Dom shrugged when Irina said it was difficult to climb in the cold and wet. "That also makes it more of a challenge, which can be fun depending on who you're with," she added. She didn't necessarily want to fight with the other girl, but she didn't think the cold or wet was bad. She liked all weather. She listened as Irina started talking about a tree in Bulgaria. "Sounds like fun," Dom responded. "Maybe I'll have to visit sometime." Doubtful, but possible. Dom nodded, "Yeah. I like to think that I'm not going to do what everyone else wants or expects. I'm going to figure out my own way. And I applaud those who have already figured it out for themselves." She dipped her head in Irina's direction. She laughed, "Oh, don't worry about me. I don't ever do what other people want if I don't want to." Then again, that might be a bad thing, but that was just how she was. Dom followed her own rules, not anyone else's. Irina Rose Krum

Irina inclined her head in agreement with a small smile. She'd known the girl was more outgoing than your run of the mill Ravenclaw, but more and more she was recognizing a kindred spirit. Dom was clearly a daredevil, always up for a sort of challenge athletically. She felt a bit badly that they hadn't been friends really over the course of their time at Hogwarts, but she supposed she couldn''t exactly change the past. Just see the future, unfortunately. "True, very true," she mused, then chuckled. "If I had known about this sooner Dom I would have invited you whenever I ventured up towards the skies on the grounds," she added, tucking a long strand of black hair behind her ear.
She laughed again as Dom said she didn't ever do what everyone expected of her. "My mother would be so happy if I was following in my father and brothers footsteps, but I refuse. Quidditch is fun to watch but it was never my calling, you know what I mean?" she said, understanding the passionate need to do whatever it took to be true to herself and her dreams.

Dom grinned and shrugged when Irina said that if she'd known how adventurous Dom was, she would have invited her to join other excursions. "No worries. I might have joined you on them and I might not have. I'm always in the mood for an adventure, but sometimes I want different kinds of adventure so I just wander around until I find exactly what I'm in the mood for." Strange, yes, but it was just so typically Dom. If she wanted to join an activity, she would, whether or not she'd been invited. On the flip side, if someone was trying to get her to do something she didn't want to ... well good luck with that. It was practically impossible. "But we still have a few months more to have fun," she said cheerfully, ignoring the fact that her school experience was coming to a close. Dom wasn't in the mood to think about that right now. She listened as Irina explained what her mother wanted her to do with her life and scrunched up her face. "You just do what's right for you. Eventually your mother will realize that it's your life. I, on the other hand, might be interested in Professional Quidditch,"she trailed off a moment, looking up into the sky as though contemplating something. Then she looked back to Irina and winked. "But I doubt it. As much as I like Quidditch, I don't want to do it for my job. That would take all the fun out of it!" At least, that was Dom's perspective on it. Irina Rose Krum

Irina nodded thoughtfully at Dom’s explanation; she could understand where the Ravenclaw was coming from. “We do have months ahead of us to have fun,” she agreed, smiling. It was a strange thing to realize that in the not so distant future, she’d be graduating from Hogwarts and leaving to hopefully enter the Cursebreaking program. From her owls with Odette Greyback, it seemed that her application would be accepted, but she didn’t want to get her hopes up too high. It was also strange to think that just a short while ago, she had been planning on a future with Daniel; now who knew what he was going to do with the rest of his life after he graduated from Durmstrang.
Irina snapped her fingers and pointed as Dominique declared that Quidditch as a job would take away all the fun. “You see, that’s the same logic I have towards it, though I took it a bit further and refused to play for Gryffindor with my brother,” she exclaimed. “I get...too competitive, too unlike myself, way too invested in the game when I play an organized game. I don’t like who it turns me into,” she explained. That hadn’t stopped her siblings from playing, leaving Irina the odd one out. Now though she minded a lot less. “Thanks though; hopefully my mum will one day understand,” she added with a small smile. “I imagine it’ll be strange next year, there’s what...seven of you Weasleys graduating?” she asked, mentally counting them to make sure she got the number right.

Irina was being quiet ... which meant she was thinking. Probably about how close they were to graduating. Dom still wasn't going to think about that. She loved her time at Hogwarts, and while she knew that everything came to and end, she wasn't ready for her time at the school to end just yet. She was enjoying herself there too much. So when the Gryffindor girl agreed with what Dom already said, she smiled and nodded. Dom was taken by surprised when Irina suddenly snapped and pointed, so she watched the girl curiously as she said that Dom's reason for not wanting to do Quidditch professionally was the same way she felt about it, though she took it further. Dom shrugged at her explanation, smiling, "I don't take it too far, I just want to find something more worthwhile to spend my time on." There was a time when playing Quidditch after school really did appeal to Dom, but not anymore. As much as she loved the game and missed it sorely this year, she didn't want to have to go into all the politics that came with playing professionally. Dom laughed when Irina mentioned how many Weasley's were graduating. "Probably. I haven't taken the time to count us all up though." Nor would she. That would take too much effort and it wasn't really something that Dom was into at the moment. She smiled at Irina and then glanced at her watch. Yes, Dom had a watch. Sometimes she actually looked at it too. "Hey! It's time for dinner now," she said excitedly. Dom loved eating. "Let's head down so we can eat," she encouraged, starting towards the stairs before she finished her sentence. Irina Rose Krum (wanna do one more?)

Irina laughed. “That’s fair; I’m sure this graduation will be a very crowded one full of all the most important people throughout the wizarding world,” she said with a smile. It had seemed a little odd to her that most of the survivors of the Second Wizarding War had ended up procreating at the same time, but she supposed it would be fun for them to see everyone together at the school that ended the terror of Voldemort to celebrate their children. Children who wouldn’t be there without their efforts. She wondered if they would be like that should Elaine escalate to the level of Voldemort and his fellow dark wizards; if they won, would they be all so relieved that they’d marry and procreate quickly? Since Daniel left, Irina hadn’t wanted to even think about the idea of dating let alone marriage, so the prospect was strange to her.
Irina’s stomach grumbled as Dominique quipped it was time for dinner as if on cue in complete agreement. “Yes, let’s head down,” she said, smiling as she followed the Weasley downstairs for some much needed dinner. She had to shift her bag a few times, but thankfully due to Dom’s idea, the bag did not rip again.
END THREAD!
