Anna didn't want to get up this morning. Like, she really didn't want to. It was Saturday and she had a ton to do, but she didn't want to. Honestly, she was debating whether or not she should toss it all out the window and just mess around today. All she'd have to do was find Lily and that would be an easy possibility. However, Anna wasn't good at sleeping in. Not at all. On normal days she woke up around 6am and started her day, so sleeping in for her was normally 7, maybe 8. Today it was 7:30, so one of her later mornings. She actually woke up a while before then, but she refused to get out of bed until 7:30. Finally, she couldn't stand just lying there anymore, so she got up and ready for the day and headed down to the Great Hall for breakfast.
Breakfast was the most important meal of the day for Anna. Actually, that was a lie. She liked all her meals and lots of snacks. The house elves down in the kitchen knew her well, along with all her favorite snacks. Still, she liked enjoying every meal and today she was in the mood for ... crepes. No real reason, but that's what she wanted. So she found a place on the Gryffindor table next to some crepes and sat down on her own. She didn't care though, some of her friends would probably join her sometime soon.

The worst part about being at Hogwarts was that Ozzy never knew where to sit to eat. All of the tables were technically open to the foreign students, and there were more than enough people willing to talk to him just because he was from Beauxbatons, but if he was honest, Oscar didn't want to talk to them. People normally got bored with talking to him after a few minutes, after they had gotten past the whole glamour of his foreignness and got down tot he slightly abrasive, definitely narcissistic, insides. Oscar was standing at the entrance to the Great Hall, desperately searching for someone whose face he recognized, even if he didn't know them, so he didn't have to eat breakfast and try to make English small talk. He was relieved to see a certain red-head at the Gryffindor table. From what he had heard, there were actually several Weasley red-heads at the Gryffindor table, but this was the one that he knew. The only Hogwarts student he knew, actually, so Anna's face was probably the one he had been scanning the hall for, without even knowing. He approached the table where she was sitting, gesturing towards the seat across from her. "Taken?" He asked simply.

Anna was entirely focused on her food. No one came to sit with her, it seemed like they were all still asleep. Oh well, she could enjoy food until people got up. She'd just snack. Then someone came up to her and asked if the seat was taken. Anna knew that voice. She looked up and smiled. "Go ahead," she told him simply. She could hardly believe he wanted to sit with her, but at least it meant that they'd gotten over their first meeting. If he hadn't forgiven her for offending him, there was no way he'd want to sit with her. "So what are you going to do today?" She asked, not wanting to sit there in silence.

Oscar smiled when Anna said that he could sit with her. He slid into the seat, and began examining the foods that were nearby. He grabbed a pancake from the center of the table – Oscar hadn’t had a pancake since he was young and his mothers had made them on Sunday mornings. It was a nice memory, Ozzy decided, as he heaped strawberries on top of the short stack. “I do not know yet.” Oscar responded quickly when Anna asked what he was going to do for the rest of the day. “Perhaps look around the castle, so I do not have to keep stopping people for directions.” He was going to be in the castle for a while yet, so getting to know it might be to his benefit. “But breakfast is good. Important meal, yes?” He asked. His English wasn’t as strong in the morning, Ozzy realized – his brain needed some time to warm up.

Anna laughed when he said he wanted to look around so he didn't have to keep asking for directions. She hadn't expected that and found it funny. Then again, she really got to know the castle her first year, so she understood the desire. "Well if you want I can help," she offered casually before taking a bite out of her crepe.
She grinned when he asked if breakfast was important. "I love breakfast! Actually, I mostly just love all food, but yeah, it's important," she confessed easily. She didn't know what it was, but she was in a great mood, a cheerful one and was saying things that she probably wouldn't tell him otherwise. You don't tell boys you like to eat, do you? Wait, or do you? She didn't know, so she decided to let it go and not worry about it. She wasn't really in a mood to worry today.

Oscar nodded slowly when Anna offered to be his tour guide for the castle. He began cutting his pancakes carefully, trying his best not to make the pieces too small or too uneven. “Do you think it is possible to see the entire castle in one day?” He asked lightly. It was a big place, and he was honestly curious – obviously, Anna had already had a long time to explore every crack and crevice of the place, but Oscar was working on a bit of an expedited schedule, and getting even a cursory knowledge of the entire thing would be good for him.
“I am surprised you are having crepe for breakfast.” Ozzy commented, gesturing with his knife to her plate. “I have always thought dessert crepes were best. Chocolate, especially.” He took a bite of his pancake, chewing thoughtfully for a moment before swallowing. “Food is good thing. I would be upset if you did not like it.” Oscar didn’t understand why girls were always so hesitant to share their eating habits with boys; if it made them look like slobs, of course, Ozzy wasn’t a fan, but Anna wasn’t a horrible mess, so as far as he was concerned, she could eat whatever she wanted.

