EXPLOSIVE KERPLUNK There's a giant clear cylinder with sticks sticking out and explosives in the middle on top of the intersecting sticks. Your goal is to take out one stick and see if you made it without anything exploding or if you made something explode! Pick a number between 1-10 and it will be based off of a number generator.
Open: Thursday Cost: 3 tokens Tickets: 5-10

Zita had been at the carnival for a little while now and she was having a pretty good time. She'd ridden a couple of rides and had a lot of fun. What had been really interesting was the games. There was such a wide assortment of games. She wasn't great at all of them but just having something fun like to do made her excited. She was standing in front of one of the games now trying to decide if she wanted to give it a try. The sign stated that it was Explosive Kerplunk. She didn't think she had a good chance at winning it because she'd watched a few people go before her and they hadn't done so well either. The game looked difficult! How was she supposed to pull one of those sticks out without having one of the explosives go off? She took a deep breath before approaching the cheerful carnie that was running the booth. There wasn't anything to lose but she was really hoping she won. She had her eye on one of the prizes at the booth. She handed the carnie the appropriate amount of tokens before she stepped up and weighed her options on which stick to choose. After standing there too long and realizing that all of her options looked bad, she reached for a stick and tugged gently on it.

It had gotten later in the day and Liona was getting rather annoyed because many of the lines had gotten longer with the entrance of more people. She hadn't been there too long either but she was annoyed that she actually had to wait in line to play some of the silly games. Walking around the carnival now she had skipped many of the rides she'd wanted to experience because their lines had gotten ridiculous with their popularity. She decided instead to try and spend some of the tokens she had been given when she entered. She'd seen an Explosive Kerplunk booth the last time she'd been there and it had seemed dangerous at first. Her curiosity had gotten the better of her though so she decided she wanted to try it out. This line wasn't too long either so she was a bit happier that she'd be able to play. Once her turn came, she handed her tokens to the carnie and stared at the piles of sticks. Hopefully nothing exploded when she pulled at them.

The minor rush of adrenaline that Royal had gotten from getting tickets at the rubber grindylow barrel was making him a little more alert.. However, he was still looking for more lowkey games, and preferably ones that would help him keep him awake. When he saw the sign for Explosive Kerplunk, he knew that he had a winner: all he had to do was pull a stupid stick, and then if he got exploded over (which was entirely possible, given his luck lately), then he would definitely be more awake. Royal was trying to avoid thinking about the less pleasant side effects of having an explosion occur in his immediate vicinity, like the possibility that he would freak out. That sort of thing tended to happen when your sister died in a house that may or may not have exploded. Royal still wasn't clear on the details of what happened at the Riddle House due to his preoccupation with the fact that Abby was dead... But in any case, he had pulled out one of the sticks while having his inner monologue, and was waiting for the result.

Viola's girlfriend was a little crazy. It would figure that Maria would want to start out the day with something like Explosive Kerplunk, but like Viola had said, they rather fancied having all ten fingers and all ten toes - and a nose and two eyes. And thirty two teeth. There were very few body parts that Viola was willing to part with, hence their apprehension when it came to explosions happening anywhere in their vicinity. However, Maria had encouraged them to take a risk, and despite their cheeky comment about Maria being a risk enough herself, Viola decided that they would humor their girlfriend. They didn't waste must time trying to study the various sticks. Either something would explode on them, or it wouldn't. Agonizing about the decision could only end up hurting them more - even if they were safe, it would taint the memory of the thing with worry. Viola wondered if they were really thinking about the game anymore, or if there was something else on their mind. It didn't matter - Viola didn't care about metaphors. They cared about Maria, and they cared about knowing whether or not they were going to have to glare at their girlfriend because of a mini explosion.

Viola was being such a poor sport about this! What was wrong with a few explosions? Kept life interesting. This was coming from a self proclaimed pyromancer (some would probably say pyromaniac) though, so Maria's opinion was slightly biased. She just loved setting things on fire.... And watching things burn... Okay, and yes explosions were great. Okay, so maybe Viola was right to be worried. I wasn't like they ere in any serious danger though. If the game was truly dangerous they wouldn't permit it at this carnival after all! Or at the very least there would have had an age requirement. An age requirement wouldn't have deterred Maria though, truth be told. It'd make it more enticing.
Maria let Viola go first, and her partner managed to successfully remove a stick without setting anything off. "See! All good!" Was Maria's proud response before turning to the stack once more and randomly yanking out a stick of her own. To be honest, she sort of hoped it would explode just for fun.

Roxanne wouldn't be her father's daughter if she turned down an excuse for explosions. Really, it would be a travesty to think otherwise. So when she saw Explosive printed on a sign, she didn't even think to question what the Kerplunk part meant, she just ran straight on over. She watched someone else take a turn and frowned when they seemed relieved by the lack of explosion - what fun would it be if there wasn't an explosion? But maybe she would get one, so she handed over her tokens, picked a stick, and pulled.

Now here was something that was going to prove interesting. Zaire was standing in the short line that was supposed to be for the Exploding Kerplunk booth. He'd seen a few people play the game and began to feel confident that he could choose the right stick that wouldn't make anything explode. Watching some of the previous idiots go through it had made him amused as he watched their bad choices and then watched them be surprised when they suffered the consequences. The line got shorter and someone else went, a loud bang tearing through the air and he snickered to himself once again. The person that was standing in front of him turned around and gave him a rude look. He returned the favor in kind. Once his turn arrived he surveyed the sticks in front of him, attempting to determine his best option. Once he got one in his sights, he reached and pulled at it.
