Irina smiled as Nik talked about when her and Daniel getting back together eventually, but there was that tiny, nagging feeling in the back of her head: but what if we don't? She didn't want to say that out loud though; Nikolai was doing his duty as big brother in the best way possible, and she didn't want to continue to bring this day down. Perhaps she'd get some one-on-one time with Magi; Magi wasn't Dan's best friend and had provided rather sound advice in the past about relationships. "Well I look forward to it, I'll have Dad write to Headmaster Longbottom giving me permission. You'll probably have to come get me and then escort me back, but if you're okay with that, I don't see what the problem would be," she told him with a little laugh. The security was tight at the school, but Irina was seventeen years old, an adult within the Wizarding World. With her fathers permission since she was still in school, and if Niko agreed to come get her, then it would be golden. @jill9

"I will most definitely escort you from the school, no worries on that one. And I'd hope the Headmaster would approve, he did so last time." Nikolai smiled. It was a much easier chance since yes Irina was an adult, and having a blessing from the big ol' Viktor Krum would be a positive in Niko's book. He sat up more and ate a few more french fries, his mind wandering to whatever Irina might want to eat. "Is everything else going well? School, the girls? I haven't spoken to Ripley much, but I have with Tatiana." Nikolai was planning on taking a break from Ripley for a bit. She had caused a lot of stress for him, stress that he didn't need, and Nikolai needed to stay away from that. For his sake, Magdalena's sake, and their child's sake.

Irina smiled at her brother; she didn’t think he would have a problem with escorting, but she’d never assume that as a rule. It’d be good for her, to get away from the school where she could see the Durmstrang ship harbored in the Black Lake, its sails rippling through the frigid breeze. Just two days so she could clear her head, spend some time with her brother and his pregnant girlfriend. Hopefully no visions would come to her; she’d already had the one about Ripley falling from her broom, she didn’t need a second one in the span of a month. And speaking of Ripley. “They’re fine,” Irina said simply, hesitating a little. “I had a dream about Ripley falling from her broom to her….well, to her death last week. Of course the roommate who happened to wake up to my screams was the girl who lost both her sisters, so you can imagine how that went over,” she finally said with a small sigh. Before her brother could respond, the waiter came over and asked if they wanted anything else. Rina ordered a Shepherds’ Pie, then looked over at Niko, waiting for him to order. @jill9

Nikolai's eyes immediately turned sharp as Irina spoke about her dream she had. If anything, that was not what he had expected to hear from his younger oldest sister. Especially that Ripley had died in the dream. "Death?" Now that multiple dreams of Irina's had come true, Nikolai immediately became worried. No matter how many fights him and his sister had, he was still very concerned about what this meant and if it was going to happen or not. "Have you told any of the Professor's? Or even told Rip to stay off a broom?" He knew as he said it that wouldn't ever happen, but it was worth the try right? "I can imagine, though...doesn't mean your issues are any less important."

Irina nodded in confirmation when Nikolai repeated the word 'death'. "I remember running over to her, and when I rolled her over she was just staring, eyes glassy, and there was blood on my hands." Rina shook her head, rubbing her eyes and sighing. "It was awful; I did tell Rip, and she seemed scared but I know how determined she is to play Quidditch after graduation. She might stay off for a few days for my sake, but the itch won't go away so easily." She looked over as the waiter brought over the pie and she tucked in, grateful for a few extra moments of silence while she chewed and swallowed.
"I know my issues are still important, but I can't ignore my visions, not entirely at least. They're a curse at most times, but the more I have the closer I feel to truly understanding my clairvoyancy. Maybe soon I'll be able to come up with a way to change the future before it happens, save someones life or something, you know?" she said finally. She was pretty sure Ripley believed her vision, but who knew whether or not that would stop it from coming true in the end. "What about you, how are Quidditch practices going?" she asked curiously, and also wanting to take the subject off of her for a bit.

