It was just another regular day in the Hospital Wing of Hogwarts. The sun light that was coming through the windows lit the room up. There were no patients occupying the beds, but there was one person standing there in the middle of the room watching one of the house quidditch teams practicing down on the pitch and it was more than likely that they would end up having one or two of the players in here before long. Sasha loved working here and helping to take care of the students. It had been one of her passions, she had always wanted to be a healer when she was young but her mother shot that idea down. But then she decided to become an auror like her father who had been killed over the summer. She had been recruited into the International Aurors about five years ago, to be an interrogator, when she had just turned twenty-four she had jumped at the chance to do more for people. And just at the start of this school year she had been persuaded by Walton to come and be a nurse at Hogwarts this year. Oh she loved that man but hadn’t felt like telling him that just yet, and plus it would be kind of weird they were best of friends and they hadn’t even gone on a date yet. But everything that he did made her fall even harder for him.
Shaking her head she got her thoughts away from Walton as she watched Nina her dog, and Mina, Maryn’s dog running around out on the grounds. She needed to find time to talk with her sisters and let them know that they weren’t alone and that she had already taken full guardianship/custody over them since their mother abandoned them. Oh how she hated her mother. First her mother kicked her out and now she abandoned her sisters, that was the last straw. Sasha could tell that her sisters had grown fond of Walton. It was sweet to see how he had taken an interest and liking to her sisters and how he cared for them was something that she hadn’t been expecting but when she found out it made her happy that he was doing that.
“I should have been the one to help them through it all.” She stated since she thought no one else was in the room, as she wrapped her arms around herself in a hug. She rocked back and forth on her feet as a few tears rolled down her cheeks as she thought about her dad. He had always been there for her, except for when she had gotten kicked out of the house. Her dad had been out on an assignment, and by the time he had come back she had already left. It hurt but she had talked with him many times, and he had even trained her to become an auror. But to her, it was now her sisters and herself. But then there was Walton. “Why is it that when I am not busy helping people or doing something, he always pops into my thoughts? Not that I am complaining or anything, but why?”
Sasha felt like she was just talking to herself, but realized that she wasn’t alone anymore. There was someone else here somewhere behind her. She pulled out her wand spinning around to see who it was. It was just a habit from being in the IA. As her eyes scanned the room they fell upon Caroline, the Head Nurse of Hogwarts. “Sorry about that Caroline.” Sasha said with a small smile wondering how much her friend had heard. She now stood there awkwardly as she put her wand away.
