Juliet had been walking around the carnival awkwardly for a good ten minutes now, unsure of what to do. It was a lot louder here than she liked, and she was hesitant to use any of her tokens because she knew she would be awful at carnival games. Finally, she saw a large booth labeled "Build Your Own Wand" that seemed like it could be interesting. First she chose a large stick that had been cut in half. Next, she encased a plastic feather within the wand, to be the wand core, and glued the two halves together. At this point, Juliet was feeling a bit embarrassed, because she had glue all over her hands and also because the only other people making wands at the booth were young children. Nevertheless, she continued. The wand did not look realistic at all, so Juliet decided to make it look over-the-top-cheesy by gluing some pink foam hearts onto it. Overall, the toy wand looked absolutely awful, but maybe her little sister would think it was a funny gift.

Yadi knew they were going to end up at this booth today because they hadn't had enough time to do it yesterday. He'd spotted it first, just as both he and Lucia were leaving the carnival for the evening he'd been ushering her to walk ahead of him and just as he'd turned his head to the side, he'd spotted the booth only to hear a loud gasp come from his daughter. He grinned at the girl as she begged and begged for them to participate in the Build Your Own Wand booth but he promised her that they could do it when they came back. Now they were in line for the booth and she was jumping up at down, waiting to get a seat at the table to start on hers. As he looked over the crowd, he noticed that there were only little kids sitting at the tables and he hadn't wanted to look awkward sitting there with her. She changed all of that though when she demanded that he make one too so that they could compare them once she finished. He wanted to groan, he wasn't really an artist so he knew that hers would look significantly better than his. She asked though and it wasn't that big of a deal so he'd participate as well. The line moved and spots around the table opened up for more participants, just enough for the both of them to fit. She grinned up at him just before she dove in and began making hers. He grabbed on of the sticks that were sitting on the table, any one would do really. It was much shorter than his own wand. He took some gold ribbons and stuck them on the inside to be the wand's core. He then wrapped some green and white pipe cleaners around the stick in a stripped pattern. This already looked horrible but he couldn't not put effort into it or she would scold him. After a few minutes of playing around in the decor, he produced an incredibly tacky looking wand that anyone would balk at choosing them. Lucia huffed at him and he couldn't help but laugh. @lina

Kara stepped up to the table and sat down, mostly surrounded by kids quite a bit younger than her. But hey, it looked fun! Maybe she could give her creation to Brandon and he could cherish it forever. She laughed at the thought, then got to work. She made a purple one, with blue stripes around it. When she got the chance she reached for the faux diamonds and picked a big one, glueing it to the bottom of the wand. Done! She lifted it up and assessed the work. Well, she did a rather good job, she thought! SUZIE

This was an abomination, and a disgrace to real wand-making. Aras didn't even know why he was here. Making a real wand didn't require obscene amounts of glue and glitter. It required a steady hand and infinite concentration and an intimate knowledge of wandlore. Aras had to keep his lip from pulling up in a sneer or his nose crinkling in disgust as he sat at the table, and watched people come and go, slapping various decorations onto their wands without a care in the world. Aras, though? He didn't do anything of the sort. He was as meticulous in making this fake wand as he was with making real ones. He wasn't sure why, since he intended on chucking the thing in the rubbish bin as soon as he got home, but... it seemed wrong to desecrate wands, even fake ones, in that manner. So, he sat at the workbench and carefully glued fake gemstones and beads up and down the side of the wand in glittering blue and bronze, to represent Ravenclaw colors. His wand looked much better than any of the ones that were on display, Aras thought to himself as he put on the finishing touches. He stood up when he was done, tucking the fake wand into his sleeve in the same manner he would normally would tuck his true wand, and departed quickly and quietly.