His eyes narrowed at his sister when she explained the dream in much more detail. It seemed like the Krum family had one too many issues going on in their lives, and while it hurt in the pit of his stomach to think of her dream as a reality, Nikolai had a very big feeling Ripley wouldn't die. At least maybe that's what he hoped for...and how were they possibly supposed to stop this? Have Ripley never fly again? Like Irina said, she wouldn't stay off a broom for that long. "Maybe alert the Headmaster or something...I don't know..." He felt powerless.
Nikolai forced a small smile and nodded. "I'm glad you won't ignore it, Ri. And I'm glad you're trying to learn more about it, but stop having visions of your siblings getting all bloody would ya?" He let out a small laugh, hoping to lighten the mood. She asked about Quidditch and he nodded. "They're going well, definitely exhausting but I need to do whatever I can to save up more and more money."

Irina thought for a moment. "I'll alert her Head of House; she's best friends with the Head Nurse. She knows I have visions, so she'll take me seriously. I hope. And Jamie maybe too, her Quidditch captain, just if only to keep an eye out during practices," she said finally with a small smile. Professor Stephanidis was a kind woman, and did seem to really care about all of her students; she'd be the best bet to get through to Ripley if Irina could not. She chuckled wryly at his next comment. "Would if I could Nikolai; I'd kill for a happy vision of you and Magi or just even a happy family gathering with lots of food and flowers," she trailed off, laughing a little more. "One day maybe my Inner Eye will grant me those types of visions, but for now it seems to be death, injury and mortal peril." She went silent, eating a few more bites of her pie. She listened to Niko as he talked about his practices. It sounded pretty exhausting; she was glad, not for the first time, that she had decided a different career path than the family legacy. "Well I hope you don't tire yourself out too much, your next life endeavour I hear involves little sleep and long hours," she said teasingly. She'd never had a child of her own of course, but if her mother had been any indication, long nights were ahead for Nikolai and Magi. @jill9

"That's a good idea." If anyone knew Ripley, they'd know she wouldn't not play Quidditch or stay off of a broom for very long. It didn't matter whether it was seen in a dream or vision, she just wouldn't do it. And their next best option was to let most people know who would be able to help, as well as keeping an eye on Ripley as much as they could. Mostly so she wouldn't get hurt without anyone around to try to help. "That's all we can really do, but you did a good job of keeping it all together, Ri." He smiled genuinely. His sister's next comment made him shake his head, a smile still gracing his handsome face. "Don't you worry, you'll get sunshine and flowers some day soon."
"Ha!" Nikolai laughed loudly. Didn't he know it. This whole baby thing was...well, good and bad. Good because Magdalena was person who liked to stay up late, and Niko liked to wake up early. This gave the two of them an easy way to wake up with the baby and do feedings and diapers and such. But he did love his sleep; though he did go to bed extremely early it was uncanny. "Thankfully, I'll be able to get time off..." He scrunched up his nose. "I think."

Irina chuckled, shaking her head a little. "I try to look like I'm holding it all together Niko, but really, is anyone holding it all together really?" she asked a bit dryly. It was nice of her brother to say such things; as a big brother he was rather obligated in a way to make her feel better. But after breaking up with Daniel, Irina felt the opposite of 'all together'. "Maybe one day I'll have it all together," she mused, trailing a french fry through the cheese with a preoccupied sort of sense of mind. "You two do seem to have opposite sleep schedules I will give you that. Also Magi from my experience can sleep through a lot, so you'll probably be waking up with my little niece or nephew for the most part," Irina said teasingly, patting his hand playfully. "It's crazy, to think that in a few months everything's going to change," she said, finally popping that spare french fry into her mouth. @jill9

Her tone of voice had Nikolai looking at her pointedly, but he smiled all the same. He knew Irina wasn't having it, but he couldn't help but act the way he was acting. This was honestly her first heartbreak, and Nikolai had no idea how to deal with it or help her, so he was just trying everything he could think of. "I suppose not, Irina." Nikolai put his cheek on his hand and grinned at her, showing his teeth in a goofy way. Niko's other hand grabbed a fry and he plopped it in his mouth, chewing.
"You're telling me." He laughed, but his smile wavered a bit at her last comment. It was all going to change. Crazily change. And Nikolai wasn't sure how ready he was yet. Ready enough that for Magdalena's birthday he was finishing up a nursery as a surprise, but not ready enough to have a little, sweet soul in his hands. Nikolai was scared, Magdalena was scared, and they weren't sure how they were going to do it all. "It is."

