If there was one thing that could be said of Lily Potter, it was that there was never a dull moment when she was around. Lily said something about everything making more sense when the full story was on the table, and Jamie nodded a little, unsure why she suddenly felt a little sick to her stomach. She ought to be happy that Lily had told her everything, and now she wouldn’t accidentally stick her foot in her mouth. Jamie shook it off, trying not to let some ephemeral, unnamable emotion ruining her otherwise perfect day. Lily decided on the forest, and Jamie nodded. “Forest it is.” The scariest part of the forest for most people was the rumored werewolf pack, but considering Jamie was already a werewolf (and she was fairly certain that the ‘werewolf pack’ was just Adrian and Lily) that didn’t bother her any. And most animals seemed to be wary of her because of her lycanthropy, so hopefully nothing too horrible would happen to them while they were there. “I know you don’t.” Jamie said. Lily wanting to hurt anyone was laughable, but it was especially strange to think she would hurt Adrian. “Please don’t give me mental images like that.” Jamie whined when Lily made an allusion to other things. She didn’t want to have to Obliviate herself. lily luna potter

@jamie Lily cheered as Jamie agreed that the forest would be a good idea. She absolutely loved walking through the trees. Running was good too, but getting lost wasn’t, and that happened more often than not, especially while wolfed out. They could easily push the limits of how far they were allowed to be in there, since Lily was pretty confident in her ability to get them back out if worse came to worse. If not, well, there were plenty of places to camp out for the night. Nobody would think it was too strange that she was missing from the dorms since she practically lived outside of there anyways. The couch in the common room was a far better bed at times than her actual one was.
Marching across the grounds, Lily led the way, as she had earlier when she was skipping through the corridors. She was pretty sure that there wasn’t a designated pack leader amongst the Greybacks, and if that was the case, then she could be it. Adrian already followed her around like a lost puppy as it was, and she was pretty sure she could convince Jamie to follow her almost anywhere as well. A little convincing that she might do something stupid was always a good way to get the Hufflepuff’s watchful eye and her company.
A devilish grin came across her face as Jamie asked her not to give mental images of what she could do to Adrian. That was asking for it, no matter how she looked at it. “Well, I heard there are lots of things you can do with rope. And that’s like, the really easy stuff. I can keep going if you’d like?” Even if Jamie asked her to stop, the challenge had already been accepted. There was no stopping the train wreck of giggles that would follow it at the end too.

Jamie should have known that explicitly asking Lily not to put dirty mental images into her head was a sure way for the younger girl to want to do just that. At the mention of rope, a shiver went up Jamie’s spine – and not the good kind of shiver, either. She made a softy groaning noise, burying her head in her hands. Jamie could get embarrassed by things like that even at the best of times, but when you added in the fact that she was thinking about her younger siblings doing that, it was even worse. “Please don’t.” Jamie moaned at Lily, sure that she was already blushing bright red. “I don’t want any more nieces or nephews. Please.” Jamie then clamped her mouth shut. She didn’t think that Odette would have thought it prudent to tell either Lily or Adrian about her impending child, and Jamie didn’t want to be the one to accidentally let the cat out of the bag. She was hoping that the Gryffindor wouldn’t even notice what she had said, since Lily had a tendency to get distracted, especially when skipping down the halls was involved. And even if the younger girl had picked up on the slip of the tongue, Jamie thought that she could attribute it to her embarrassment or something. Either that, or she was wrong about Lily not knowing in the first place, and there was no harm done. That was the ideal situation, but Jamie wasn’t going to cross her fingers. lily luna potter

