[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] we put the bad in the past now we alright [attr="class","itokaytext"]One would have to agree that Madi was born to be in gryffindor. Though at times she doesn't fit in, sometimes one might feel the urge to point her out as the perfect fit in the House of lions. Her determination is downright scary and she is way too brave and stupid. Just the perfect gryffindor princess. After being in the magical hospital for over two months after her quidditch accident, during the holidays, one might gladly assume that a person would never go near a broom. But Madi is the living example to break that stereotype. No sooner was she declared as healthy, Madi went back to flying and soon she was playing quidditch as though nothing has ever happened. And it didn't help her happy attitude that she has a chance to become the captain of her house team next year, resulting in her being much more dedicated than before.
Madi knew that quidditch was one thing she excelled in, which was her passion and that lead her to the idea of becoming a quidditch player. She knew that she has the potential, she just had to achieve it. And that was what lead her to the quidditch pitch that particular day. She had some time to spare and she was not going to waste it. Ever since the tournament started no games were organised and she felt herself missing it more than even possible. Quickly grabbing her broom the dorm room, she made her way out onto the castle grounds and towards the pitch. It was a sunny day and not many students were out there. Well not everyone were freaky fanatics like her when it comes to the game.
Madi saw that there was some others in the air, and didn't pay much attention to who they were. She saw that a few first years were having their flying class and she could see that a few of the faces seemed to be filled with dread. Bad emotion she thought as she steered her broom towards him. Dread, fear and helplessness are the emotions one has to steer clear off all the time when on air. These only decrease the chances of a person who wants to stay safe She concentrated on her own work, and climbing over her broom she pushed herself off from the ground. The air whipped around her face, and Madi grinned as she circled round the field, increasing her altitude gradually. She always liked it, it felt as though she was a tornado, slowly getting higher and faster. And just as she was getting lost in the happiness, she observed the other person near to her in the air. It was Dominique Weasley, her friend from ravenclaw house. She gave a grin and called out to her, "Hey Domi, how's it going?"

Things were finally starting to look up for Dom. After her conversation in the Library, she seemed to have a better grip on herself, which was just ... a complete relief. Now she felt much more interested in doing things the way she'd always done them, with a distinct element of fun involved in everything. It was easier now for her to do her schoolwork and then go outside to relax, or find people to talk to inside. She was becoming much more like the bubbly Dom that she used to be, which she absolutely loved.
Some first years were having a flying class down below ... and Dom might have been showing off for them. She was doing spins and zooming from one end of the pitch to the other, with sharp turns and dives and the works. So far, it seemed like there were quite a few first years watching her ... but the professor hadn't noticed yet. That was just as well. Dom didn't want to get kicked out of the pitch. She paused for a moment, waving at the first years when she heard someone say her name. With the ease of one who flew all her life, Dom turned and faced the girl. It was Madi, a fellow Quidditch player, though she was on the Gryffindor team. Oh well, none of that mattered this year, what with the Tournament taking over Quidditch. She still thought that was a shame. The one year she got to be captain ... oh well. "It's good. I was just showing off a little for the first-years," she admitted with a grin. "How have you been? I haven't seen you in a while ..."

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] Life's only getting greater Straight up from nothing we go [attr="class","itokaytext"]As she saw what Dom was doing Madi just smiled and shook her head. Sometimes it brings out great fun to show-off when the others admire you and look at you in awe. And judging by the expressions on the first years faces, they seem to have quite a lot of fun and were watching wide-eyed at Dom as she zoomed across the pitch. She wondered what their reactions would be when they get to watch the quidditch game for real. Since she was born in a magical family, and learned how to fly even before she reached Hogwarts, Madi didn't feel that awed like her fellow first years. She had been to quite a number of quidditch games as a kid, and seeing them already she kind of missed some moments. The Triwizard tournament though was a good initiate, Madi felt that it was unfair for the rest of the students to just sit back and watch as three competed. And not having quidditch games was more than annoying for her. She loved the adrenaline rush the games brings to her, and this year there was no chance for it. May be she could talk to the other teams and convince them for some unofficial matches. The idea was worth a shot she thought. And she guessed that it would get positive response too.
As Domi spoke back to her, she grinned and said "of course you are and would you look at the way they are staring at you? They are in awe Dom" she spoke with amusement. Her eyes were filled with mirth as she too joined the show and did a double eight loop usually done by the keepers. But then again she was good at keeping rather than being a seeker and beater. Those two were never good for her, she just couldn't play in that positions. As Dom asked about her, Madi grinned and said "I have been fine, a little bored. But I will survive" she said with a grin. And looking at the other girl with a sly grin, she asked "say Dom, would you be interested in a game of tag on air?" As there were only two of them, and since neither of them play in the same position they couldn't play real quidditch. But a game of tag was all about speed and maneuvering their broom and enjoy to with no limits. Yeah, a little better idea than casually flying around.