Anna shrugged with a smile, "Possible, yes. But if you want to remember what I show you we might want to take a little more time," she answered honestly. It was a big castle and there was a lot to show him. She could give him a crash course if he wanted, but she didn't know if he'd be able to memorize it that fast.
Anna grinned, "Well, I thought about being healthy, then I just decided to enjoy it. So crepes!" Her mouth fell open when he mentioned chocolate crepes. Such a thing existed? How had she never heard of this before?! "What? I've only had fruit ones," she looked more closely at the plate in the middle of the table. She could have another crepe ... especially if she could find a chocolate one. "Everyone should like food," she commented, still inspecting the plate in front of her. Chocolate ....

Considering the entire point of taking a tour was so that he wouldn’t get lost, Oscar decided that perhaps his original plan of seeing the entire castle in a day was a bit too ambitious. “Two days?” He asked before popping a strawberry into his mouth. Oscar had decided there was no point in doing the homework for most of his classes, so he had a lot of free time that weekend. If Anna was amenable to the idea, they could spend the whole weekend together.
“Breakfast is not meant for healthiness.” Oscar declared. “It is meant to wake you up.” Sometimes the best way to wake up was a jolt of sugar, and Oscar was certainly not going to deny anyone that. His sugar – strawberries – was a bit more natural than chocolate, but he wasn’t going to judge. “As a rule, anything that can be eaten can be put into crepes.” There were crepes for every meal of the day, and even a few meals that didn’t exist at all. Ozzy wasn’t much of a chef, but he found himself pondering the idea of making a crepe or two, if he could find the kitchen. “I will drink to that.” Oscar agreed, pouring himself a glass of orange juice so he could raise his goblet into the air at Anna’s statement.

Anna thought for a moment, then nodded her head, "Yeah, we could probably do it in two days if you're up for it?" she made her answer a question, kind of liking the idea of spending more time with him, but not wanting him to feel pressured. Why was she agreeing to this though? By all accounts, it didn't make sense. She hated him a few weeks ago. She never wanted to see him again and she had absolutely no intention of speaking to him, but yet ... after their last meeting things went way better. They found some common ground with history and charms and now he decided to sit by her and she was agreeing to spend her weekend showing him around the castle. She never saw this coming.
Anna nodded at Oscar's comment about breakfast not needing to be healthy. As he continued, she looked up at him curiously, "Anything can be made into crepes? I thought they were just for breakfast and dessert?" Wasn't it? Obviously not, but she was interested to hear about the other flavors he knew of. She laughed when he poured himself a glass of orange juice and acted almost as if he was making a toast. At least he was in a good mood today. Maybe exploring the castle with him would be fun, if he could keep his good attitude about it.

Oscar nodded enthusiastically when Anna said that two days would be sufficient time to explore the entire castle. He was certain that they were going to get sidetracked somewhere, so it would probably take longer than just this weekend, but it was a good idea to have a general timeline for their excursion. Ozzy paused, once again dissecting his pancakes as neatly as he possibly could, eating while Anna talked. He took another sip of his orange juice before smiling mischievously at her. “You poor, poor English.” He said. “You have such narrow view of cuisine. Next you will be telling me that cheese is not good on everything.” Well, that was more of Oscar’s opinion on things than legitimate French cooking, but the point still stood that Anna was missing a lot if she was limiting herself to breakfast and dessert crepes. “Steak is good in crepes.” He informed her. “When you show me Hogwarts kitchen, we can make some.” Assuming that the kitchen allowed students to make things, of course. If not, Oscar could just put in a special request to the house elves; they all seemed eager to please. Ozzy was hoping that he would get to sample some traditional British food, but it seemed that the elves were trying to cater to their guests as much as possible.

