Magdalena had been planning tonight for days. No doubt Nikolai knew she was up to something, but she'd refused to tell him anything. She'd just smirked and told him it was a secret. No matter what he did, and he could be extremely persuasive! It was rather impressive how she'd managed to keep her secret so well. But, it was finally time to let him in on the surprise. Well, it wasn't really a surprise. It was.... Well, it was a date.
In all their time 'dating' and moving in together, they'd never actually had a date. So, it was time to fix that. The sun had already set, and because the house was so far from town everything was cast in darkness, no lights expect for those from the house to penetrate the darkness. Well... Normally. Tonight, Magdalena had hung lanterns from the trees lining the path that led to the 'Music sanctuary', as she'd come to call it, casting the trail in a warm glow. She'd told Nikolai to meet her out there at 8pm sharp.
In the field that the building resided, she'd again, lined it with lanterns. All through the trees. It almost looked like star light. In the middle of the field, in front of the building was a large blanket, spread out over the grass, with a picnic basket on top.
While Magdalena waited for Nikolai's arrival, she was in the music sanctuary, leaving the french doors wide open so he'd know she was in there. She sat at the piano, playing. The sweet notes of the piano echoing through the room and out into the night outside. It was a cheerful and upbeat tone.

@magdalena <3 His confusion was showing. Magdalena was being weird. She's been weird for awhile now. Nikolai wasn't sure if she was hiding something or just having some mental breakdown, but he figured he'd wait it out and see. There was no harm in that, and he wanted to see what exactly she was doing.
All she told him was to meet her at the music sanctuary at 8 pm. Risen eyebrows were his only reaction as she had run off after that. It left him smiling as she left, and he figured he should probably look nice for this. So, after he showered and cleaned up, he threw on a tan button down shirt, and a pair of dark dress jeans and his dark brown dress boots. His hair was slicked back and parted as it naturally was, and he had cleaned up his beard a bit. Nikolai sprayed himself with cologne and walked down the stairs in his home, looking around. She wasn't in here. It was ten of eight, so he figured he'd go out to the sanctuary. He quickly fed the dog and shut the door, walking out into the cold air.
Nikolai slowly walked towards the pathway, and when he got there he saw the lights hanging up. Well, she definitely had a surprise for him, that was sure. He tilted his head, turning the corner to where the sanctuary was. He stopped in his tracks. There was a blanket with a picnic basket on top of it. Music flowed through his ears and he saw that there were more lights hanging around the building. This was a date. Nikolai wasn't that dumb to not realize. But when he did realize, he felt choked up. No one had ever done something this sweet for him. Ever. The tears filled his eyes, but he shut them away and then took a deep breath.
His feet brought him forward, closer to the sanctuary, closer to the music, closer to her. Niko slowly walked up the steps, and into the large room. His eyes immediately landed on her, playing the piano. Nikolai leaned up against the door, his hands in the front pockets of jeans. "Magdalena."

Hearing her name was what made her stop playing. She looked up from the keys, her eyes almost desperately searching for the owner of that familiar and perfect voice. When she spotted him, she smiled, almost radiating joy. She quickly stood up, crossing the room to him. Like him, she was nicer dressed then usual. She wore a black top with an intricate lace design over top, and a pair of deep red leggings, and black booties. "Hey." She greeted before finally reaching him, still smiling brightly. "You're early. " She noted, as she reached out and pulled his hands from his pockets and stepped closer. She leaned up to kiss him softly.
She pulled back after that short kiss, turning away from him and back to the piano. Her wand lay on top. She picked it up, and with a small flourish, activated the enchantment she'd placed on the piano earlier that day. It started to play on it's own. Setting her wand back down, she turned back to Nikolai.

@magdalena <3 "Hey." Nikolai smirked at her as she mentioned he was early. He looked up at the sky and then nodded his head. "Early is always best, Magdalena." Niko licked his lips slowly. He let her take his hands out of his pockets and he lifted a brow when she got closer to him. Their lips touched and he kissed her back, full of emotion. He couldn't believe that she did all of this for him. She pulled away and grabbed her wand. Nikolai watched her, curious. Ah...the piano. It continued to play.
His mind went back to a few days ago when she mentioned the floor. Nikolai let go of her hands and he bent down slightly, holding out his hand, the other hand around him back. "Dance with me, Olli?" Nikolai smirked at her, hoping she'd accept. The music was perfect, the lights were perfect, she...she was perfect.

Magdalena nodded as he said early was always best. "Better early then late." Even though she'd seen him only a few hours ago, it feel like it'd been too long. Like, a piece of her went missing every time they were apart, and she only ever felt whole when they were reunited, like right now.
The piano would play through all the songs she'd enchanted it too. It was part of the reason why it'd been such an elaborate planning process. She'd had to play countless songs, to avoid the piano repeating one to often. Her fingers slightly hurt from thinking about how much she'd played to get it right. And not only that, she'd had to pick out the absolute best songs for the occasion. She wanted tonight to be... well, the best date ever. Nothing could go wrong. The perfect date, on a perfect night, with the perfect guy.
His request made her smile brightly, her gaze never leaving him as he held out that hand. "Of course!" She took his hand immediately, tugging just enough to silently tell him to straighten. She stepped forward, correcting her grip on his hand, and taking his other to guide it to the small of her back, where she left it as she rested her own hand against the bicep of his arm.

@magdalena <3 It was true. Being early was always better than being late. Not that Nikolai intended to be late to this date. He literally was only a few feet away! That would've been incredibly sad and rude on his part. Regardless, he really just couldn't wait anymore just sitting in the house, wanting to see what was outside for him.
Magdalena grabbed his hand and straightened him up, to which his hand was now on the small of her back and hers on his bicep. His feet slowly led her as they danced to the song that was playing. "No one's ever done anything like this for me before, Magdalena."

