Oscar was in one of his least favorite places to be: a library. Anna had insisted that she had needed to go to the library, though, for something relating to the Second Task. Oscar wasn't going to question anything related tot he Triwizard Tournament, since he was still a little paranoid that he would be accused of sabotaging Anna for Beauxbatons's sake. If going to the library with Anna was the only way he was going to be able to spend time with her without detracting from her study or preparation, then Oscar would brave it - for her. He had been charged with finding a table for them to study at, which hadn't been that difficult at all. The library was surprisingly empty. At least, it was surprising to Oscar, but since he didn't know much about libraries in the first place, maybe he was incorrect. He was stretched out in his chair, with a few books on the table to keep up the appearance that he was studying, even though he was just waiting for Anna to return from her search for a book.

Anna was looking through the library on information about Diricawls. She didn't know too much about them, or even if there was lots of information on them, but she wanted to learn as much as she could so she could be ready for the second task. She couldn't help but wonder what sort of situations they would be placed in. Her only hope was that it wasn't another maze, though being able to basically apparate at the sign of danger might be a handy thing. She found a few books that looked like they might be helpful so she grabbed them and started looking for Oscar. He would be somewhere around here. Finally she found him and walked up behind him. "Looks like you're being productive," she teased as she moved to sit in the chair next to him.

Oscar didn’t mind waiting for Anna, but it seemed like the minutes were stretched into hours when he was bored, and he was definitely bored in the library without anyone to talk to. When Anna approached him, she commented that he looked like he was being productive, and Oscar snorted. “You wound me, Annelise.” He said, using her full (middle) name because he had recently remembered it and had been looking for a chance to use it. “How am I expected to be productive when you are not around to motivate me?” Oscar asked. Most of the time he only did work because Anna was working on something, too, and it was easier when there was that energy of productiveness about him – and also when there was no one there to distract him (though honestly, he and Anna probably distracted each other more than necessarily healthy). Maybe he would help Anna look through her books instead of doing his own work.

Anna lifted an eyebrow when Oscar snorted and said she "wounded" him. "Annelise? You never call me that. Am I in trouble then?" She joked lightly. She knew he wasn't angry with her. When he was, it wasn't hard to notice. Then she laughed, "And now I make you productive? I thought me being around was more of a distraction ..." she responded, eyes twinkling as she leaned closer to him to tease him further. She loved spending time with him and now that she knew what the Second Task was, she felt a lot calmer. At least now she could prepare for it. Except ... right now she just wanted to enjoy some time with her boyfriend. She could study more later.

Anna had realized rather quickly that Oscar had called her by her full name, noting that that had never happened before. When Anna asked if she was in trouble, Oscar grinned at her. “I do not know. Are you?” He asked, in a bit of a mood for whatever reason or another. An argument could be made for the fact that she was in trouble for making him wait so long, but Oscar honestly didn’t care. It was just fun to tease Anna, and see what she came up with. “You are rather good at distracting me.” Oscar purred, leaning close so that he could peck Anna on the lips. “But I do not think that is normally the sort of thing that people do in libraries, no?” He wasn’t in libraries enough to know whether or not kissing at a table in the back was permitted or usual.

Oscar was grinning, which was further evidence that Anna wasn't in trouble. At least, not with him, which was what she cared about. She shrugged, ready to tease him now. "No, I don't think I am. You on the other hand are in trouble. I didn't expect you to choose a table all the way over here! I almost didn't find you," she teased back. Then he leaned forward and gave her a short kiss. "Oh, just kidding. You're forgiven," she mumbled softly. Then she chuckled. "We're so far away from where most people study that I don't think anyone will ever know we kissed," she admitted with a smile. "And since when have you ever cared about doing the same thing that everyone else does?"

Oscar narrowed his eyes at Anna when she said that she didn’t think that she was in trouble. “You are right. This time.” He admitted, though he immediately wanted to revoke those words when Anna said that he was in trouble! Oscar made an indignant noise, halfway between a whine and a scoff. “You are not a particularly good finder, then.” He said with a sniff, even though Anna said that she was kidding. His comment about her being a good finder still had a little bit of merit, since it had taken her far too long to find the book that she was looking for (hence why he was so bored). “Anna, I hate to tell you, but I think people know that we kiss.” Oscar said dryly. Granted, Anna wasn’t one for public displays of affection, but they had been dating for quite a while (over three months, at least), and people would find it strange if they hadn’t kissed at least once before. Anna asked when he had cared about doing what everyone else did, and Oscar shrugged. “I used to.” He said simply. That was another one of the parts of his past that he hadn’t elaborated on when it came to Anna – how he had desperately wanted to fit in, and be cool. Neither of those things had really happened, if Ozzy was honest, but now he was better, in more ways than one.

Anna smiled when Oscar said she wasn't in trouble, then giggled when he added "this time." She shrugged, "Well I'm sure you'll let me know when I am in trouble," she teased lightly. Then she laughed at whatever noise he made before telling her she wasn't a good finder. "Well I didn't expect you to be hiding out in the corner of the library," she countered, but she wasn't upset. Anna rolled her eyes at his next comment. "I know people know we kiss. I was just saying that I doubted anyone saw you kissing me just now since we're so far away from them. I was emphasizing that these seats aren't close to anyone." Maybe he would understand what she meant now. Even if he didn't, Anna wouldn't care. She loved spending time with him and being with him. He said that he used to care about doing what the crowd did and Anna leaned forward to give him a hug. When she pulled back, she looked at him curiously. "Why don't you now?"

