She frowned when he said that not many people would know him. So? Just because they didn't know him didn't mean she shouldn't give him a name. Maybe a combination of the two would work. Oscar, the handsome Beauxbatons boy? That's probably what she would do, not that she needed to tell him that. The corner of her lips twitched, surely they would soon form a mischievous smile. At the moment, however, she kept her face straight as she teased him some more. "So all I need to say for them to know it's you is say the handsome Beauxbatons boy is taking me?" She wanted to smile so badly, but only raised her eyebrows imperiously, waiting for his response.
Anna laughed when he agreed to be a raven for her. "You make me happy." The truth slipped out before she really thought it through, so Anna rolled her eyes to downplay her words. Hopefully he wouldn't be able to tell how much she cared for him just from that phrase, even though it was a confession of sorts. She nodded, agreeing with him, "There is plenty for us to do there. If you get bored I can give you another tour," she said, acting overly excited in order to tease him again. Why was she always trying to tease him? Maybe trying wasn't the right word. Teasing just kind of happened when she was around him.
She sighed, "Yes, I know." She knew things were going to change all too soon. Probably with the first task. Until then, she was going to enjoy this last chance of being normal. Hopefully Oscar wouldn't get annoyed by all the reporters and fame-seekers if she did well. She didn't want to lose him at all. At least he was taking her to the Yule Ball. That meant that he had to spend some time with her, even if he did get tired of her being Champion.
"Madam Macmillan is amazing. She's been helping me prepare to talk to the reporters and so has my Uncle." Uncle Harry. Did Oscar know that she was related to Harry Potter? Probably not, and she didn't know why but she didn't really want to make a big deal out of it. "They both know a lot about this sort of thing," she finished simply. She was lucky to have both of them in her life, that they both wanted to help her so much.

Ozzy smiled winningly at Anna. “Yes, that is exactly it.” He told her when she said that all she had to say was the handsome Beauxbatons boy was talking to her. Anna blurted out that he made her happy, and while it was a little bit of non sequitur, Ozzy didn’t care. “You make me happy, too.” He replied easily. Anna was one of the only people who had bothered to see who he was even after he had been angry with her, and he appreciated that. It felt like no one was willing to look past the surface, that no one wanted to see anything other than a pretty boy. He nodded happily when Anna said that she could give him another tour – the first one had been fun.
The corners of Oscar’s lips turned down into a frown when Anna said that she knew that things were going to change, and that this was just the beginning. He hadn’t meant to make her sad. Without thinking, he grabbed her hand again, and squeezed it. “Not everything will change. I will still be here.” He promised. He was sure that the rest of her friends had said something similar, but it felt important, for some reason, that he throw his two cents into the pot, especially since he hadn’t known Anna for nearly as long as the rest of her friend had, and the likelihood that he would defect or that things would change was probably higher in her mind.
“Your uncle works for the paper?” Oscar asked, hazarding a guess. From what he had seen of Hogwarts, there were actually many Weasleys, and they all seemed to hold some sort of importance due to their family’s actions in the war that had been fought in England over twenty years ago, but other than that, Oscar didn’t know much about the family. It made sense to him that someone who worked as a reporter, or was otherwise affiliated with the paper, would know about how to talk to reporters without making any faux pas. “I do not think that I would be so good at getting help.” Oscar told Anna. Most of his personal relationships had been destroyed by death, and since the head of Beauxbatons wasn’t fond of him, he was sure that whatever advocate he had would carry that bias, too. Maybe it was for the better that Ozzy hadn’t been chosen; he wouldn’t know what to do, and he didn’t have many people that could guide him. Yes, it was easy to think of it like that. Anna had the people she needed, and maybe it was easier just to be one of the people who guided than the person who needed guiding.

Anna really just wanted to give him another hug, but she wasn't sure why. Well, she knew she liked him and that was part of the reason, but she also liked the feeling of his arms wrapped around her. But she didn't want to scare him off. She never had a guy like her before and she really didn't know if Oscar did, but there was no way she was going to do anything that might make him want to stop doing things with her. She gave a small smile. "I'm glad," she shrugged.
Anna's fingers tingled when he took hold of her hand again. It just felt so nice and natural! "Thank you, Oscar," she said, really meaning it. Sure, she had several friends that said they would be there for her and she believed them, but it meant a lot that Oscar said it. They'd only been friends for a short time and she didn't want to lose his friendship.
She made a face when he asked about her Uncle. She should probably tell him the truth. "Madam Macmillan did, I think. No, he doesn't work for the paper. My uncle is an auror, but ..." she hesitated, nervous even though she didn't know why. Oscar wasn't going to treat her differently after finding out she was related to Harry Potte, was he? She hoped not, but felt like she couldn't be sure. "But he's Harry Potter. So he's had a lot of experience with reporters, and with the tournament." Anna watched Oscar closely, to see how he reacted. She didn't realize that she was biting her lip nervously.
He said he wouldn't be good at getting help and Anna squeezed his hand gently. "I would have helped you, for what that's worth," she told him honestly.

