Rory's shift was finally over. He loved working at St. Mungo's, but it could be quite stressful, especially on busy days like today. Despite the stress of working to save lives and heal injuries (simultaneously at times), the hours passed swiftly. Maybe it was because he had a lot to do and his mind was busy. Rory rarely had the chance to even look at a clock on days like today.
As he was making his way to the door- Rory often walked home- a receptionist at the desk called his name. Apparently there was some important paperwork that was left at the Hospital and the administrators wanted it to be delivered in person. Rory wasn't normally one asked to do this sort of thing, but since he was already leaving, she asked him to take care of it. Of course he would. Taking the envelope, he walked out of the Hospital and made his way to the Ministry.
Once there, Rory made his way to the lift. There were quite a few people inside and he turned to the person next to him. "Sorry, do you know what floor the Auror's office is on?" he asked. He'd only been here occasionally and was a little nervous that he was about to get lost, though he wouldn't show it.

@rory walking through the ministry, tadgh was glad his shift was almost over. it had been a long day and while it hadn't been action packed it had been stressful to deal with everything that was happening in the office. they were still recovering from the deaths of people earlier in the month and it had been hard to come to work for a while, for him personally because he'd felt drawn to spend time with his family, to make sure they were safe and he had to admit he was terrified of the fact his younger brother was out in the world on his own, rauri had recently moved out of home and into his place so the kid was still learning how to take care of himself so tadgh felt an extra sense of responsibility for him. he got into the elevator and lifted his hand to hold onto one of the handles when a voice sounded next to him. "Sorry, do you know what floor the Auror's office is on?" he wanted to find the auror office, that's exactly where tadgh was headed. "i can do one better than to tell you, follow me and i'll show you." he said with a grin as he turned to face the man that had asked. "tadgh kavanaugh." he introduced himself, waiting for the elevator to make it's stomach churning journey from the floor it was on to the aurors office floor.

Rory smiled when the guy next to him said that he'd show him where the auror office was. Great! Now he wouldn't get lost in here, which was something that had happened before. When outside, Rory had a good sense of direction, but inside he didn't. Without the sky in sight above him, Rory had a tendency to get lost. "Thanks, man." Rory answered with a nod. It was lucky that he ran into someone who wasn't too busy to show him where he needed to go. Or maybe that guy was going there anyway. "Rory Williams," he answered back, extending his hand to shake if the man wanted. "So you work here?" he asked. Rory hated the awkward silence of elevators and he was definitely going to do all he could do to avoid it, if at all possible.

@rory "Thanks, man." tadgh knew how confusing the ministry lay out could be. there were still days when he questioned himself on floors he didn't spend a lot of time on. there were so many it was literally like a maze that never ended. he'd worked there for three years so he understood the plight of someone who didn't. "Rory Williams," He reached his hand out and shook his hand firmly. he wondered what he needed from the aurors office but it wasn't strange to have people come see them, people with concerns and once someone who was quite happy to tell them they weren't doing their jobs right. he almost chuckled at the memory but managed to bite his tongue so it didn't look like he was crazy. "So you work here?" he nodded and let his hand drop back to his side and he kept one gripped on the handle of the elevator. "i do. i'm an auror, so i knew better than anyone where you need to go." he said with a smile.

They shook hands and Rory was perfectly content to follow the man where he needed to go. Honestly, he just wanted to get this done so he could go home and relax. Not that he was going to rush ... Tadgh. Yes, that was the man's name. He was good following the man. He said he was an auror and Rory smiled. "An auror? Well that's just lucky for me," he smiled back. Really, Rory didn't normally have this good of luck. Not that he was unlucky, he just normally had to work at things more than this. "So how long have you been an auror? You look ... kind of familiar to me, if that's not strange of me to say." It probably was, but Rory already said it so oh well. They might as well talk instead of walking around the ministry in silence. That would be boring.
