Louisa wasn't planning on being in Hogsmeade long. Yes, it was during one of the Hogwarts visits, and that meant Daniel would be there. She always loved visiting with him. But, no. Today she as just stopping by to give him a package from their parents. For some reason they thought i'd be easier for her to get it to him then have an owl. Really though, she knew her parents used it as a way to give her an excuse to see him. Rehearsals kept her pretty busy, and she sometimes needed the reminder to get up and do something. She could get totally absorbed into her music, that she forgot about some of the most basic necessities. Louisa sat on a bench as she waited for her brother, the large brown paper wrapped package next to her as she waited for Daniel.
When she spotted him she stood up, smiling. "Hey. How is everything?" She greeted in her usual whispery voice. "Won't keep you long, I know Irina must be waiting." She turned, picking up the package and holding it out for him to take. He'd just taken it when she spotted something that made her heart stop. Or rather, someone.
A moment passed, and her heart started to beat again, frantic, loud, almost painfully so, and her eyes were wide. The shock, the intense shock she was feeling... It wouldn't be pleasant to Daniel. Louisa was normally so calm and unstirring that most people thought she didn't actually feel any emotions intensely. But Daniel knew better. He knew that her emotions were like an ocean. Calm.... until a storm hit. And then you realized just how intense her emotions actually were...

Dan was excited to see his sister, of course! He was always happy to meet Louisa. They were to meet for a moment at the Broomsticks in order for her to give him a package from their parents. Knowing their father, it was probably an aggressive amount of 80's music records and the occasional Beatles, which made no sense to Dan. 80's was great but the Beatles? Come on.
He entered the pub and saw her, grinning as he crossed the distance between them. She held out the package and he caught it with his own hands, "no rush, Lou. Stay as long as you-" he stopped, his eyes slowly widening. There it was, that feeling he hadn't felt in years. Louisas emotions were rising and he knew what that meant. That meant it was time to run like hell.
"Uh... Lou? You... Okay?" he barely got the second word out before he was pulling the package from her hands and taking several steps back, eyes still on her. Whatever it was it would have to wait, because there was no way he could stick around for this. He knew what was coming. "Okay, uh, love you. Write me. Talk later, you. K, bye," then he was gone, but not before letting his eyes search for what she was freaking out about. He saw a man that seemed to be her target and, well, the guy didn't look too scary. Louisa could handle herself.
Dan just couldn't handle Louisa.

Freddie had just had lunch with a few of his kids who were attending Hogwarts and had just said goodbye to them. Hogsmeade trips were always a great time for him to come and see how everyone was doing. He turned back to the room in order to grab his bag and slung it over his shoulder, looking up casually. That's when his eyes found her. He caught his breath, a sudden roaring bursting through his ears. She was talking to a guy, a student by the looks of it, someone that Freddie didn't recognize. He smiled softly as he saw how gentle she was with the boy. That is, until her eyes found him. Even he could tell that all hell was about to break loose and he froze, his eyes not even following the boy has he left the building.
He took a step forward, suddenly being able to breath again. How long had it been? Two years? Three? He'd lost count. It was all so long ago, back when he was seeing the world and having fun before coming back to the Orphanage. Having fun, in this case, meant a really drunken night and an accidental marriage in Germany. It was Germany... right? Either way, they had never bothered to get that taken care of which meant... that he was walking toward his wife right now.
"Louisa," he said softly upon reaching her, his smile growing by the second. He prayed to the Gods that he had said the right name but, Louisa Hoh wasn't a name one easily forgot. "Long time no see, love!" he added with a small amused chuckle.
It really was quite amusing, wasn't it?

Louisa didn't mean to scare Daniel, she really didn't. She tried to control her emotions, to swallow them back down and not make him leave. Alas, she didn't manage it, and her brother was already beginning to make a steady retreat. "I'm sorry... I'll explain later, Dan." She mustered as a response, her voice still as soft as ever but there was a slight shaking to it, an unsteadiness. Just like that, her brother scurried off, disappearing out the door and into the chilly day to enjoy the rest of the village visit. Leaving Louisa to deal with... him.
Frederick.
Their gaze met across the room. Louisa remained rooted to the spot, while Frederick slowly made his way towards her, closing the distance between them. He looked just like she remembered him, as if it were only yesterday when they last saw each other. It'd been... two, three years? As he got closer, that night's events came rushing back to her.... As well as one vital piece of information that had escaped her until that very moment. When she realized it, her eyes widened. Oh dear god... They were still married.
"Frederick." She softly responded, saying his own name in answer to his saying hers. Well, at least they still remembered each other. His brilliant smile almost got her to smile back. That is, until he chuckled and she heard that amusement in his voice. She let out a slow breath. Act civilly, act calmly. That's what she kept telling herself. "I didn't know you'd returned to England." She managed to retort as she clasped her hands behind her back, to hide the slightest of trembling. Thankfully her voice didn't give away the unease she was feeling. How would you feel if you ran into your husband after so long, and only realize at that moment that you were still married!? "You... look well."