@jamie The reaction Jamie gave to the rope comment was priceless. There was the initial squirm, followed by the disgusted groaning noise everyone always gave, and finally the begging for her to stop. Lily absolutely loved that part. That was the invite to keep going until the other person started pulling their hair out in agony or decided to play along. Most of the Gryffindors had learned to play the game and humor her, and while it was fun to get them to say things they normally wouldn’t, it also got boring. Seeing physical shivers get sent through Jamie’s body was more than amusing.
“Fiiiine,” Lily eventually dragged out after a few more giggles. Slowing down to be in pace with the Hufflepuff again, she looped her arm through Jamie’s. “Do you think I’d look good in leather? I think I would.” Lily pondered, a smile starting to dance across her face as she wondered if Jamie would realize that she wasn’t done with the torture just yet. Of course she could easily get out of it now, unlike earlier. “And no worries there! Kids would only slow me down. I don’t have time for that.” Plus they were loud and obnoxious, and she couldn’t have them taking all of her glory. Babies only distracted everyone from her obvious awesomeness and cuteness, so there was no place for them in her life right now.

If Jamie ever met Harry Potter, she was probably going to blush profusely, not because she was meeting one of the heroes of the Wizarding World, but because she had heard his daughter say some positively filthy things. At least she would be able to assure him that he wasn’t going to have any grandchildren any time soon, though maybe the thought hadn’t ever crossed his mind. It depended on whether or not he had ever seen Lily and Adrian together after they had gotten together, Jamie supposed. At the question about the leather, Jamie tried to compose herself. She knew that there were ways to make that sexual, but she was not going to take the bait – Lily seemed to enjoy getting a rise out of her, and remaining relatively stoic might be a good tactic to get the younger girl to stop. “I think you’d look good in whatever you want, Lils.” The Hufflepuff responded diplomatically. Lily was confident enough that she could make a potato sack look amazing, so it wasn’t even a false answer, which made Jamie feel better. She sighed a little in relief, for two reasons. First, Adrian wasn’t going to be a dad anytime soon. Second, Adrian wasn’t going to find out from the wrong source that he was going to be an uncle. “…Are we just skipping in circles, Lily?” Jamie asked, glancing at a tree that they passed. She swore she had seen that before. lily luna potter

@jamie Darn. Jamie had a lot of willpower it seemed like. The leather comment wasn’t nearly as aggressive as the one about ropes had been. She knew that Jamie fully understood the intentions made with both. That’s what made the rather bland and fair answers Jamie gave in return that much better. “I knew it! Totally getting one of those biker jackets with all the metal spikes on it someday.” Lily wiggled a little with excitement. She would definitely freak people out when they saw her in that, but it would worth it. That was her whole shtick anyways; getting a rise out of others by saying and doing whatever she wanted. “Maybe a motorcycle to match too. Dad might not like that too much though…” There had been a long standing rule not to let her touch anything expensive, and she was sure a motorcycle, or vehicle of any sort for that matter, fell under those conditions. It wasn’t fair, nor was it plausible, because she’d always find a way.
Lily stopped walking when Jamie brought up the fact that she thought they were walking in circles. Looking around at their surroundings, she let out a laugh. “Story of my life Jam Jams! Story of my life.” She turned around on her heels so that she was facing back towards the school. “No biggie though. Back to the castle we go then!” She needed food anyways, and now was better than later.

Jamie laughed when Lily said that she was going to get a biker jacket with metal spikes. Most people would think that a little redhead girl running around in one of those would be ridiculous, but the idea seemed to suit Lily quite well, so who was Jamie to complain? At the mention of a motorcycle, Jamie wrinkled her nose. “I am not a fan of motorcycles.” She said. The one time she had ridden on a motorcycle with Harper, Jamie had been supremely uncomfortable. It had gotten better when they had started flying, but Jamie didn’t think that any motorcycle that Lily would get would have such a function. Then again, Jamie doubted that Lily would actually go through with getting a motorcycle at all – she seemed to have a lot of passing dreams that never really got fulfilled. Lily said that walking in circles was the story of her life, and Jamie laughed again. Of course it was. She was more than happy to agree to going back to the castle, though – all of this happiness was really causing her to work up an appetite, and she could use a lot of carbs to celebrate her best day ever. lily luna potter (le end)