Nikolai, much to her surprise, started leading immediately. He wasn't forceful, as he moved, but there was just enough pull on his end to make it clear to her where he was going so she could follow. Either he was just naturally good at leading, or he'd danced like this before. It was a slower song, but they matched the tempo perfectly as they danced across the hardwood floors of the room. She gazed up at him with so much emotion in her eyes that she was sure they'd just spill out, as if she couldn't contain them anymore. "Wait until the end of the night to say that, Nikolai. It's only just begun." She responded softly, her gaze never wavering.
They danced in almost silence for a few minutes, and the song finally came to an end. The piano fell silent for only a moment before starting the next song. In that short pause though, she leaned up to kiss him softly and lovingly. "You are a good dancer." She finally said, voicing her thoughts from earlier as they'd started to dance.

@magdalena <3 He was curious as to what she meant. Yes, it had only begun, but what else could she have planned? This was perfect as is, Nikolai didn't expect any more from her. "It has only begun, but so far, I'm stunned." Niko had never felt so overwhelmed by such happy emotions before. Emotions that made him want to cry.
Magi leaned up to kiss him and he stopped all movement so he could focus on kissing her back, on trying to put all of his emotions into this one kiss. Then the dancing continued and he smiled. "Thank you... You're not so bad yourself, Olli."

Magdalena smiled brightly. Nikolai was practically radiating joy. Any happier, and she was pretty sure he might start glowing. "If you're already stunned, what'll you be later tonight?" She teased softly, though her own happiness was showing through. She was just.... happy that she could make him happy.
"Well, I've been told I'm pretty good at dancing." She smugly retorted as the dancing continued. They danced for several more songs, the conversation light. Finally, after countless songs, Magdalena pulled away from Nikolai, taking both his hands in hers. "Come on, we can't dance all night, otherwise that picnic will go to waste." She had said there was more tonight. And she had already spread out the blanket outside.... She led him outside, leaving the doors open so they could still hear the piano play on it's on.

@magdalena <3 "I'm actually not too sure what I'll do... But I can tell you I'll probably be doing you." Nikolai smirked at Magdalena, wondering if that would embarrass her at all. Most likely not, but hey, a guy could try, right?
As the dancing continued, Nikolai couldn't stop looking at her. She was such a wonderful girlfriend, such a beautiful person, and he was so in love. Being away from her hurt, like he wasn't whole anymore, but together now, dancing, he couldn't imagine life any different. They went out to the blanket and he slipped off his boots to reveal black socks. He sat down on the blanket and crossed his legs. "What have you got for me, Magdalena?"

Magdalena's eyes widened just a touch at his bold response, before she grinned and quickly kissed him. "Don't get ahead of yourself...." She teased again. She definitely wasn't telling him no. If anything, she was saying that was part of the night's plans. Which, it was.
Kicking off her own shoes, she sat down on the other end of the blanket, closest to the basket. "Well, It's to late for anything heavy, and I know you already ate dinner-" She paused momentarily to flip the stop of the basket open and started to pull out the contents. An assortment of cakes and pastries, chocolates, pudding.... Basically, desserts. "But luckily for me, you happen to have a sweet tooth" She pulled out a bottle and two wine glasses last, and held them up. "Non alcoholic sparkling cider, I promise." She'd bee working on the drinking thing. And while she normally trusted herself when he was around, she didn't want him to have to make sure she didn't drink to much tonight. It was a date after all, and she wanted him completely care free.

@magdalena <3 Nikolai kissed her back, and then pulled her normal face and pouted at her. Not just because she pulled away from the kiss but also because she told him not to get ahead of himself. Of course, if she didn't want to...then they wouldn't. But, he couldn't tell what exactly she wanted to do at all.
Niko's eyes got wider and wider as Magdalena began pulling out...so. Many. Sweets. He gave her the biggest smile. Gosh, she was perfect! He didn't know where he wanted to start first...his eyes looked over all of them, a few of them he wanted to lick off her body but he'd save that fun part for later. Then Magi pulled out the cider and he laughed. "Well, thank you, Magdalena. This is...I don't even know the word for it."

Magdalena laughed as she saw his expression and reaction. Obviously she'd done well in packing the basket. As he looked over the contents, she pulled out a bottle opener and opened the bottle of sparkling cider. "I know the word for it. Several words actually." She filled one of the glasses, before holding it out for him to take, then filled her own. "The first is 'date'. Because we desperately need more of those." She grinned as she set the bottle in the basket. "The others words would be.... I love you." She paused again, taking a moment to just... look at him, to stare into the eyes of the man she was totally in love with. "And I do love you, Nikolai." She finally added softly. She wanted to spend the rest of her life with him.

@magdalena <3 Nikolai kept quiet as she spoke. Her words were comforting. "We definitely do need more dates. But our first one is perfect. And I know whatever else yoh still have planned will be great as well." He leaned forward and kissed her lips, loving the feeling. "I love you too, Magdalena. And I always will." Nikolai tilted his head at her. "What can I eat first?"

Magdalena smiled softly and leaned forward to kiss him back. "Perfect is a good word too." She wanted it to be perfect. She wanted to make sure he had the most amazing 'first' date with her. That smile grew, and her cheeks blushed a soft pink as he said he loved her and always would. Hearing his say it ,even though she knew it and felt the same way, made her heart feel warm and... well fuzzy. As cheesy as that sounded.
She raised her wine glass to her lips, and took a sip, before looking down at the assortment of sweets. "Any of it. But, I'd recommend the chocolate eclairs."
