dear elliot,
That's great! Confidence in yourself and knowing that you deserve nothing but the best is a great skill to have. I hope you're having a great day! love, someone who cares @alexandre

person,
my parents raised me with the right skills. why lack confidence in yourself when the world will already do it enough for you.

dear elliot,
They sound like great people! My parents weren't so great, but I'm trying to learn how to be confident on my own. It's kind of exhausting. But I'm going to get it eventually!
No need to be so pessimistic about the world! There will always be someone who believes in you, like me! love, someone who cares @alexandre

person,
my mother was wonderful before she died.
it's not hard to do when you think about it, that's the first step. being confident enough to believe you can be confident.
lets agree to disagree on whether the world believes in us.
so what's your name?

dear elliot,
I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm glad that you had such a wonderful time with your mum, and probably have a lot of great memories to remember her by.
I know it's not hard to do - I've done a lot harder things - but I figure it's better to do it slowly and sustainably instead of shoving myself into a place where I'm not comfortable and I might fall off the wagon. Like I said, I'm working on it.
My name isn't important. Just know that there's someone out there who loves you. love, someone who cares @alexandre

more or less. she died when i was ten
i guess it depends on what is important to you. how you do it or when you do it.
i beg to differ. i trusted you enough to tell you my name.

dear elliot,
That sucks. My dad was never in the picture, so I don’t think it was as hard for me as having a parent and losing one would have been.
Add that to the list of things I need to figure out, then.
It’s not about a matter of trust. I just think that sometimes it’s better that love doesn’t have a name. love, someone who cares @alexandre

my dad's not in the picture now. so i really lost two parents when my mother died.
love always has a name. no matter who or what it is and whether you even know about it.

dear elliot,
Well, then it sucks even more. I hope you have somebody else, though. An aunt or uncle or something. When I left my mom, my older siblings really stepped up to the plate to help me.
Agree to disagree on that, then. love, someone who cares @alexandre

dear elliot,
Émile, like the Beauxbatons Champion Émile? I didn’t know that he had a brother or a sister. I don’t have any cousins, at least not to my knowledge.
Yeah, I am. I’m going with my sister, which some people think is lame, but she’s my best friend, so I think I’ll have the most fun with her around. love, someone who cares @alexandre

person,
yep, that's him. well he's not exactly the worlds most open person and unless you'd gone out of your way to talk to him i doubt you would have known.
why is it lame? at least you have someone to go with. good company is better than no company or company you don't like. spending time with someone you don't want to just because someone else thinks you should? that's lame.
hopefully it's good fun. i won't be there, i'll be in france.

dear elliot,
I’m kind of tangled up in the other Champions’ lives, so I’m not sure if adding Émile into the mix would be good for me. Or if I would be good for Émile.
I don’t think it’s lame. But some people put a lot of focus on romantic relationships, so not going to the Ball with a romantic interest is considered “lame”. My sister and I have never been ones for fitting in. But we have each other, and that’s all that I need.
I think it will be. Are you going home for the holidays? Since I assume France is home. love, someone who cares @alexandre