Her eyes widened, and Freddie knew that she had figured it out. Freddie hadn't forgotten... he'd just been careless. She said his name, and he felt himself smile wider. Her voice was so soft, something that he remembered about her. She wasn't smiling, though, which worried him. She was probably pretty angry with him, actually... and rightly so. It should have been his responsibility to get this all taken care of.
She breathed slowly, and his smile melted away, just a little. He nodded at her words about him being back in England, and then adding that he looked well. "You look beautiful," he said before speaking. If there was one thing Freddie wasn't, it was careful with his words. He always said what he was thinking. He showed no sign of apology, though. "Can I buy you a drink, Louisa?"

How in the world had she managed to forget about the marriage? Had it been the alcohol from that night? No, she hadn't drank that much. Enough to definitely not be sober, but not enough to forget that night. She wouldn't want to forget it though. Despite the fact that she'd ended up married at the end of it, it'd still been the most... well to be honest the most exciting nights she'd had her entire life. Louisa never did things that reckless. Never went to parties. Never got drunk. Never flirted with complete strangers. And certainly didn't end up accidentally marrying them!
No, she just hadn't had time to dwell on it. That'd been before her career took off, when she was in intense training with her mentor and was only just beginning to make a name for herself. She'd been too preoccupied to consider the night's events.
Louisa's initial shock was, thankfully, starting to wear off. Now she was just.... nervous. Extremely, terrifyingly nervous. As if her heart was going to beat straight out of her chest. Why did Frederick make her nervous? More nervous then playing in front of thousands of people. More nervous then her brother being at Hogwarts for the Triwizard tournament and all the events of last year. How was that even possible? Thank goodness her expression didn't give away her inner turmoil. Only her brother would ever hear the raging emotional storm inside her and he had already run off. His compliment was finally enough to make her smile just a touch, despite her intense nervousness. "Thank you." And then... he was asking if he could buy her a drink. It was almost like that night, all over again. Her eyes widened just a touch, almost unnoticeable. "Yes, of course." She answered without thinking, the words just coming out before her nerves could get the best of her. "What brings you to Hogsmeade..?" She asked after a moment. They obviously hadn't stayed in contacted during the years since that night. Heck, they'd known very little about each other aside from a few key traits and their names.

Freddie was aware that he could drool charm if he tried, and often even if he didn't try. He was just happy that she was here, that she was someone he wanted to talk to and make smile... they both weren't smiling that much right now, though, which was disheartening. He needed to turn the tables around, make her feel better. He wasn't sure how to do that exactly, but he'd just follow his feet. That's what he always did.
Erh, that's how they got married in the first place.
Finally, she smiled a tiny bit when he complimented her. That was a good start. She thanked him and he held her gaze. Her eyes changed a little as he offered her a drink, but he didn't take it back. She said yes, and he felt like his heart warmed by several dozen degrees. Maybe they would be able to talk this out after all. She then asked what brought him here and he smiled, gesturing toward the bar and gently reaching out his other hand to touch her arm lightly to guide her that way. "I had lunch with a few of my kids," he explained, and then realized that she may have no idea what he meant. Had he told her about... no, of course not. He wasn't working at the Orphanage when they met! He took his hand away from her as he cleared his throat, "sorry, they're not mine. I run an Orphanage. They live there when they're not at school," he explained.
They reached the bar and he gestured a stool and offered his hand to help her onto it. It felt... comforting, to touch her, and also incredibly nerve wracking. He felt like he was walking on needles.

Louisa had forgotten how.... well, charming Frederick was. From the way he moved and handled himself to his words. There was just a charm to him. It had been one of he first things she'd noticed about him when they met. He handled himself like a gentleman, She followed him to the bar, never breaking eye contact for more then a few moments. She'd also forgotten just how much she liked his eyes, and the kind spirit behind him.
It made her even more nervous, and felt completely and totally unworthy of his attention. They'd just reached the bar when he answered her question. Her eyes widened just a touch, enough to be recognizable surprise thought it didn't last long, "Your kids?' She found herself repeating, as if unable to believe it. He had children? Old enough to be meeting here? Thankfully he went on to explain. "Oh, I see." She breathed softly in response, that mild surprise passing. "That must keep you busy, you enjoy it though?" She politely spoke, silently hoping her heart would stop racing soon. At least he couldn't read her emotions like Daniel, otherwise he'd be fully aware of just how nervous she felt. Delicately she accepted his offered hand, shyly smiling, and sat down in the stool.