Anna was glad when he agreed that two days would work. Well, he didn't actually say it, but he was nodding, so she took that as him agreeing. She watched him curiously when he started talking about the "poor, poor English." What was he talking about? Then she grinned at him, "Fine. If my view is narrow, I expect you to widen it for me. And I love cheese," she added as an after thought. She now had a chocolate crepe along with the strawberry one on her plate and suddenly had an idea. She wanted to mix the two flavors. Chocolate and strawberry went well together, right? She started cutting little bites out of her crepe so she could eat them together. Hopefully she wasn't grossing him out. "Steak, in crepes?" she repeated doubtfully. "That one you'll have to show me," she told him, even though he already said he would. It was ironic that they were planning to spend so much time with one another after their first meeting. They already had a history lesson sometime, they were going to spend the weekend exploring the castle, and now they were going to make crepes sometime. She was excited.

Anna grinned at him, and Oscar was tempted to grin back even wider; he had food in his teeth, though, so he settled for a small, closed lip smile. “I will gladly widen your view if it means I get to eat food.” Oscar told Anna, shoving another bite of pancake in his mouth to emphasize just how enthusiastic about this meal he was. She added that she loved cheese, and Oscar didn’t care about all of the food he probably had in his teeth – he smiled at her. “People who do not love cheese are either no milk eaters or have not been to France.” There were people who did not eat milk of any kind, either because of their beliefs or because of their digestive systems, so Oscar didn’t want to fault them, but anyone else who didn’t like fromage had obviously never been to his home country, where cheese of every kind was everywhere. His stomach grumbled, and Oscar wished that cheese was a common English breakfast item. He settled for his last bite of pancake instead. “Yes. Steak and herb butter and garlic in crepes.” Oscar said, getting hungry again just thinking about it. “My mothers liked spinach in their steak crepes, but I disagreed.” Why ruin a perfectly good meal with a vegetable? “I will make you the non-bad kind.” He promised.

Anna rolled her eyes, "You would," she told him as she looked back down to her plate. This was delicious. She definitely chose the right food to start off her day. When she looked back up again, Oscar was grinning at her. "Well I love cheese, and I haven't been to France," she told him, though he obviously already knew that. Then he described the steak crepe more and Anna stared at him a bit, her mouth watering slightly at his description. She laughed when Oscar said he didn't like spinach in his crepes and that he would make her a good one. "I'm so glad. That actually sounds really good," she told him, reaching forward to pour herself some milk before drinking it. She was about done with breakfast, but she didn't want to push him to leave if he wasn't done. Then again, it looked like his plate was empty. "Are you done?" Anna asked, excited at the opportunity to show him around the castle. She could wait if he was still hungry, but if he wasn't, she just wanted to get going.

“More food for you means more food for me!” Oscar protested when Anna rolled her eyes at him. “We both get more food, and we both like food, so everything is good!” It made sense! She did not need to tease him. At least he knew it was teasing, though, and not her being petty or annoying. When the Gryffindor girl said that she loved cheese and hadn’t been to France, Oscar smiled smugly at her. “That just means you have good taste.” Those lucky few who knew the importance of cheese without even tasting the best cheeses were the people Oscar wanted to be around. “Do not be surprised if I am not as good a chef as talker.” Oscar warned Anna. He didn’t want her getting her hopes too high when he was a passable chef, at best. Maybe he would need the elves to help him… “Yes, I am done.” Oscar confirmed, laying his fork and knife nearly beside his plate and taking one last gulp of orange juice. “Are we going now?” He asked. He hadn’t realized the tour would begin so soon.

Anna was finally done teasing him. At least for the moment. "That's true," she said with a smile. Then she grinned when he said she had good taste. "Of course I have good taste! Did you doubt it?" Apparently her not teasing him didn't last long. Oops. She wondered if he was going to get annoyed by that. Maybe them doing things together for the day wasn't a good idea. She wasn't sure. Still, if they were going to be friends, she was going to be herself. She wasn't one of those people that changed their personalities to suit those around him, so he'd just have to get used to that. Oscar said he might not be too good of a chef and Anna shrugged. "Well, I'm not much of a chef at all so I can't judge you on that. Don't worry." She did decently when it came to cooking, but she definitely wasn't the best. He put down his utensils and looked at her questioningly. Anna wasn't sure if he was implying that he wanted to go now or later. She was fine with either. "If you want to. I really don't have anything else to do, so I can start whenever you want," she answered openly. She had no idea whether he had other plans, so she didn't want to rush him into anything.