Irina giggled a little at Nikolai’s expression. She knew he was just trying to cheer her up, but with his own limited romantic experiences it wasn’t the easiest thing in the world to console her on her broken heart. Especially since it was his best friend who did the breaking; perhaps falling in love with your brothers best friend wasn’t Irina’s smartest move, but then again she had no control over her feelings. Falling too hard too fast was certainly on her though, as was how far they had gone with their relationship. Nikolai didn’t need to know those details though. Irina noticed her brothers’ smile falter a little, and knew it was her time to comfort him. “Hey,” she said, reaching across the table to take his hand. “You’re going to be fine Niko, what matters is how much you love Magi and how much you’re going to love your new addition, which I know will be a lot. And besides, I’ll be there if you if you need any help...even though I have no experience with children. And so will Mum and Dad,” she reassured him, squeezing his hand lightly before releasing it. @jill9

Nikolai smiled at his sister's touch on his hand. He expected it, but lately him keeping his emotions in check was not working. Nikolai always tried to be the strong one, the older sibling, the only brother for his three younger sisters. Their parents were always around and loving, but when they weren't Niko tried his best to be that person Irina, Ripley and Tatiana could go to. But as they grew older, it was harder to be that strong guy he always was.
Irina's comment about her not knowing much about children. "We don't either, trust me, Ri." He forced a small chuckle. When she mentioned their parents, he gave a sad expression. He still hadn't told them, but him and Magdalena planned to once they had their appointment with the Healer to find out if the baby was a boy or a girl. It made Niko think they'd be more excited to find out if they were having a granddaughter or grandson. "I know I've said this, I'm just scared."

Irina watched her brother carefully as his expression changed when she mentioned their parents. "You still haven't told our parents, have you?" she asked him softly, already knowing the answer. Nikolai obviously had not let their parents know just yet that he was going to be a father, them grandparents. She had no idea how her parents would react, mostly because she wasn't even sure if they knew about Magdalena in the first place. Irina put the last little bit of her pie and chewed in silence. "I think you've got every right to be scared Nik, you're not even twenty yet and you're going ot be a dad," she said with a wry smile. "Nik...they know about Magi right? That she's your girlfriend at the very least?" she asked him, suddenly curious. @jill9

Nikolai looked at his sister, sadness just showing in his eyes. He never lied to his parents. He always told them the truth. All except that one big thing, that one horrible thing. They'd never know about that...at least he hoped. Elena and Viktor knew of the kidnapping but as of late that was all and Niko didn't think that would change anytime soon. "No, I haven't, Irina." Even though she knew the answer, he knew he just had to say it out loud.
Irina asked if they even knew about Magdalena, and Nikolai glanced down at his hands. He twisted them together a few times, swallowing as his sister finished off her pie. He hadn't been expecting that question, but he knew he should've expected it. Nikolai grabbed his cup of coffee and took a long sip before setting it back down on the table and glancing up at his sister. "No...they don't. I meant to tell them awhile back but...a lot of things happened and that was not one of them."

Irina gave her brother a sympathetic smile. "The longer you put this off you know, the hardest this is going to be," she told him softly. She knew it was hard for her brother to tell their parents that not only was he in a relationship, the girl lived with him and she was having his child. "You remember how you felt when you found out about Dan and me," she added, reminding him of when he came up to them in his Animagus form and found out that they were doing more than friendly things together. Her smile faded a little; the breakup being so fresh that even talking about it was still painful. "Sorry," she said quietly, then looked back at him. "Do you want me to come with you when you tell them? I can be like a buffer or something for you," she offered, wondering if that would help him out in telling their parents the big news. @jill9