Freddie knew he was right to clarify, for he could see how concerned she was for that brief moment that she thought he meant he was the father to these children. She responded calmly after he explained, though, but her relief was obvious to him. At least, he would have felt relieved if the roles were switched. "It does keep me busy, yes," he confirmed, "I do enjoy it. I love it."
She accepted his hand, and that touch sent a warmth that spread through him. He released her hand, though, once she was safely on the stool. He took the stool besides hers and turned to the bartender, "one butterbeer for me please, and for you, Louisa?" he turned back to her, his dashing grin right in place.

Louisa had almost forgotten what any of this felt like. What it felt like to actually be interested enough in someone to make her nervous. That night in Germany hadn't happened just because of the alcohol. There had to be at least some mutual interest in each other and attraction to begin with. Even now, years later and not a lick of alcoholic in her system Louisa could still feel it. You'd have thought she'd outgrown it by now. "It's best to do something you love. It must be rewarding, being able to work with children and make a difference in their lives." Doing what she loved was what had driven her not to take a career in the magical world after all. A choice she never regretted.
Louisa almost didn't hear his question, asking what she'd like to drink because he'd flashed that grin. He was so... vibrant. It was both fascinating and confusing. Thankfully she realized quickly what he'd asked and looked away from him and to the bartender. "The same." she quietly ordered.

Freddie couldn't help his smile growing as she spoke about how it must have been rewarding, doing his job. "It is! It's amazing to see the difference in their lives compared to my years as a child at the orphanage. I was only there for two years," wow, he realized she didn't even know he was an orphan, "before I was adopted, but it was not the brightest place then, right after the war. Either way, I really think I'm where I'm meant to be," he confessed. He wanted to tell her everything, every detail about himself, but she wasn't sure how much time they had, or what she was thinking of him.
She ordered the same drink he did and turned toward the bartender, giving him a moment to freak out inwardly, maybe a little outwardly before addressing her again, "What do you do, Louisa?" he found himself asking, softer than he meant to.

Louisa didn't even realize her mouth had gaped open ever so slightly as he spoke. About things being better now then when he was a child. About being an orphan himself and being adopted. Louisa, obviously didn't know any of this. In fact... she knew little to nothing about this man. Getting to know each other hadn't exactly been on the agenda that night. And if it had, she couldn't remember it, probably from the alcohol. She managed to wipe that ever so slight look of shock from her face and replaced it with a soft smile. "They must really appreciate having someone around that knows how they feel." was her thoughtful comment. "I'm glad you found something you enjoy." she finished. Back when they met he'd been traveling, she knew that. It was... well nice to see that he'd settled down.
Louisa looked back at Frederick just in time for him to ask her what she did. Slowly she smiled, brighter then any of her smiles before. With the tiniest about of joy behind it. Well, tiny by most people's standards. It was huge for Louisa. "Why don't you take a guess?" she didn't know where that came from, but she wouldn't take it back. She was honestly curious what he thought she might do for a living.

He noticed her mouth gaping slightly, and that made him smile a little more. He nodded as she spoke again, "I think they do, yes. I have some friends from the good ol' days who come around and visit every once in a while. The kids love them," he explained. "And yes, thank you. I always knew I'd come back," he added.
Then that smile came at his question, and he felt like he stopped breathing for a moment. Wait... she wanted him to guess? That was intruiging. "Hmm... I don't think that you professionally go to parties in Germany," he joked, hoping it wasn't too bold. "Uh... are you a Healer? You seem soft spoken, gentle. Those are good things for healers," he guessed, while complimenting her at the same time.

Louisa couldn't imagine what it could be like to be adopted. To her spent time in a orphanage. She should consider herself lucky to have her parents and brother. Those poor children... but at least they had someone like Frederick. She may not know him well... or at all, but she could tell that he had a good heart. "It sounds like you are doing a wonderful job."
The laughter appeared in her eyes and smile as he mentioned parties, though no sound came out. She didn't laugh much, but she was certainly capable of expressing the emotion. "It depends on the party." it almost sounded like a joke, but it really wasn't. Being a concert pianist there were plenty of after parties. Though not the sort he was thinking of. "No, not a healer." she answered. She'd heard that one before. It was a common guess. "Some people would call it more.... frivolous." she hinted. Hey, she traveled the world and performed for a living, on many people's opinion that wasn't the most serious of careers. She thought differently though.

Freddie couldn't help but blush as she said it sounded like he was doing a wonderful job. He almost said he'd love for her to come see it some time, but he felt it was too soon for that. Too soon to invite his wife to his own house. He couldn't help but smile at how silly that sounded.
He thought she was about to laugh, but she didn't. He was sure she wanted to, though. She said it depended on the party, and he laugh. Partly due to amusement, and partly due to relief that he hadn't upset her. "Agreed," he said between chuckles.
Not a healer. Frivolous. "Hmm... model?" he guessed, though he couldn't see her doing that. Especially with such simple expressions. "Or possibly... singer?" he hoped he was getting warm!
