@fred <3 Elias was as healed as much as he possibly could be. His ankle still had a small brace on it, but thankfully the bone was now healed. He had a few scars here and there, but he survived. He got out of the maze, and that was all he was thankful for. That he had gotten out and that is what was important. The maze had done it's own thing to each of the Champions, but Elias was just glad it was over.
It was Hogsmeade weekend and he walked his way on over there by himself, not really wanting Maria to join him this once. He wanted to just have his own thoughts and to relax on his walk, as well as when he got there. Elias ordered a large hot chocolate, and walked into a wooded area. He was wearing jeans, boots, and a dark blue sweater with a black jacket. His curls were down, and he sipped the drink, smiling softly. As soon as he got to the spot he wanted to be in, he took out his wand and cast a spell, starting a small bonfire. Elias sat down, his back against a tree, and stared into the flames.

Fred hadn't gotten to see Elias after the first task. That made sense, given everything that the Durmstrang Champion had had to go through - Fred had almost screamed when he had seen the flesh-eating slugs attack Elias - but it didn't mean that Fred hadn't been disappointed not to see him. Some of the things Fred had written Elias had been a little bold, to say the least, and Fred wasn't sure what to make of any of it. When he had learned it was a Hogsmeade weekend, he had decided to wander around the village looking for the Durmstrang boy. It had taken Fred a couple of tries, but eventually she managed to get a semi-coherent set of directions from someone who had seen him buy cocoa. Fred looked at the cup in his own hand with a sigh. There went his idea of trying to woo Elias with hot chocolate. When he followed the directions given to him, Fred was surprised to see Elias sitting by a tree, facing a fire. "I didn't know they let pyromaniacs be Champions." He said lightly. "But if you're going to do it, do it right." Fred cracked a smile, and pointed his own wand at the flames, causing them to jump a foot or two. "There. Now we have a proper bonfire." Fred paused. "So...That maze looked rough." It opened a door for Elias if he wanted to talk, but if not, Fred was sure that they could come up with something else to discuss.

@fred <3 A voice brought him out of his thoughts. It was a familiar voice, but it was one he had only heard once before. His eyebrows went up and he turned his head slightly to look at Fred Weasley. He commented on the fire and he laughed quietly, looking back at it. "Well I wouldn't say pyromaniac, I don't set things on fire, I just like bonfires." Elias smiled gently. Shockingly enough, Fred pointed his own wand at the fire and caused it to grow a bit larger. Elias didn't mind, he just hadn't wanted to cause too much attention to himself, but now that he had company it most likely wouldn't look so unusual. Fred's next words caused Elias to look from the fire directly to Fred. He nodded his head slowly, biting his lower lip. "Yeah...it was rough. Not what I was expecting, but I don't think any of us were really expecting anything, just trying to get out of there as fast as we could, you know?"

Elias laughed at his comment about pyromania, and Fred smiled at the Durmstrang boy when he insisted that he only liked bonfires. “To make a bonfire you have to set something on fire.” Fred pointed out. “Unless there’s something I’m missing.” Magic could help summon fire out of nowhere, but most magical fires had to be sustained by fuel, just like every other normal fire. Elias looked a little surprised at the fact that Fred made the fire bigger, and he smirked at the other boy. He would have kept going, but Fred didn’t want to risk accidentally singing off his own eyebrows. He needed those. When Elias was looking at him, Fred was looking at the fire. He didn’t want to look at Elias and accidentally admit that Anna was having nightmares about the maze. What his cousin had told him had been private, and he didn’t think she’d appreciate him sharing secrets like that with the competition. “I’m glad that you’re okay.” Mostly okay would probably be a more accurate word choice, but Fred was going to settle for just okay.

@fred <3 Elias knew Fred had a point, so he didn't comment further on it. He obviously wasn't a pyromaniac, and he knew Fred was just joking about it. But he also didn't want something like that getting out about him, so he was glad that no one was around to hear Fred say that. At least, he hoped not. "You can sit down, if you'd like." Elias gestured either next to him or to a different tree, but he wasn't going to force him. Fred might just feel more comfortable standing, and that was no issue. Elias took a sip of his hot chocolate, and as soon as he had looked at Fred, Fred had looked into the fire. Well, that was a bit unusual, but he continued talking. "Thank you...I'm glad I'm okay too. Parts of it were...really scary." Especially seeing his father. While it wasn't his father, just a boggart, it was a part of him he hadn't wanted a thousand people to see.

Elias offered for Fred to sit down, and he did perhaps the stupidest thing he could have done – just sat directly where he was standing. Fred had to scoot back to keep from being too close to the fire’s warmth. Fred took a sip of his own drink, glancing at Elias as he did so. Fred nodded slowly when Elias said that parts of the maze were scary. If it was Fred, he probably would have given up before he even started – the whole irrational fear of dying young thing. “Did they tell you anything about what the next one’s going to be like?” When his uncle had been in the Tournament, they had gotten a clue to what the second task was at the end of the first task. He doubted that Elias would say anything even if he did have a clue, but Fred figured he might as well ask about it. “Or…do you want to talk about something other than the Tournament?” Fred didn’t just want to be another person in a long line of interviewers.

