keeping his hand gripped onto the jacket of the dark wizard, alex escorted him from the room where he'd been questions in relation to possible connections to the purifiers. while they hadn't been able to connect him to them, they could connect him on multiple attacks on wizards in the past while. this was the part of his job alex didn't hate, he didn't hate catching someone who caused fear in the community. he pushed the mans shoulder as they stepped into one of the magical elevators and reached up to grip one of the handles. "looks like your a bit tied up there mate." he said casually, the hands of the other man with him cuffed behind his back. when the contraption they were in suddenly moved, alex used the handle to stay on his feet and he kept his eyes on the bars at their destination, aware of the fact the prisoner was now sprawled against the back of the elevator. normally he was a friendly person, but he had his limits. when it stopped he dropped the handle and took his wand out of his pocket, holding it against the mans shoulder as he escorted him to the obliviators office. he wanted the man's memory wiped. if he had it his way he'd wipe it all. the worst punishment he could think of for a person would to be not to know why they were having their soul sucked out of their body. he pushed open the door and shoved the man through. he'd messaged blaise zabini before he'd left his own office, so they would be expected. "got another one for you blaise. full service." he said as he used his wand to make a chair slide into the back of the prisoners legs hard enough to make him fall back into it. "have a seat."

@echo The increase in memory-wipe charms lately was starting to get on his nerves. Actually completing the spells wasn’t an issue, nor was going out and dealing with the cases. It was the fact that the numbers kept growing because of idiotic reasons. Why couldn’t magical folks keep their wands in their pockets? The spread of magic sprouting up in the muggle world was like a disease. Luckily they had enough hands to stamp it out quickly, but the fact remained that there was no end in sight for them. Today was no different. Blaise had spent the morning out in London cleaning up some nasty case where a cauldron exploded and the puff of smoke that came from it caused people’s fingers to become jelly-like whenever they came in contact with it. He had decided that wiping the jelly-fingers part from their memories wasn’t enough, and turned the smoke into a gas explosion that had been easily put out. All of the firemen and first responders were freaking out by time he and the accidental injury squad showed up. At least it was a contained incident.
Now he was back in the office doing paperwork, his least favorite part of the job. There was an inordinate amount of it for every case, and the more memories that had to be wiped or altered, the more papers he had to fill out. This particular case had totaled to something around twenty. That was a medium incident on his scale. Any time now though, he’d have to stop this paperwork and move on to his next task. Some idiot had decided he wanted to attack other wizards, and now the aurors had him. The door to his office burst open and in came Alex with the lucky winner of a full service memory wipe. He loved those ones. “I’m honored to be graced with the head auror’s presence today.” He laced his fingers together as leaned back in his chair, staring at the man in front of. Alex managed to kick the chair into the back of his legs, forcing him to sit down. “You should be too,” he offered to the man. “Not that you’ll remember any of this in a few minutes.”
Blaise sat back up in his chair and pulled open a drawer, removing a manila folder that had forms in it. “All I need is some of this filled out. Snapped his wand already right?” There was a visible shake from the man at the mention of that. “It’s okay mate, you won’t need that after this anyways. Blew that chance already.”

“I’m honored to be graced with the head auror’s presence today. You should be too, Not that you’ll remember any of this in a few minutes.” alex sat slightly on the edge of blaises desk, more leaning on it than sitting, careful not to block his view of the man sitting in the chair. he held his hands out slightly and let a small smirk form on his face. "surprise." he said as he folded his arms over his chest and he tucked one foot behind the other as he kept up his casual stance. “All I need is some of this filled out. Snapped his wand already right?” alex nodded and turned his head to face blaise. "snapped and burned." he added as he pushed himself off from the desk so he could fill in what needed to be filled in. “It’s okay mate, you won’t need that after this anyways. Blew that chance already.” alex took the papers that blaise had taken out and grabbed the quill he saw sitting there and started to fill out what was needed. "so are you going to do this fast? slow?" he said as he lifted his head from the paperwork to ask the question. "i vote slow. let him try and remember everything slipping away." he said as he signed off on the paperwork and stood up straight.

