Royal just smirked at Jonah when he said he wouldn’t mind him getting dirty alone with him. It was a little weird to transition from that topic to his sisters, but Royal managed to swallow the smirk and change it into a smile. “Saturday will probably work better.” It was outside the regular work week, so Royal could make his time free, and Addie would probably have off of work anyway. “Yes, Addie is a sushi fan. Well, a food fan in general – it’s sort of her thing.” Addie and Abby both had hobbies – Addie’s was good and Abby’s was beating things up, as far as Royal could tell. Royal had had a hobby, once, but then his book had been published and he had gotten busier, and writing had sort of fallen to the wayside. “I’m not as much of a fan of sushi, so I was hoping you’d say you didn’t like it.” Royal admitted, slurping down a bite of spaghetti. “I suppose I must resign myself to my fate now, though.” Raw fish or no raw fish, the meeting was going to happen.

@royal <3 "Saturday is perfect. Just let me know which one, I'll make sure my day is clear." Jonah grinned and ate a few more bites of the spaghetti before sitting back in the chair and smiling at Royal. "Food fan? That's interesting! I'm sure I'll love to speak with her." Royal went on to talk about how he wasn't a fan of sushi, and Jonah laughed quietly. "We can go somewhere else if you'd like, Royal. I'm not picky, and from what you've said I don't think Adeline is either." He took a sip of the wine and sat up a little more. "I'm stuffed!"

Royal smiled just a little. nodding gently. "Will do." He couldn't help but chuckle a little when Jonah mentioned that he'd love to speak with Addie, about food of all things. That was Addie, though. He didn't comment on it further. Jonah mentioned that they could go somewhere else and Royal shook his head, holding one hand up, "don't. It will be just fine. I'd like you both to enjoy it more than myself," he said. Really, he would. he wanted them to meet and hopefully get along. Abby had mentioned meeting Jonah once, and she liked him too.
Royal took the last sip of his wine and leaned back slightly as Jonah declared being stuffed. "Let's call it a night," he suggested, smiling. His smile was a little sad and his eyebrows slightly furrowed as he looked as Jonah across the table. His mind flashed back to that first moment entering the door, seeing Jonah standing there. A part of him wanted to cry, but he wouldn't. He felt sick, as if he didn't understand what he was feeling. "I'm tired," he said, gently pushing away from the table. "I'll get back to you about meeting Addie," he crossed over to his boyfriend and gently squeezed Jonahs shoulder before heading to the door.
He took one last look at the room. Jonah did all of this. For him.
So why was he feeling so... deflated about it all?
