It was way too long since the last time Dom went flying. She loved flying. Loved feeling the wind in her hair and feeling completely free. She wished they were still doing Quidditch this year, but the tournament stopped that. So much for being Team Captain. She was, but she couldn't do anything with it, except for plan practices that didn't really do anything. Not when they weren't having matches. Still, Dom loved the fact that she could take off and forget everything else. Up here, in the sky, things were completely free. She was free. No worries or troubles. Not here. While flying, she could let everything else go. She zipped from one end of the pitch to the other, oblivious to the world around her. She laughed, giddy at the sense of freedom that she felt.

@dominique ripley ran her hand through her hair as she made her way down to the quidditch pitch. it had been so long since she'd been out in that field, been so long since she'd felt the wind whip her hair around her face, the sting of the air on her cheeks that got colder the higher up she circled. it was one of the best feelings in the world but a careless accident had almost stolen it all away from her. she had one of the old school brooms in her hand, not wanting to use her own just yet, it was still tucked safe up in her dorm. she walked through the doors to the pitch and smiled when she saw a familiar red head already flying around. she zipped up the black jacket she was wearing and mounting her broom, her jeans making it a slightly slower action that it usually was but she felt settled there. she felt as relaxed as she had in the last few weeks and that was a good thing. she pushed off with her feet and soared into the air, her hand raising in greeting to dominique. "hey dom!" she called out to the other flying, keeping one hand gripped slightly tighter than normal around the handle of the broom.

Dom didn't even notice when Ripley approached her from below. To be entirely honest, she was caught up in the wonderful sensations of flying. She loved being up here and she didn't do it half as much as she wanted to. With the Triwizard Tournament this year she felt like a rubbish captain, though she'd taken over last year when Ethan ... no, she wasn't going to think about that right now. This moment she was going to focus on her flying. She paused when she heard someone call her name and then spun around. She smiled when she recognized Ripley. She hadn't seen the girl in a while, probably due to her accident. Dom approached her smoothly with the broom. "Hey Rip," she greeted. "How are you doing?" she noticed the girl's semi-hard grip on the broom but didn't say anything. It was natural to be nervous after returning from an injury.
