Hello there, my name is Kinsey Page Bainbridge but you can call me Kins. I'm 16 so that makes me a 6th year at Hogwarts, where I reside in Ravenclaw house. You could say I'm intelligent, knowledgeable and witty, but I personally think that I am resourceful, independent and a bookworm. People say I look a lot like Odeya Rush, but I don't really see it...

overall personality:
Kinsey is a resourceful and independent young woman. Due to the fact that she often felt alone as a child, she is used to taking care of herself and figuring out her own ways to do so. She prefers to do things on her own and in her own way, instead of relying on others for support. If she believes it necessary for her to rely on someone she will often turn to her older brother, Dustin. She feels like out of her siblings, he is the one who understands her the most, though she also believes that he can’t understand her fully. At least, not the way she would like.
Kinsey is a bookworm. Growing up she preferred to be alone most of the time, and she often spent much of that time reading books. She likes informational books, fantasy books, basically any kind of book that she can get her hands on. Whether she is outside on the castle grounds, inside sitting on a windowsill, or in the kitchen at home, Kinsey almost always has a book on her. They are a sort of protection bubble to her and she trusts books entirely.
Kinsey wants to be accepted. Her whole life she’s felt like an outsider. All of her sisters have a twin/triplet and yet she doesn’t. The one sibling to not have a twin/triplet is the eldest and is also a boy. So while she can connect with Dustin in being a singleton with her, their situations are not quite the same. Kinsey often feels overlooked and unnecessary, almost like she would be forgotten if she went away too long. She knows that her family loves her, but struggles to accept that love and acknowledge it.

White owl named Scuttle- it was a gift from her brother when she turned 11 and started going to Hogwarts. She tells it everything.
history:
Kinsey grew up as the middle of the Bainbridge family. With her older brother and sisters and her younger sisters, growing up she was rarely alone (though she often tried to find ways to escape and find her own privacy. At least, that’s how things were when she was young. When she was seven, one of her younger sisters got particularly angry with Kinsey and screamed at her and that was when it started. She could sense her sister’s fury and … bad intentions? The whole thing was extremely unsettling to young Kinsey, but from that time on something was different. She noticed very early on that touching people made her “gift” stronger. For example, if she was hugging one of her siblings she could tell if they were lying or about to do something untrustworthy. Close proximity had almost the same effect, but it was a weaker feeling for her. Distance made things easier, which also made them harder. Her desire- or rather, need- to be alone was frustrating to those in her family and Kinsey felt even more alone than she ever had before, especially since her brother was off at school by this time.
Going to Hogwarts was both a relief and a challenge. A relief because it meant she could get some distance from her family and give them some space as well, but it also meant being around a lot more people, which was hard. It took Kinsey about five minutes of attending the Great Feast the night she arrived to decide that the Great Hall was too full of varying intentions for her to be able to stay there with any amount of peace. So she took to eating early or late, arriving when there were less people in the Great Hall. She always blamed it on getting stuck in a book and after a while people stopped wondering where she was and expected her to be late. She also became a regular visitor of the kitchens, on days when her senses were heightened and she couldn’t stand to go into the Great Hall at all.
The one thing Kinsey loved about her ability was how helpful it was when it came to Quidditch. No, she wasn’t as gifted at the game as her older brother and hadn’t made it in to the team by her sixth year, but she hoped to be able to the next year. It was handy to be able to tell which of the players had bad or negative intentions because then she could avoid them more. She did that a lot when playing around with her friends.
The attacks on Hogwarts last year frightened Kinsey beyond compare, especially because she hadn’t sensed anything out of the ordinary before they happened. She was used to passing people with bad intentions in the hallway, and noticed nothing out of the ordinary that April Fool’s Day. Then, all of a sudden people were screaming and spells were being fired and not only was she being attacked physically, but the bad intentions- intentions to hurt, take and kill- were so strong that she couldn’t ignore them. She fought and then ran. She wanted to help, wanted to protect others, but she couldn’t. She ran through the castle until she found a small corner with no one nearby and then curled up in a ball until the next day. Kinsey is terrified that something like that will happen again and that- once again- she won’t be able to sense it coming or help those around her avoid injury.
