The past few weeks were like nothing Addilyn had ever had to endure before. Christmas Night was atrocious. There was only a small amount of time that had been memorable and the slightest bit of fun; the beginning. After almost two hours, it had completely gone down hill and Addilyn wasn't sure how to fix it, or what to do. Her bo-now ex-boyfriend, hated her. He avoided her at all costs, and it had been almost three weeks since they last spoke. Edmund thought she cheated on him, he saw a Gryffindor boy, Daryl Thomas, kiss her, and thought she had initiated it. Addilyn would never do such a thing, she couldn't. The one thing that was helping her cope right now, and keep her sane, was a favorite past time of hers.
Music.
After skipping breakfast, Addilyn went up to the second floor. There was an abandoned room there, with a large, dusty piano. She tended to go there often, especially after that one time with Brandon, and it was now her favorite hide out. Wiping off some of the dirt off the seat, she finally sat down, her facial expression stone cold. Lifting up the cover, her finger tips lightly touched the keys, and Addilyn took a deep breath before she began to play.
The music filled the room as Addi put all of her emotions into this one song, singing a few of the lyrics off and on, a few tears falling down her face.

It was toward the end of January, almost a month since he and Irina had... well, since he had broken up with her. He was already starting to feel better, honestly, and even had written Irina a few letters. She was still one of his best friends, as far as he was concerned. He was happy to give her the time she had requested, of course. But he still wasn't ready.
He wondered if other people went through this with break ups, going over every detail of those happy times and looking for where he could have fixed it sooner. Fixed himself sooner, in this case. His thought process was interrupted, however, by the feelings of someone in the room he was walking past. He stopped, his hand clutching at his chest for a moment. Wow. That was... it was intense. Then the music came to his ears, and he realized they must have been playing this whole time. He waited, for a moment, before slowly opening the door. The song sounded... familiar, and he realized he knew it. He found himself gently singing along, until he was standing beside her.
He bent down, still singing the words, and looked up at the girl, his brows furrowing together. Then, he held his arms out to her. He didn't even know this girl, and he was offering her a hug. If she would take it.
Her emotions felt like he was reading himself.

@daniel <3 Addilyn hadn't even noticed the other presence in the room. Her thoughts were too engulfed in the music, and in Edmund to even look beside her. As she played, her eyes were shut most of the time, except when she looked at the keys that she was playing. Normally Addi would pay more attention, especially where this room wasn't usually occupied by many people except those who needed a piano to play on.
As the song was almost to the end, Addi heard his voice. Heard him singing the beautiful words to the song that she was playing. She did not stop or pause, but continued as she looked up at the boy. From the clothing he wore, she knew he was a Durmstrang student, but Addi had not met him nor did he look very familiar. Addi forced a smile as the song ended and turned towards him, her hands still lightly touching the keys in front of her. His face was a bit scrunched together, and she tilted her head at him. Her fingers left the piano and wiped the tears off her cheeks, and when the boy opened his arms, Addilyn took the hug. She leaned forward and rested her chin on his shoulder, wrapping her arms around him as well.