Anna said that Oscar would let her know when she was in trouble, and Oscar snickered. “Do you intend on getting in trouble in the future?” He asked. Anna was too much of a goody-goody for Oscar to see her getting in anything resembling real trouble. The worst infraction of the rules she’d probably made was staying out after curfew, and even then, that was probably only on accident. “I do not ‘hide out’!” Oscar insisted when Anna gave a reason for taking so long to find him. When Anna rolled her eyes, Oscar rolled his right back, even though he didn’t really have a reason to – everything Anna was saying was true, and it made a lot more sense than his previous argument. “I thought that when studying, you wanted to be far away from people.” Oscar said, though he wouldn’t know, because, again – libraries were not his thing. But not getting distracted was key to studying, and being surrounded by people did not seem conducive to that. That was why they were in the library in the first place! Anna asked why he didn’t care what people thought anymore, and Oscar shrugged. “There are better things to care about.” Like Anna.

Anna shrugged when Oscar laughed and asked if she thought she'd be getting into trouble. "Nor really big trouble," she agreed, "But I'm sure that someday you and I are going to have some sort of an argument and then I'll be in trouble." Maybe not in real trouble, like with the school or ministry, but being in trouble when it came to Oscar was probably worse. She didn't want him to get mad at her. She laughed when he said he didn't hide out. She tried to stay quiet, but she wasn't really. She was having too much fun teasing him. She smiled, "I don't mind being so far away from people, I just didn't expect you to be all the way out here," she told him, finally letting him off the hook by not teasing him anymore. "But I think I want to be distracted right now," she admitted. "I'm not really in the mood to study." Which he might have already guessed by how much she'd been teasing him, but Anna decided to be upfront about it. She just smiled when he said there were more important things to care about, not sure if he'd want to expand on that since he was being so vague in the first place.

Anna said that she wasn’t going to get into really big trouble, and Oscar let out a laugh that was probably much too loud for a library. “I do not think we are good at arguing with one another.” Oscar said. The one argument they had had, about Anna’s friend Ranger, was over practically before it started. There was the time he had run away from her, of course, but that hadn’t been an argument so much as Oscar’s inability to handle his own emotions. He would have done the same thing with anyone else. Anna said that she didn’t mind being away from people, but that she hadn’t expected it. Ah – that made more sense. “Next time, I will tell you.” He promised her, though he was seriously doubting that there would be a next time. The longer he was in the library, the more Oscar remembered why he didn’t like them in the first place. Anna said that she wanted to be distracted, and Oscar’s eyebrows shot up. “You, Anna Weasley, are not in the mood to study? I am shocked.” But if Anna wanted to be distracted, Oscar was more than happy to do that for her. “How can I distract you today?” Oscar asked in his most professional voice, winking slyly at Anna.

Oscar laughed and Anna couldn't keep herself from smiling. "Which is a good thing! I don't like fighting with you." It didn't happen much, but Anna still remembered how bad it was the day they met. Luckily they hadn't had another fight like that and apparently Oscar didn't think it was likely to happen either. She nodded when he said he'd tell her next time. It wasn't a big deal, it just took her longer to find him. He started teasing her and Anna narrowed her eyes at Oscar and reached over to hit his shoulder lightly. "I don't spend all my time studying, you know," she told him, even though he was fully aware of that fact. Then she shrugged, "Surprise me," she suggested.

Anna said that she didn’t enjoy fighting with Oscar, and the Beauxbatons boy gave her a crooked smile. “I think if anyone enjoys fighting with their significant other, they might want to reconsider the relationship.” Oscar had heard that sometimes fighting was how people expressed their love for other, but that didn’t make a single bit of sense to him, and it sounded like it would get unhealthy after a while. Doing goofy, romantic things with Anna, on the other hand, never got old. “You do spend most of your time, though.” He teased when Anna insisted that not every waking hour was spent studying. She suggested that he surprise her with how distracting he could be, and Oscar’s mind instantly started running a mile a minute. Then, without preamble, he tore a strip off the bottom of his sheet of parchment, balled it up, and threw it at Anna, hitting her square in the nose.

Anna laughed at Oscar's comment, "Yeah, but remember when we just became friends and thought that fighting made us get along better," she reminded him. It was something like that, though she wasn't exactly sure. She wouldn't care if he corrected her though. She shrugged, "I'm sorry. We're on the down slope of it though. In a few months I won't be studying like this anymore." She smiled at him, "And whenever you need some time without studying, all you have to do is tell me." Really though, she was always willing to take breaks for him and wanted to make sure he knew that. Then he was tearing a paper and the next thing Anna knew, it was flying into her face. She jerked away a bit and then laughed. "Oh really?" She said, picking up the piece of paper and throwing it back at him, moving away a little bit even though she was grinning. She was excited to see what was coming next. It was definitely a good idea to be so far away from most people in the library.

Oscar had almost forgotten that his first few conversations with Anna had been arguments. That all seemed like so long ago, and he had to remind himself that it hadn’t even been five months. Him not being chosen as Champion probably was a good thing for their relationship, when all things were said and done, because that had been where most of his ego – and most of the causes of their arguments – had stemmed from. “We just did not know how to get along then.” He said. Oscar still needed to take notes on the whole ‘making friends’ thing, though he thought he had done fairly well when he had spoken to Anna’s cousin. That didn’t really count though, because of her proximity to Anna. “In a few months, I will never have to study again!” Oscar said jubilantly. He was planning on doing research, for the history books he was hoping to write someday, but that was different from studying, because he wanted to do it. “I will not make you take a break for my sake.” Oscar said stubbornly. Then Anna would never get anything done. Oscar laughed when Anna threw the piece of paper back at him, raising his hand so it bounced off of his palm. “Do not play with me, Anna Weasley.” Oscar said teasingly, his eyes glinting playfully.