When Anna thanked Oscar, an odd rush of butterflies swooped through his stomach. It wasn’t that big of a deal – he had done something nice and she had thanked him for it – but it felt oddly large to Oscar. “Anything for you, mamour.” He told her. There was that word again. Once again, Oscar was hopeful that Anna wouldn’t know its meaning; since Anna hadn’t reacted the first time, it seemed she didn’t, but the repetition made it more likely that she would notice the nickname, and maybe go digging…Oscar stopped that train of thought before it could get lost in something bad.
Oscar blinked once when Anna said that her uncle was Harry Potter. Huh. “That is nice.” He said, in absence of anything else occurring to him. Sure, Harry Potter was famous for saving the Wizarding world, but Oscar had to admit, that of all of the Weasleys (including the ones that had apparently married in), Anna was his favorite. She didn’t need Harry Potter to be special to him. “I am glad that he can help you with what you need to know.” Oscar added. Other than that, though, her uncle’s identity was about as much use to Oscar as the identity of anyone else.
“It is worth a lot.” Oscar promised her. Even if it never came to pass, it was nice to know that someone would have been on his side, though things probably would have been infinitely more complicated if they had both been Champions. The more times Oscar said that he was better off like this, the more he actually began to believe it. In a way, his grieving for his lost Championship was already over; it was enough for him just to watch Anna shine.

Anna cocked her head to the side curiously. What did he call her? "What does that mean?" she asked curiously. He used it before talking to her and she wondered if he'd tell her. It seemed like some sort of a nickname, but she had no idea what it could mean.
Oscar didn't really respond to Anna's revelation and she grinned at him. Well, he did seem a little more surprised, but it didn't seem like he cared that Harry Potter was her uncle and she was glad. "Me too. He said he's going to try and come up here to help me practice for interviews, which is what I'm most nervous about so ... I'm happy he can help." She squeezed his hand, more of a reflex reaction than anything else.
"I'm glad." She was. Anna didn't want Oscar to think that if he were champion, she wouldn't be there for him. Actually, it was amazing how much he was supporting her now and she wanted to make sure he knew that it wasn't just one sided. "So what are you doing today?" Anna asked curiously.

Oscar cleared his throat nervously when Anna asked him what mamour meant. He should have been more careful with his words. “It is a pet name.” He began. That was not a lie, yet, though Oscar was going to have to stretch the truth a little bit for the actual definition. “It is like…my dear, my darling...” My love. Oscar hoped that Anna wouldn’t fill in the gap, or ask for a more precise definition, because he wasn’t sure he could give one without embarrassing himself horribly.
“That is nice of him to do.” Oscar said when Anna said her uncle would be visiting Hogwarts to help her. “If you need any more help after, I am sure I can pretend to be an interviewer.” Then again, that was probably what everyone was offering to help with, and Oscar could do more than just ask Anna banal questions.
What was he going to do today? Oscar didn’t know. “Well, I already asked a beautiful girl to the Yule Ball. I think that is a good enough day by itself.” He could do some homework, he supposed, but Oscar was having a time focusing when he was so excited by the prospect of getting to go to the Yule Ball with Anna.

He was using a pet name for her? Anna liked that idea. Honestly, she didn't know if it really meant anything to Oscar. He could make up pet names or nicknames for all of his friends. That's what Niko did. Still, she wanted it to mean more. Ever since she realized that she liked him, she couldn't help but wonder what Oscar thought about her. Did he have any feelings for her or was he just trying to be a part of the tournament in the only way he could? She shook her head to push her thoughts to the side as she smiled at him, "oh, ok." Anna responded with a small smile.
"Yeah, I'm lucky to have him," Anna really was. What would she do without Uncle Harry's advice and thoughts? She'd be a lot more nervous than she was, that's for sure. "You'd probably make a good reporter," she said, tapping her pointer finger on her chin as she looked at him thoughtfully.
Anna froze. He called her beautiful. She couldn't stop a wide smile from covering her face. "Well I'm hungry. Want to go to the Great Hall and grab some food?" She asked, but it was more a gesture than anything. She started walking to the stairs, tugging on the hand that was still holding hers. He was coming with her, like it or not.

Anna seemed to buy Oscar’s lie, and he let out an internal sigh of relief. Now he wouldn’t have to tell her the truth, unless…No, Anna didn’t like him like that. She was just his friend, and she wouldn’t like someone as simple and unremarkable as Ozzy. He couldn’t do anything for her, and that was the only people fell in love…right? In any case, Oscar wasn’t going to let his heart get broken by Anna Weasley. Damn. Somehow, across the course of their conversation, Oscar had accepted that what he feeling really was love. It was so much easier when she was just his friend, and…well, best to stop thinking about that.
“Yes, let’s get food.” He agreed. Meals with Anna were fun, because she was always willing to eat something new, and in the process, get Oscar to try something new, too. The conversation was good, and the food was good, and life was good. Oscar allowed himself to be pulled away by Anna Weasley, a smile on his face.
