DUNK THE MERMAID A lovely carnie has volunteered to dress up as a mermaid (because those darn mermaids just wouldn't agree to some fun!) Step up and throw a bean bag to try and dunk the mermaid. Flip a coin 3 times and at the end of your post, specify what was heads or tails.
Open: Wednesday Cost: 2 tokens Tickets: 5-15

Royal was continuing his carnival crawl, and he had to admit that he was actually sort of starting to enjoy himself a bit. Not enough that he would spend money on purchasing more tokens, but enough that he was definitely going to finish using the tokens he had received, and not just out of some sense of obligation. He was still looking for the simpler games, so when he saw a sign that proclaimed 'Dunk the Mermaid' he paused. That didn't seem like much effort, and since he had already kicked something, it only made sense if he threw something too, right? (Royal definitely wasn't going over to the booth because he thought that the girl in the mermaid costume was pretty. definitely not.) He approached the booth and handed over some of his tokens, slightly disappointed to find that he was close to running out. Why was he even having fun here? He should be doing... well, something else. Royal shook that thought out of his head when he was handed three bean bags. He considered closing one of his eyes when he threw - for better aim and everything - but decided that would look ridiculous. He wasn't an athlete by any means, but Royal could throw decently, and as he fired off one beanbag after another, he hoped at least one hit the target.

Yadi had brought Lucia to the carnival this weekend just to get her out of school and spend some time with his beloved daughter. They'd already played a few games together and won a few prizes that she was excited to take back to school with her. He just happy enough that she was having as much fun as he was. She was at an age where it was starting to become really confusing what they found cool or not. He just hoped she never got tired of spending time with him. They were walking around the aisles and aisles of booths when she spotted the Dunk The Mermaid one. She had wanted to see if he could get the mermaid into the tank and he figured that he could because throwing a quaffle was what he did for a living so why not. Upon approach he confirmed that the mermaid really was a dressed up carnie, oddly enough. Another carnie, this one not dressed up like a mermaid, explained the game, told him how many tokens it would cost and handed him the bean bags to play. With a breath of concentration, he tossed them at the peg to try and knock them down.

Rosie was not known for being strong, however, she was fairly sporty. She loved sports, regardless if she was good at them or not, and she had spent her childhood playing sports on teams and just with her dad in the backyard. She saw the Dunk The Mermaid booth and decided to test her arm. It had been a while since she had played a sport but she once remembered she had a fair arm. She had been loving the carnival so far and found every game that she had played so far so fun, regardless of whether or not she won. When it was her turn in line, she paid her 2 tokens and took her shots.

Well! Adonia thought this was an extremely fun activity! She raised an eyebrow at the person dressed as a mermaid, and wondered if the silly mermaids would find that offensive. Well, she hoped they'd never find out! Granted.... that could be pretty funny. No, no, she couldn't try to show it to them. Plus, she didn't even have a camera, let alone underwater proof photo paper, let alone a connection to the mermaids... nope, the idea of causing a riot wasn't doable, at least not right now. So! She grabbed the bean bags and stepped up, grinning widely. "Hope you're thirsty," she muttered to the lovely volunteer, lifting the bean bags to take her shots, one of her wildest grins on her faces. She laughed loudly as she tossed, hoping she could dunk that mermaid! SUZIEADMIN DEE edit

Roxanne grinned when she spotted the Dunk The Mermaid booth. Throwing things was her speciality - quite literally, because she was a Chaser, and going pro too. She smiled at the carnie dressed as a mermaid - a fairytale one, not one of the ones who were at the bottom of the lake - almost apologetically, because if she had anything to say about it, they'd be in the water in a moment. She hefted one of the bean bags, feeling it's weight, and tossed it at the center of the target, hard. @kath ADMIN DEE edit

Daniel was just about to keep walking, he wasn't sure why he bothered coming to the carnival in the first place. He had thought it would be fun but all it did was remind him of back home and being with friends there. People running around having fun with people they knew while half insisted on bumping into Daniel. Sure it wasn't on purpose they ran into him but he could help but begin to feel it wasn't all that random as it kept happening. Daniel had just started to walk by the dunk the mermaid game when the carnie that was dressed up in the tank started heckling people that went by. Just an attempt to get more people to play Daniel knew this but he wasn't in the mood so when the carnie questions his ability to throw some silly bags at the target it was all the incentive he needed to dunk them. Daniel walked up and took his three bags only hoping that each one dunked the carnie as they continued to heckle him as he threw them at the target. Other TJ @puck edit

Georgie had been taking care to avoid the violent games since her unfortunate experience with the dementor pinata, but she thought that throwing bean bags to dunk a mermaid wasn't violent enough to make her feel sick again. It was, after all, just trying to hit a target, and the target didn't resemble anything, living or dead. Georgie took a deep breath to steady herself, paying special attention to her stomach in case she had to quit halfway through. She didn't know why violence was so bothersome all of a sudden, but she definitely wasn't going to exacerbate it unnecessarily. Luckily, when she began to throw the bean bags, Georgie's lunch didn't threaten to some back up or anything of the sort, and she didn't need to sit down. She could just collect her tickets and move on.

Finishing up the Butterbeer that he had purchased a few minutes earlier, Scorpius found himself continuing down the line of games. Another one that he recognized, though was altered for the magical crowd, was a dunking booth. The carnies must have had a ball coming up with this one, because instead of the clown that he recalled normally seeing inside, they had a person dressed up as a mermaid. At least he thought it was supposed to be a mermaid. It looked like the costume was one of those muggle Halloween ones, because he had seen pictures of merpeople before, and this looked nothing like one. Having a real merperson in there probably would have gone against those ethical standards he had worried about back at the Punt-A-Gnome game. This was certainly more comical though, and the worker dressed up was doing a damn good job at trying to speak in their native language. All he could hear was screeches, but it worked.
Stepping up in line, Scorpius was handed three bean bags to throw at the little target. His throwing arm wasn't nearly as good as it was when it came to directing spells with his wand. Regardless, the Slytherin lined up and tossed them.