Dom started to laugh when Madi approached her, saying that the first years were in awe. No doubt any onlookers would think Dom was very arrogant and only wanted to impress people, but that wasn't her style ... most of the time. Alright, so right now she was definitely showing off for the kids. She had to give the something to look forward to, didn't she? Watching someone move so easily in the air would surely be inspirational for some of them that had never been on a broom before. "I know Madi, I just have that effect on people. They can't take their eyes off of me," she flipped her hair and then laughed, obviously not meaning what she said. Though ... due to her Veela Charm that very well might have been true. She wasn't going to bring that up though.
Dom's mouth fell open when her friend said she was bored. "You're bored! Why didn't you come find me? We can't have you being bored!" Really though, Dom thought boredom was the worst thing on the planet. She didn't understand how some people could sit around and do nothing all day. She would die. "Of course I'm interested!" She glanced down at the first years again. "Besides, if we're playing air tag, it won't be so obvious that we're trying to impress the first years," she whispered conspiratorially, winking at her friend. "Do you want to start or do you want me to?" She asked with a shrug, already prepared to start. Dom loved games like this.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] Straight up from nothing we go Higher than the highest skyscraper [attr="class","itokaytext"] "Of course you are,"said Madi grinning at the other girl's comment. What with her blazing red hair and pale skin, people find themselves looking at her, a lot.But looks aside, Dom is a breath of fresh air, she is lively and very much similar to the blonde witch herself. Both of them were eerily similar at times, and that was prove only moments later when Dom reacted to her being bored. See, that's what she was talking about. Madi herself hated boredom and would find things to keep her occupied. Now-a-days, she was running out of them after all, there are only as many things in the world that could hold the attention of Madison Roberts. In reply to Dom, she spoke up "oh well, I would have but I heard from a bird that you were busy yourself". She didn't know what it was but being Madison, she has to cover up She can't have people think that she was slacking behind.
As Dom agreed to the game, Madi grinned and said "well then, let the game begin". It would be nice for her to enjoy on her broom rather than flyng around in endless circles. And since there was no quidditch that year, no thanks to the tournament, Madi missed the game more and more if that was even possible. Looking at Dom, she spoke again, "I will be the 'it' first and count down from 10 before I start. Let's stick to the quidditch pitch and not go beyond it". Even as she said it, Madi knew that the pitch was no small area and playing a game of tag would be very interesting. As Dom whispered to her, Madi couldn't help but grin and said "and that too. No one will ever know and these kids would get a first hand knowledge of how to fly".
Madi readied her broom and looking at Dom, she smiled and said "let's get started, shall we?" Tying her hair back into a ponytail, Madi grinned at the other witch and said "and now I start, 10 .... 9... 8... " counting down, giving Dom enough time to move away for the game.

Dom made a face at her friend when her excuse for not coming to Dom was hearing that she was busy. She shook her head and pretended to glare at the girl, waving away her concern. "That doesn't matter. I always have time for fun! You of all people should know that by now, Madi." Really though, being busy was no excuse. Homework could always be done at a different time and if she was busy doing things with other people ... the more the merrier!
Dom nodded, her excitement rising as Madi started explaining the rules of the game. "Sounds good. You first, stay in the pitch." This was definitely going to be fun. Dom loved showing off and doing new things. She didn't think she'd ever played tag on brooms before, so it was definitely new. She laughed when Madi agreed with her plan to show off for the first years.
Madi said she was going to start and started counting down from 10. Dom waited until she hit 5 before she shot away from the other girl to the opposite side of the pitch. The logistics of this game were going to depend largely on how well she could dodge and dive and possibly do fancy tricks on her broom. Dom could hardly hold her anticipation in. Once she reached the spot she wanted to be in, she turned to face Madi head on, waiting for the girl to hit 0 and come after her. This was going to be a blast!

