Finn couldn’t help but laugh more as Fred mentioned how Abby was in Auror training. It didn’t make sense to him for the most part either, but it had been what Abby wanted. He had an inkling it had to do with her father, and how he had been one of the best Aurors the Ministry had before becoming Minister, and wanting to make him proud. His father had been a Quidditch commentator, his mother a player, but naturally Finn was impossible on a broom. He’d followed in Lee Jordans’ footsteps with the commentating, but after everything that had happened their final year at Hogwarts, he realized he wanted to be an Auror and serve the wizarding world the best way he possibly could. Finn had his hand on the door handle when Fred mentioned that his door was always open, adding in the shops hours as a small joke. He gave him a smile, small but genuine and nodded briefly. “I’ll remember that,” he promised, then pushed the door open. The weather had abated thankfully, but there was still a grim chill in the air, so Finn upturned his collar and trudged on down the street to get back to the Ministry.