@echo Blaise let his smile grow on purpose as Alex stated that the man’s wand was snapped and burned already. He didn’t think the smile was particularly menacing by any means, but apparently the man thought it was. Watching Alex start on the paperwork, Blaise contemplated the question. There were numerous ways to go about this. If the person’s crime wasn’t that bad and only a little had to be removed, he’d do it fast. Not like they would remember anyways. This guy on the other hand…it was a little more serious. Blaise’s background with the hitwizards had given him the taste for some unsavory methods when it came to doing the job. He wouldn’t necessarily call it torture, even though it was. At the mention of wiping the memories slowly, the man’s eyes widened. No, he definitely didn’t want that did he? Blaise could practically see the gears turning in his head. Quite funny actually. Most of them, when faced with the fast or slow dilemma, always looked like this. “Slow it shall be then. I’m sure anything really important has already been extracted from him, so we won’t have to do that today.”
Placing the signed papers back into the folder made up for the man, Blaise pulled his wand out and walked around his desk, bringing his chair with him. Setting the chair facing away from the man, Blaise sat down, arms hanging over the back, twirling his wand around between his fingers. “Usually I make some mention about how in a few minutes you won’t remember the names or faces of your children. Looking at your file, it doesn’t seem like you have any.” Blaise took a deep breath before continuing. “So, how’s your dear old mum doing? Good? Okay now hold onto that one for a little while, because that’s the last one I’ll be taking from you.” The horror on the man’s face brought him pure joy. Blaise wasn’t actually going to go that far; that was cruel and would leave the man virtually an empty shell. While he probably deserved that, there were more important things that needed to be removed first. ‘Full-service’ was unfortunately not the way it sounded, and only dictated that specific things be taken out of his memory. Every once in a while Blaise took a little extra though, if he deemed the criminal unworthy of certain memories. “Ready?” Pointing his wand at the man’s head, he cast the spell, literally pulling the memories away from it. First round was over. “How’re you feeling?” Looking up at Alex once again, Blaise nodded his head. “I think we should continue a few more times. I don’t think I’ve gotten all of it yet.”

“Ready?” alex watched and tried to keep his face as straight as he could. as much as he liked to see justice being served there was something unsettling about seeing memories being pulled from someone's head. as much as this guy deserved it, his memories made him who he was. though who he was wasn't someone alex really wanted wandering about loose in the world. it was a double edged sword in some cases. “How’re you feeling?” he dropped his arms from his chest and he stepped forward, pulling his own wand from the inside pocket on his jacket and he walked over to them. “I think we should continue a few more times. I don’t think I’ve gotten all of it yet.” he nodded a little and then made to summon a chair over to set next to the one blaise was currently occupying. "oh do let me try one." he said with what would look like an excited smile. "i've never done this before and it's always looked so interesting." he said as he put his wand up to the side of the mans head and while the look of terror on the mans face could have been punishment enough, it wasn't. as bad as alex felt about memory loss. "oh .. that doesn't look good does it blaise .. it's not supposed to be red is it?" he turned to his co-worker with a look of question on his face, even though the strong of memory hanging off the end of his wand was perfectly fine.

@echo Blaise was glad that Alex knew how to play along with his little game. Or was it the other way around? Either way, they were having a great deal of fun torturing this poor bastard, not to mention that they were still getting the job done. For all the ethical changes and pushes that had been made over the last few decades in the Ministry, memory extraction was the one thing that was still relatively unmonitored by the higher ups. Problems occurred and mistakes happened sometimes. Who was to say this wasn’t just another one? At least that’s what this man was going to believe. Blaise wasn’t actually getting rid of anything too important from his memory, other than what had been ordered by the Aurors. Those were the repercussions of misusing magic though. They were all raised to understand that simple rule from the moment they could comprehend what made them different from the muggle rabble. Alas, there were still idiots like this dolt who couldn’t process something as simple as that in their thick skulls.
“Are you sure? It can be rather tricky at first, especially if it’s your first time.” Blaise smirked, playing along with his colleague’s rather peppy attempt at wanting to get under their captive’s skin. This was far too good. As far as Blaise was concerned, this man had it coming. The best addition was the supposed change of color of the memory strand. Blaise had never actually utilized that lie before, but from the looks of it, it was still highly effective. “You know what Alex? This happens from time to time. You see,” Blaise pointed past the man’s peripheral view and towards Alex’s wand, “that right there, the reddish color, means that he’s about to lose something very important.” Blaise turned his attention back to the man so that he could make eye contact. “If I had to guess, dear old mum is about to be gone forever. So nice of you to give us that one.”