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] We're building an empire We owe it all to each other [attr="class","itokaytext"]While others might feel offended at the way Dominique spoke, if there was one person who would not feel such a way among others was Madison. She knew where the redhead was coming from. And Madi was similar to her in that very aspect of personality. "Right, my bad" said Madi as she held up her hands in mock surrender. It was good to have one other person in this castle who happens to share her idea of living. As Dom agreed to her idea of tag on brooms, Madi grinned. This was going to be super fun she thought with a smirk. Madi played this game a lot of times with her cousins but never at school. She has enough of quidditch practice here, to keep her adrenaline high.
Madison started counting down and waited for the witch to zoom off. But it would seem that Dom has developed a strategy in thie mean time, tease the it. That strategy was not something Madi liked especially when she was the 'it' player. She watched on as Dom flew towards the other end of the pitch, and Madi counted down, and shouted "ONE,.... ZERO... I'm coming" and the moment the words left from her mouth, Madi urged her broom forward in the direction of Dom. She was only a few feet away from the redhead. 'Oops, did I not mention that I was quite good at the game of tag on air', thought Madi with a smirk worthy of a slytherin. She was only mere seconds from reaching Dom and wondered if she would be able to start the tag game with a win by tagging Dom on the very first attempt. But then again, she knew it would be over expecting considering that the other player was also on the quidditch team and a beater. Let's see who wins thought Madi.

Dom was glad that Madi seemed to understand her. The girl didn't mind Dom's craziness and her desire to just have fun. The two of them were kindred spirits, much like Dom and Lily were kindred spirit-cousins. Being bored was ridiculous when you could always find something to do with yourself. Dom watched Madi as she finished her counting and then shot off toward Dom, who was ready for this. Right before the Gryffindor girl could touch her, Dom urged her broom to drop straight down a few feet, then shot up into the air, rolling her broom and spinning with a mad laugh escaping her as she did so. This was going to be fabulous! As her broom sped upward she turned to look behind her for Madi, wanting to make sure she wasn't about to get tagged. She had plenty of space and did a quick loop-the-loop, just because she could, going in circles above the pitch as she waited for her friend. "Is that the best you've got, Madi?" she taunted with another laugh. Madi was a good flier, and Dom knew this wasn't going to be easy, but she couldn't help herself. She liked to tease people and Madi knew that. Hopefully she wouldn't get offended. @kyles1 (hehe weeeeeeeell Dom is extremely competitive. So if she's losing she won't stop ... we could have them draw or make her lose, which would be hilarious I'm really good with whatever)

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] I put my heart into this game like I opened my chest [attr="class","itokaytext"]Madison knew a few things about life for sure, and they were enjoying, enjoying and more enjoying. That was her definition of life. While one might argue that she was being childish, considering the various things which were happening round her. but was she really being childish? No, she was trying to live her life. Even when everything around her was going to fall into the darkness, she wants to be the beacon which is not effected by it. Wow that was a lot philosophical than she intended it to be. But yeah, that was her way of living.
As she watched, Madison quickly knew that the beater was able to grasp the game quite quickly. She saw her dive down and Madi huffed out, well if she was going to show-off, why couldn't Madison. And so, following Dom, Madi too urged her broom down and took a drop all of a sudden. And though she can pull the wronski feint easily, she decided not to go that down, and instead she did an infinity with her broom and whooped in joy when she pulled it off. She tried again to follow the redhead who was zooming away too fast, not that Madi was slow by any means. As she heard Dom's taunts, Madi shouted back "the game has just started for me Weasley, watch out" as she decided on the reverse strategy she always used when feinting a throw as a chaser. She has to just let Dom believe that she was going to catch her from the front. Yeah the collision technique can be quite interesting too. Shaking her mind from all those thoughts, and instead she urged her broom faster towards where Dom is headed to.
TAG: @dominique NOTES: we can have each of them catch the other once and call it a draw later on!!! both are rather proud beings [newclass=.itokaytext]font-size:12px;width:430px;padding:15px;background-color:white;color:gray;text-align:justify;font-family:Playfair Display;[/newclass][newclass=.itokaytext b]color:#3d7a7a;[/newclass][newclass=.itokaytext i]color: #21ccbb;[/newclass]

