Anna grinned when he finally accepted her thanks. It really wasn't that big of a deal, but she felt like she'd been thanking him for the last few days and he finally said she was welcome. She shivered slightly when he kissed the top of her head. She liked how it felt when he kissed her there. Alright, when he kissed her at all, even though that would probably never happen again. She smiled to herself when he asked her what she said. "I said, I wish time would just stop," she told him, changing what she'd said a little, but not much. "I feel so comfortable right now," Anna added as her explanation. All too soon it would be time for her to go and she didn't want to.

Oscar nodded when she said that she wished time could just stop. People had been wishing for that since time had begun, yet no one had managed to make it happen. Probably because it just couldn’t happen. “I am comfortable, too.” He agreed with He couldn’t bear to tell her that their two minutes were almost up, especially since he knew she was going to be uncomfortable as soon as he let go. It was always uncomfortable to let go of someone, Oscar rationalized with himself. It wasn’t just him and her. He sighed, finally mustering the courage to tell her the sad truth. “Time is up.” He wasn’t going to move yet, though. He would let Anna begin the process of separation. Oscar knew it was selfish to make her do all the work, but he wasn’t sure how he could bear to disentangle them.

"At least it's not just me," Anna said with a light smile, though she wasn't really waiting for an answer to that. She just couldn't not say anything. But she was content when they drifted into a comfortable silence. Sitting here like this with him was perfect. It was all she wanted at the moment. "No," Anna moaned when he told her time was up. She knew that it was coming, that they had to leave soon but she still didn't want to. Still, she didn't want to annoy him and he probably had something he had to do before the task started. She squeezed his arm before releasing it and waiting for him to let her go now. This was pathetic. He was right beside her, but just by letting him go she felt cold and alone. She turned to him, "Can we do something after the task?" she asked. She knew she was prolonging the moment before he left, but she couldn't help it. And she wanted to make sure they did something together after the task. She was sure lots of people would want to talk on her (or no one, depending on the outcome), but she wanted him to know that she wanted to do something with him after it was all over.

Oscar felt a tug at his heartstrings when Anna moaned upon his announcement that their time was up. He knew that she wouldn’t like it, but that didn’t make anything easier. She asked about doing something after the task, and Oscar nodded. “Of course.” He replied with a nod. “I will find you after. Do not worry.” Oscar smiled at Anna once last time before standing up. “I will see you when it is over, then. Good luck, mamour.” One last hug, and then Oscar ripped himself away. He needed to find a good seat.

Anna felt an odd sort of relief when Oscar agreed to do something with her after the task. It wasn't like she expected him to say no, but Anna was feeling strangely insecure about everything to do with Oscar. They were friends and she wanted to be so much more, but she didn't know how to show him what she wanted. He told her not to worry and she almost asked what he was referring to, but stopped herself. He was trying to say goodbye, to leave. She couldn't just keep prolonging the experience! She had to let him leave, so she smiled and nodded, following his lead when he stood up. Then he was hugging her and Anna hugged him back, trying to memorize how calming it was to hug him. Maybe that memory would help her with the task, whatever it was. "Thanks Oscar; I'll see you," she answered softly when he pulled away. "Bye," she added before turning and walking away. She wasn't exactly sure where, but she knew that she needed to get ready for the task and figure out what she was supposed to be doing before it started.