@fred <3 Elias grinned at Fred as he just sat down where he was. He didn't say anything, but it amused him nonetheless. Fred eventually scooted back away from the fire more, for which Elias was thankful. Fire's did get pretty hot when you got too close, even if it felt great at the same time. Elias loved Autumn, not just for the beautiful scenery and weather, but just for fires in general...and smores. Elias took another long sip of his hot chocolate and shook his head, staring into the flames. He saw the slugs, and his father. "No, I don't know anything unfortunately." His eyes went back to Fred, smiling gently. "It's alright, Fred, honest. I'll be talking about it for the rest of my life, no need to stop now."

Fred shrugged when Elias said that he didn’t know anything. That was to be expected, but he had to satiate his curiosity. Elias smiled when Fred asked if he wanted to talk about something other than the Tournament, but the Durmstrang boy didn’t seem to mind. Still, it bothered Fred, like an itch in a place he couldn’t scratch. “If you have the rest of your life to talk about it, why not talk about something else now?” Fred asked, forcing a broad smile onto his face. “C’mon, there must’ve been something else interesting that happened to you.” There was always something or other going on at Hogwarts, and even when they tried their best, most people couldn’t avoid getting tangled in it. “Got any girls coming after you now that you’re famous?” Fred couldn’t help but ask.

@fred <3 Elias squinted his eyes at the fire slightly, thinking about what Fred said. He supposed that was true, but it was a glass half empty glass half full type of thing. You either do one or the other, and it will affect you in whichever you choose. Elias, was not picky, and he did not care which one he chose. Speak of the tournament, or speak of something else. Either way, both would happen. As he began taking a sip of his chocolate milk, Fred then went on to ask about girls. Elias chuckled. Girls. He nodded his head, still laughing and thinking of Margaux. "A few girls have, yeah. But only one has really stuck with me, in all honesty."

Girls had been the right thing to mention to get Elias to talk about something other than the Tournament, and Fred didn’t know why that hurt so much. He had asked, so he ought to have been prepared to the answer. “How many is a few?” Fred asked teasingly. A few could mean different things depending on who you asked, and Fred was curious as to which aspect of “few” Elias subscribed to. “And who’s the one that stuck?” Fred knew he shouldn’t have kept asking, especially since he wasn’t interested in what Elias had to say, but morbid curiosity kept the questions sprouting up in his mind. He was going to make a comment about how the only girl in his life was his sister, but that sounded horribly lame, so Fred just kept quiet.

@fred <3 Fred seemed interested enough, and Elias wasn't sure why. But who was he to keep a secret? This is the type of stuff you're supposed to boast about, yes? Being well known and having girls all over you? Elias chuckled and shrugged at the same time, sipping his hot chocolate. "Well, really only maybe three or four, not tons of girls though. They're mostly going for the Beauxbatons Champion, Emile. Apparently he's extremely attractive." He was. But Elias wasn't going to share that out loud. His sexuality wasn't something he had shared with anyone, not even Maria. And as of right now, it was still his own secret. Fred then questioned about the one that stuck and Elias grinned. "Her names Margaux."

Elias said that he only had three or four girls, and Fred had to resist the urge to gag. Three or four anything seemed to be a bit much to him. He knew that some of his friends were more loose with their sexual preferences, but being closeted had made it so Fred never really fooled around with anyone, not that girls hadn’t tried. Elias said that the girls mostly went for the Beauxbatons Champion, and Fred quirked an eyebrow. Well, it was better than anyone trying to take advantage of his cousin, but in Fred’s opinion, the other male Champion wasn’t much of a looker. “Margaux.” Fred repeated, saying the name in an obnoxious French accent. “Beauxbatons, then.” He would have remembered a name like that at Hogwarts, and if Elias hadn’t met her before now, she couldn’t be Durmstrang.

@fred <3 He saw Fred's eyebrows raise and Elias shrugged. "Apparently he's quite attractive." In his own opinion, yeah, Emile was cute, but his attitude made him ugly. He was bratty, spoiled, stubborn, cocky, and annoying and it didn't make Elias want anything to do with him in any way, other than beating him in this tournament. As soon as Elias mentioned Margaux, his eyes widened slightly at the way Fred said her name, and it made him laugh. He had a big grin on his face at his reaction. It was an unusual name, not one heard very frequently. "Yes, Beauxbatons. She's actually quite fun."

“To each his own.” Fred said when Elias said that Émile was “quite attractive”. “I prefer my partners a little more…real-looking.” Sure, Émile looked like he was sculpted from marble, but Fred would have someone warm and breathing and loving, not someone cold and stony. At least Elias laughed at Fred’s ridiculous French accent and the equally ridiculous way he pronounced the name. “Fun.” Fred repeated, rolling his eyes. “Listen, I’m related to some French girls, and let me tell you, the last thing they want to be called is fun.” They were strong women, one being the Minister of Magic herself, and being reduced to something like ‘fun’ was probably not what they’d like to hear. Strong, maybe, or dangerous, but not fun. “I guess if that’s Margaux’s style, she can be herself, but.” Fred shrugged, not finishing his sentence. Maybe he just preferred people to be people, not playthings.

@fred <3 "Real looking? What do you mean?" Real looking could mean anything to anyone, as that quote goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and many people have different ideas on what is attractive and what is not. Elias was not very picky, and he found many people attractive, but he most likely would never act on those feelings. Fred rolled his eyes and Elias chuckled. "I don't think Margaux would mind. She's not very concerned with how other people feel about her." She was definitely very outgoing and very sexual, and Elias was sure she'd find it as a compliment if he called her fun. "But...? She's a nice girl, Fred. Quite funny and gentle, if I do say so."
