The dungeons were all fine and dandy for classes, but they were a little too stuffy for Liam's tastes. For club meetings, he preferred being in the Great Hall, with its wide, arching ceilings and general air of positivity. For this particular meeting, Liam had gone all-out, appearance-wise. His hair was a bright cerulean color and his eyes were a humble shade of pale yellow. He wasn't nearly as stern about his club meetings as he was his classes, even inviting them to bring the visiting students to meeting. Unlike the his classes, the potions clubs was full of students who loved potions, not just those looking to ace the class. It was his favorite group of students, those who enjoyed his passion as much as he did. One of the dinner tables held a large gold cauldron - one of Liam's greatest treasures and one of the many prizes of his travels. Surrounding it were vials upon vials of various potion samples. The simple purpose of this meeting was to garner interest and determine what future meetings would look like. Meet-and-greets bored Liam, but they were good for morale. Liam waited, pacing back and forth along the Great Hall. [[As stated, this is a general interest meeting, open to anyone, including visiting students. Posting order is open, but if the thread goes stale, Liam will interject as needed to re-tag everyone and keep it going until it looks like it's coming to a close. Liam will end the thread. You do not have to tag the entire group, unless you want to.]] @jude @axel @jamie Irina Rose Krum @lucy @sophia

Most people assumed that all Jamie Greyback did was play Quidditch. It was a fair assumption, considering she was the captain of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team in addition the captain of the Flying Club, but anyone who knew Jamie knew that her passion for Potions equaled, or maybe even surpassed, her passion for Quidditch. It had started as a selfish passion, a young werewolf's way of believing that she could cure her condition, but as Jamie had grown older and less optimistic, she had traded her dreams of curing lycanthropy for the love of something beautiful and complex and challenging. She had considered asking to be the captain of the Potions Club, but it was probably better for her to be the one to wrangle the Flying Club, anyways - there were a fair amount of Hufflepuffs in the group, and Jamie already had the respect of most of them, she hoped.
Everything else aside, Jamie was excited for the first meeting of the Potions Club this year; she hadn't gotten to talk to Professor Hartridge much outside of class due to her other obligations, but she liked the Potions professor a lot. Whether or not the feeling was mutual hadn't crossed her mind, until Jamie found that she was the first person to arrive at the meeting, and she was alone with the professor. "Good afternoon, professor!" She chirped, trying to hide her sudden, inexplicable nerves. "I like your hair." There were two Metamorphmagus teachers at the school now, so seeing a pop of color at the High Table wasn't an uncommon sight, though Jamie was pretty sure that both Professor Hartridge and Professor Zhu preferred more conservative coloration while teaching, to keep from distracting from their lessons or whatnot.

Irina had been very excited to hear from Professor Hartridge about the first Potions Club meeting of the year. Her two favorite subjects at Hogwarts were History of Magic and Potions; two incredibly different courses but she didn't care. Potions had come fairly easy to her - she had even tutored several students who were having trouble in the classroom. One of those was Scorpius Malfoy, but she had been sworn to secrecy about that one. She'd also been named Captain of the Potions club which had come as a pleasant surprise to her.
Entering the Great Hall, Rina immediately saw the golden cauldron set up in the middle. Her eyes lit up; she'd seen gold cauldrons of course outside the Cauldron shop of Diagon Alley, but never in action. She was so taken in by the cauldron that she accidentally did a double-take when she saw the Professor standing by it. "Hello Professor Hartridge, cool hair," she said with a smile. She saw Jamie was there already; her smile widening she went to go stand by her friend. "How are you? I feel like we haven't had much time to talk since we returned," she asked her. Both girls led vigorous schedules, and Irina had a old new love interest in her life; unfortunately time sometimes felt like it was getting away from her.

To say he was excited when he heard about the first Potions Club meeting of the year was a definite understatement. Axel loved potions and everything that came with it. He loved the complication and the specificity along with the idea of mixing a bunch of ingredients together in a cauldron. Not many people felt the same way, which was why he loved Potions Club. There he could be enthusiastic about potions without getting glares from fellow students.
As he walked in, he noticed the golden cauldron and his professor's hair, "Nice hair, Professor," he commented with a grin as he moved closer to look at the cauldron. He saw Irina and Jamie, but they'd never been particularly close so he let the two girls have their space. Besides, they were already talking with one another. When he got closer, he noticed all the different vials of potions and he grinned as he got closer to look at them. He couldn't help himself.
