overall personality:
I've been told I am much too serious for my own good. Some have said that I "can't take a joke." (I'm looking at you, Auror Office.) Well, in all actuality - I just cannot stand immaturity. Especially in a work environment. I take my job very seriously and love it with all of my heart. It is a very important job, after all, having to advise the Minister. (Especially this new old fool...) Anyway, so I can take a joke - just don't joke around on the clock. Along with that, I can combat your joking personality with my own sometimes cruel sarcasm. It is something I have excelled at over the years of working so closely to the people I do. Working in the Ministry, you see an array of different personalities and I've learned to deal with many different egos.
Over the years I've also... been quite reserved. I keep to myself outside of work. Like I said, I take my job very seriously and if I'm not at work, I am normally spending my free time alone and indulging in my own personal hobbies. But I don't get much free time, so when I do - yes, I like to be alone. I don't share personal information with coworkers. They are exactly that: coworkers. I don't go to work to make friends. But if we are friends, I don't need to tell you how much of a good guy I am. You probably already know how I can still be very much the same, but also more open and even laid back around you. I can also be very protective of you, as a friend. Growing up as an older brother, it kind of just became a big trait of mine, If we aren't friends, well, I've told you all you need to know.

father:
Alaistar Rockefellar, 68, retired Head of Department of Magical Transportation
siblings:
Isobel Rockefellar, 35, healer at St. Mungo's

history:
Alaistar Rockefellar fell in love with a muggle sometime after he had landed a job at the Ministry in the Department of Magical Transportation Jennifer, his love, was very open to the idea of a magical world full of witches and wizards. However, she never could have anticipated the life she would have from the moment she said "I do."
After the couple married, they welcomed their first child: Sebastian. He was an oddly quiet baby, never really fussing if he was hungry or tired. Of course, he cried now and then, but he was a good child for two newlywed parents. Alaistar had made it very clear to Jennifer that strange things could happen to their children, but Jennifer, being quite the skeptic, was doubtful. All would change when their second child was born.
Isobel Rockefellar was the final child of Jennifer and Alaistar Rockefellar and she was much more difficult than her older brother. She cried, and cried, and cried for days on end when they brought her home. At first, Sebastian was very confused as to the purpose of the infant. He had never before seen such a small baby, as Isobel was born early, and Sebastian was only five. After Isobel had been home from the hospital for nearly four months, Sebastian got very frustrated with her incessant crying. He went into her room, right across the hall from his own, and looked down at his baby sister in her crib. Tilting his head to the side in thought, he wondered what it be like to have just a day of peace and quiet from her crying. And then... Isobel was silent. She was still crying, but nothing was coming out. This made Sebastian a little scared, for he head no idea that he had just done it. When he cried for his mother, Jennifer came running in. Upon looking at her daughter, who was sitting in her crib, clearly sobbing but making no noise. She immediately contacted her husband.
Upon rushing home, Alaistar concluded that Sebastian had indeed silenced his younger sister. Sebastian thought he was in trouble, but Alaistar could not have seemed more proud. Jennifer, on the other hand, seemed less than happy. She didn't take the anger out on Seb, but rather Alaistar. He tried to explain to his wife that this was just a sign of magical abilities, and it was harmless, but Jennifer was not having it. So with a wave of his wand, Alaistar restored Isobel's voicebox and the crying ensued once more.
Sebastian knew about magic. It was hard not to with a father like his. When Seb was ten, his father was promoted to Head of his Department and shortly after - Seb received his Hogwarts letter. Like his father before him, he was sorted into Ravenclaw. It was no surprise, as Seb proved to be quite intelligent as a youngster. He loved reading books filled with knowledge, and didn't quite enjoy fiction books as much as he did books about history or animals or something of that nature. Sebastian was two years below the golden trio known as Potter, Granger, and Weasley, so he was at the school for all of the mayhem that went on.
From the age of thirteen, Seb knew he wanted to work in the Ministry like his father. The position he wanted was still a mystery to him, but he knew he would figure it out some day. Seb never saw an interest in Quidditch. He was more of just an avid fan than a player. His focus was more on his studies and preparing for his O.W.L.s. But unfortunately, his fifth year was interrupted by the take over of Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters. While Alaistar had grown up in a pureblood family, his children were unfortunately halfblooded and Alaistar saw it necessary to pull them out of school and leave work at the Ministry. Jennifer was terrified. While Alaistar assured her that there was no reason for the Death Eaters to come after them, she found all of the danger and action too much for her. While the Rockefellar family was in hiding, Jennifer left them. With all that was going on in the wizarding world, the Rockefellar family took this very hard. But in the end, the three remaining realized that if their mother was not strong enough for all of them... they were really better off.
After the defeat of Voldemort, Seb and Is were able to return to Hogwarts to finish their schooling happily under the Headmistress Minerva McGonagall. Seb passed his O.W.L.s with flying colors and when Kingsley Shacklebot was named Minister of Magic, Seb began to keep up much more with the brand new reformed Ministry. He read the Prophet daily and kept up with all the politics. The end of his sixth year was when he realized that he wanted to work closely to the Minister, specifically the Adviser to the Minister. So his seventh year, he studied hard and passed his N.E.W.T.s with excellent grades and was able to land an internship under the past Adviser right out of school. He was able to keep that position as an intern for three years.
Unfortunately, he had a lot of work to do to become the actual Adviser. Many thought him to be too young. So while he continued to intern under the Adviser, he took up a second job as a cashier at Ollivander's part-time. Even balancing two jobs, Seb took his business life very seriously. He wanted the Adviser position more than anything in the world. He wanted to work closely to Shacklebot and have some say at what went on in the wizarding world. He really wanted to make a difference and help prevent uprisings much like the one of Voldemort. So, when Seb was 32 he was finally offered the position by Kingsley himself after the old Adviser retired. Thrilled, Seb accepted. How could he say no to the job of his dreams?
Seb began work as the Adviser immediately, resigning as a part-time worker at Ollivander's - which they understood. Seb was able to work closely with Kingsley and give important intake on things within the wizarding world. He really felt he was making a difference. And in the process, he made a great friend in Kinglsey, who was sort of his mentor, in a way. All was going well and Sebastian was happy with his job and then... tragedy stuck.
Kingsley Shacklebot was murdered. Mysteriously and without a clue. Seb was left shocked and upset. The man had actually taken several sicks days after the news. He couldn't bear the thought that the Minister, his mentor, his friend had been murdered. After returning to work, Seb was not surprised to see someone else had filled Shacklebot's position as Minister. He was, however, shocked to find what a fool the man was. As Adviser, Seb has sworn to himself to do all that he can to help this poor fool make the correct choices as Minister. If Sebastian can help it, there won't be any more murders within the Ministry.
