadn't ever really spoken to him. He was sure they'd get along, they just never had the chance to. He smiled at her gently and looked back over to the man in front of them. "Professor."

Andy didn't really have any strong opinions about this class. She didn't really have strong opinions of anything as of late, but this class was always in that portion of her brain. It was interesting, of course, and she cared about what she was learning but she wasn't particularly excited or unexcited. She mostly took it because a lot of creatures can assist in healing technique, and that's what she was going into now.
It was strange, the transition from wanting to be an auror to being a healer. She felt like, now, the healer route was more mature for her sake. She wanted to be an auror for more... vengeful reasons, really. With healing there was no vengeance involved. She didn't need any more of that in her life.
When she arrived she immediately moved to stand next to Susan, linking an arm through the Ravenclaws, and smiling at the Professor in greeting, but she didn't speak.

Lena had spent years working alongside her parents in their veterinary practice. The animals they treated were of the muggle variety, of course, but it was still interesting to watch her parents work. She had assisted with her first spaying when she was seven years old. At first, looking at the cat's innards grossed her out, but she soon grew accustomed to it, and, by the time she was eleven, shortly before she received her Hogwarts letter, she was performing minor surgeries on her own. Therefore, taking Care of Magical Creatures and learning about the beasts of the wizarding world thrilled her.
She made her way down to the hut with a spring in her step, looking forward to seeing whatever creature Professor Fitzpatrick had prepared for them. Her favorite so far had been the kneazle, mostly due to their resemblance to cats. She finally reached the hut and settled into a free patch of grass, watching the other students mill around while they all waited for the class to start.

Everyone knew that Lysander had one passion in life: magizoology. It was a part of him as much as his bones and his blood. He had been born to two magizoologists and had grown up travelling the world with them, seeing strange lands and even stranger animals. He had been born to be with animals. It made sense, then, that his favorite class was Care of Magical Creatures. He had no idea what they were learning that day, but Sander didn't care - he bounded down to the hut with about as much enthusiasm as an overgrown puppy. He almost tripped over his feet before screeching to a stop in front of Professor Fitzpatrick, smiling lopsidedly at the professor. "I'm ready!" He proclaimed happily. There was nothing that they could do that Lysander wouldn't be prepared for.

Care of Magical Creatures once again. Grey didn’t really know why he was still taking this class, but seeing magical animals and other assorted creatures was kind of interesting. It beat doing something like Arithmancy or Divination, neither of which would ever help him in his professional career. This class at least gave him knowledge on things he could run into out in the wild or would possibly have to deal with as an auror. Regardless, he was off to class and managed to get there just in time to see a small group forming already.
Letting out a small yawn, he looked around to see what they were learning about today. As far as he could tell, there was nothing there. Hopefully it wasn’t thestrals, he had never been able to see those things. There was something creepy about not being able to see a creature that was quite obviously right in front of you, yet not at the same time. A nice, fluffy creature that didn’t bite would be preferable to a skeletal horse thing that only people who had experienced tragedy could see. Knowing the class though, that was probably not going to happen.

Anna made her way to Care of Magical Creatures class on her own, her thoughts anywhere but focused on where she was going. She didn't know what to think of anymore. Classes, the tournament, the foreigners and the fact that she'd finally made up her mind and she wanted to be an auror. Preparing for that career was taking a lot more out of her than expected. Particularly when it came to potions. At least right now she didn't have to worry about it.
She liked Care of Magical Creatures. It wasn't necessarily her best subject, but it was always interesting and Anna enjoyed it. A group of people were already gathered together and Anna rushed to join them. She saw Grey standing in the group and went to stand beside him. "I didn't miss anything, did I?" she asked curiously. She hoped not. Normally the first few minutes of any class were the most important. They were the time when you found out what the professor wanted.
