[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] HEY YOU Wanna play fair? then come and face me [attr="class","itokaytext"]Thalia was feeling oddly out of place. She began to feel homesick and nothing was appeasing to her. She was trying hard to be not a cold hearted person, even if she was one sometimes. But the circumstances were not at all helping her, it seemed as though no one wanted to be around her, to comfort her. She might be a lost cause as her mother eloquently put it, but she still wanted to be the one girl who was doted upon, just like at home. She sighed and walked her way down the changing staircases. It was a hectic task for her to concentrate on the steps and keep track of all the trick steps when she has other things on her mind.
She was descending the steps leading to the third floor, and once again lost herself in thoughts which were becoming troublesome. The usually cautious girl, did not notice the trip wire at the end of the stairs. She was walking down and all of a sudden her robes caught on to some thing and in the most un-lady like fashion she stumbled forward. But thanks to her quick reflexes, she landed on all fours instead of falling face first or worse breaking bones. She thanked the lords for the training skills her father provided her in an attempt to get her to play quidditch as a kid.
Thalia began to get up from her position, that was when the trip wire caught her eyes. She huffed at the wire and thought 'a silly yet dangerous prank' she thought. She stood up and began to brush off the dust from her hands, and looked around trying to find the culprit. If she knew anything about pranksters, 'hell yeah she knew everything about them' as she was kind of similar and had the same thinkng. She knew that any prankster would stay back to try to see if their prank was a success or not . Looking around, she huffed a little as she was not able to spot anyone. But she was not one to give up, so instead in a voice of mockery she called out, "Is this your best?"

Phoebe bounced down the stairs on her way to Charms, having an unusually good day today. However, she stopped in her tracks when she saw a girl stumble forward down the steps. Phoebe rushed down to help her, whoever it was. After all, helping someone who was in trouble was such a great way to get them to trust you...
Phoebe only became more intrigued when the other shouted out "Is this your best?" to no one in particular. After she barely missed a trick step, Phoebe finally reached the other student. She realized from the other girl's robes that she was a Hufflepuff, and she realized right afterwards that the Hufflepuff was no one other than the daughter of Oliver Wood, Thalia. Ooh, Phoebe had always wanted a famous friend. "Are you okay? I saw you fall just a second ago," Phoebe asked, putting a healthy amount of genuine concern in her voice. She looked down at the steps and saw there was a trip wire, making her think that was probably the cause of the Hufflepuff's fall.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] Here's to you and I Raise 'em to the sky [attr="class","itokaytext"] When Thalia had heard footsteps from behind her, she turned around expecting to see her prankster, but turns out that it was someone who had came down to help her, or so that was what she attempted to do. But then again what was the proof that she was not the one to set this all up. And that got Thalia to be on her alert, because a person who had set up a trip wire on a moving staircase was either crazy or downright dangerous. And considering what the castle has seen over time, she would not be surprised if the person had turned to be of the latter type. But then again everyone deserve a chance of doubt, who knew that the raven who had came down to help her might not be the prankster after all.
When she asked if she was okay or not, Thalia gave a nod and said "I'm fine, just a bit shaken up"in all honesty that was her only reaction after that tumble. While that was not normal behavior, she was a student who lived through the last year and came out battle hardened and not to forget that she was rather good at dueling and half of that was about agility and precision. That made her for who she was. "Didn't see someone suspicious did you?"she asked her mind still not over the fact that she was put down and caught off-guard by something as silly as a trip wire.

