Cori listened as Carcer related to her situation about being different. She knew that he was right, and she didn't feel the least bit like he was trying to one-up-her. It was nice to have someone who understood what it was like, being physically unable to do certain things because of ones 'difference'. But there was a difference here. Carcer didn't have a choice in those things, Cori simply just chose not to allow anyone to touch her. She probably could, if she wasn't so self conscious. Carcer was this way because of his parentage, something he was most likely not ashamed of even if it was a little inconvenient. "I'm sure that's hard for you sometimes," she responded, finally pulling herself out of her head.
When he spoke encouragingly and tapped her on the nose, Cori actually laughed a little bit. "I guess that's a good point. Not that who I am is really that spectacular," she said with an awkward smile. She was trying to keep the situation light, but she wasn't actually sure if she even liked who she was. She avoided most people and pushed others away, who would want to be like that? She tried to think of positive things that came from her curse, but her mind was drawing a blank.
She leaned back a little, smiling wistfully at the oncoming clouds. She was always grateful for snow. "Thanks for talking with me. This was fun," she said, eyes still on the clouds. She wasn't really used to making friends. Even though they had only spent maybe ten minutes together, she was grateful that this little meeting had happened.
