Anna wasn't quite sure how this was going to work out. She knew that she and Ranger were supposed to be meeting here so he could try flying again, but she didn't want to have any expectations about how it was going to turn out. She knew he was scared of flying, but that he'd done it a little recently. When she offered to help him with it a while ago, she expected him to say no, but she was glad he didn't.
At the moment however, Anna was waiting for her friend to show up. She already had a broom ready for both of them (just in case he wasn't bringing one) from the supply cupboards and was now sitting on the edge of the field. Alright, she wasn't sitting, she was lying down, looking upward at the clouds while she waited. She was sure that when he arrived he'd let her know and then they could get started. She was fine waiting though. Anna wasn't in any rush today.

@annelise today was the day. he was going to try flying again, the only difference was this time he was going to do it with anna. if anyone could get him through a few minutes on a broom without doing damage to himself or anyone around him. he hadn't tried sitting on a broom since his panic attack with irina but he was determined to try. it was either this, or learning to fly and he was certain that the latter wouldn't happen so a broom it was. he ran his hand through his hair as he made his way through the doors to the quidditch pitch and he grinned when he saw anna laying on the grass. he walked over to her and made to drop down onto the grass next to her. "that looks comfy."

Anna heard someone approach, but by now her eyes were closed and she was entirely relaxed. She figured it was probably Ranger. If it wasn't, they would probably talk to her and then she'd know, but she didn't care. In this moment she felt peaceful, which wasn't something she really felt a lot lately, so she was making an effort to appreciate it.
When she heard Ranger's voice nearby, Anna opened her eyes and looked over at him, "It is," she told him with a smile, fully expecting him to join her. She took a deep breath. "Do you want to sit here for a bit or go ahead and start? I'm not in a rush or anything, so I don't really care today." She looked over at him curiously, watching to see any signs of nerves or anxiety. So far he seemed to be pretty calm, which was definitely a good start.

@annelise "Do you want to sit here for a bit or go ahead and start? I'm not in a rush or anything, so I don't really care today." ranger grinned a little and spun himself slightly, moving to lay down against anna, resting the back of his head against her stomach as he looked up at the sky. he knew she wouldn't mind, he had been using her as a pillow for years and vice versa when she saw fit to beat him to it. "i'm all for taking our time." he said as he folded his hands across his chest and let out a loud sigh as he relaxed against the ground below him, letting out the breath he had been holding for most of the morning and he smiled slightly. "want to talk about anything but flying?"

She really should have expected Ranger's response. He merely sat down and put his head on her stomach. This was something they'd done for years, and Anna didn't mind at all. She laughed a little at how quickly he did it. It was almost like he expected her to try and dodge him, which was something she might have done, but not today. Today she was too relaxed where she was and she was trying to make sure he felt relaxed too. She already knew he was nervous about flying. "I'm not surprised at all," she teased. Then he asked if he wanted to talk about something other than flying and Anna thought for a second. "How was the Yule Ball?" She asked. She hadn't seen him there, which wasn't entirely surprising since there were so many people and she'd been entirely focused on Oscar, but she thought she'd still ask.