When the Hufflepuff spun around to face her, Phoebe hoped the other didn't think she was the one who had set out the trip wire in the first place. While Phoebe had the ability to lie about a great many things, it was true that she was not the prankster who placed the trip wire on the moving staircases. In reality, she had just been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or, if everything went well for Phoebe, maybe the right place.
She nodded in understanding when the Hufflepuff said she was a bit shaken up. "No kidding. I'm not sure what kind of person is crazy enough to try and trip people on a moving staircase," Phoebe said. When asked if she had seen anyone suspicious, Phoebe shook her head with a sigh. "I'm afraid not. I'll keep an eye out, though," she responded. "Hey, are you headed to Charms? We can go together, if you want, to watch each other's backs. Or feet, in this case." She gave half a chuckle at her own comment before continuing. "I mean, I'm sure you don't need any help or anything, but I know sometimes it's nice to travel with a friend. Oh, I'm Phoebe, by the way," she added quickly. "I'm in fifth year." She smiled at the other girl as she held out her hand to shake.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] Don't let it go like this Maybe we can go from this [attr="class","itokaytext"] While Thalia was not the type to be all down to the books and rules when it comes to things like pranks, and such. She appreciates some pranks which would make people smile and laugh, but she sure as hell draws a line when it comes to this sort of things. She was very much worried at the mere possibility of thought, what if it was someone? She bent down and made sure to transfigure the wireinto a black ribbon with a flick of her wrist. When she successfully did banish it, she smiled to herself. They have been learning non-verbal casting since last year and by now she was able to do the basic spells in silent and a few high level one's. She had been working on them from a long time and to see it work made her feel delighted. She wrapped the ribbon round her hair and turned to the other girl upon hearing her voice. She wondered how much it would take for the Hogwarts gossip girls to spread this thing. While she was not branding the other girl as a gossiper, she swas sure that there were quite a number of people who had seen the incident. And she was the only one to walk to her and made sure that she was okay or not.
When she commented on who would set it up, Thalia all but scoffed and said "I have a pretty good idea"though she did not voice it out loud. No need to shout out the names and throw dirt on others. As she asked whether she was going to the charms class, Thalia shook her head and said "no, I am not. It's my free hour". And at he comment about looking at each other's back, Thalia smiled a bit and said "well if that's the case, i will join you seeing that I have no other prior obligatiosn to attend to". The brunette shook the hand and with a smile she answered back "pleased to meet you Phoebe, I'm Thalia, seventh year".

Phoebe watched with interest as Thalia used a nonverbal spell to transfigure the trip wire into a ribbon. While Phoebe didn't care much for school work, she was looking forward to learning nonverbal spells next year, if only because it was an effective way to conceal your intentions. When Thalia said she had a good idea who would set up such a prank, Phoebe asked with a tone of innocent curiosity, "Really? Who?"
Phoebe smiled back when Thalia agreed to go with Phoebe to Charms. She could see a possible friendship between the two of them already. "Nice to meet you," she replied, before setting off again down the moving staircase, being sure to watch her step as she did so. "So, Thalia, what kind of things do you like to do outside of school?" she asked as she walked. Phoebe knew people usually liked to talk about themselves, and that was quite alright with her. She could endure listening to people talk about their cats or their annoying teachers for hours and wear an interested look on her face the whole time if it meant getting someone to trust her.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] Don't let it go like this Maybe we can go from this [attr="class","itokaytext"] When the younger girl asked who she thought was responsible Thalia looked at her with a small smile and said "if I know that for sure, I wouldn't be standing here talking to you" and left it open for the order gyros imagination. There was no need to continue the sentence and let others know what she wants to do. There was no use to flash light upon herself unnecessarily all because she could not keep her opinions to herself. However she did add to it, "some you've year students who think they are the best pranksters or some offers who just want to hurt some one" she said shaking her head. Either of those sounded pretty much careless and dangerous to her.
While Thalia was used to people recognising her ass the daughter of the famous quidditch couple, she never was uses to this. Although there were a few who didn't react as such, and each time she found that it was great to be not known as their daughter. While she loved her parents, she did not appreciate the fact that none seem to try and get to know her. And this Thalia was very much surprised by the question, and with a small smile she spoke up "well, I do like to write and I enjoy singing" she said. And then she asked her with curiosity, "what about you Phoebe? What holds your interest?"