This idea of Madi's was absolutely fabulous! Dom was beyond excited as she zoomed around the pitch, spinning and diving as she tried to avoid her friend. The fact that there were onlookers only spurred her to do crazier things, naturally. Then again, Dom was already for the crazy. As long as she was having fun, she would absolutely take advantage of whatever situation came her way. She laughed at Madi's retort, glancing over her shoulder to check and see where her friend was.
But Madi wasn't behind her. Instantly suspicious, Dom looked around the pitch, grinning when she saw that they were on a collision course. Most people, upon noticing such a thing, would change their direction or tactic, but this felt like a challenge to the beater. She urged her broom faster and faster, trying to beat Madi to the place where they were originally supposed to collide, her plan being to get there and pass it before Madi did, thus ruining her plan. Now she was going too fast to turn her head and look at where her friend was. Dom needed to focus on where she was headed. As she neared the spot where they were originally supposed to collide, Dom prepared herself, planning on pulling up a few moments after passing the area. She couldn't help herself.
@kyles1 (Sounds great to me! Haha you can have Madi catch her here or later. I'm good either way)

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] life's only getting greater Straight up from nothing we go [attr="class","itokaytext"] Madi had to roll her eyes at the way Dom was. The girl was practically looping and doing a ballet up in the air. And if Madi concentrated enough, over the howling wind in her years, she could hear the excited shots coming from below. Must be the first years she thought with a smirk. They were just soo full of kindness and an aim to do the right thing, that was why Madi and Dom decided that the younger students need to know more about flying. While they were only being taught the basics, she knew that by looking at the two witches they would be motivated to learn fast and learn more. And who knows, one of them actually might turn out to a be a good quidditch player.
Madi thought she had succeeded in confusing the redhead, but luck wasn't on her side for a very long time as she was spotted soon enough. And then Dom did something which would most likely be noted as either the best or the crazy tactic ever. Madi could see that Dom was trying to up her by reaching their meeting points before her, thereby preventing the crossing itself. But Madi on the other hand had one more trick up her sleeve. She saw Dom urge her broom faster and the blonde then did something she often did at games as a chaser, the sloth grip roll. She urged her broom high up in the air, such that the she was a few feet above the actual place of collision. And then she rolled around, hanging on with one hand instead of two, as she tried to tag the blonde.

Like Madi, Dom could hear the cheers and the ooh's and ahh's from the first years below and it spurred her to be even more ridiculous on her broom. She couldn't help it. There were times when she loved showing off, and what was a better time than this? There were no balls in the air, it was just two girls flying around and trying to catch one another. The situation practically begged for fancy flying and who was Dom to reject that kind of need? Madi was good. Dom knew that from the very start, but she didn't expect the girl to be so fast. She hadn't been watching her as her broom went faster than she think she'd ever flown it before. Then, she heard gasps beneath her right as she was about to hit the collision spot. Well that wasn't good news. Dom thought quickly and, with a slight touch of encouragement from her, her broom stopped dead in the air. It took Dom a second to catch her bearings after such a quick stop, but before she could look around for the blonde, she instinctively ducked. She looked up to see Madi flying by, using the sloth grip roll. Dom grinned at her. "Nice try," she said, zooming close to the girl, but not close enough to be tagged. "Come on, we need to give these guys a show." She encouraged her friend before shooting off in a new direction. @kyles1 (I was planning on letting Madi touch her then, but Dom wouldn't let me! Next time)

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] Though I try to resist I still want it all [attr="class","itokaytext"]Dammit, thought Madison. She almost had Dominique. Mother of Merlin, was she ever going to tag the redhead or would this game be a never ending one. it would be, considering that Madi hates when she doesn't know the result. Be it win or be in lose, she needs to know it. And now, she was wondering if there would be an outcome or not. The two girls were quite fast and skilled even. But Madi knew that she almost had it. Almost. That was not going to make her feel happy. But then again it all happened soo fast, that Madison could not understand it at all. One moment she saw Dominique stop all of a sudden and she was right below her. And when Madi tried to tag her, poof Dom ducked as though she expected it. And as Madi was upside down she couldn't even lower herself without risking the fall. And so she let Dom fly away not before shouting to the redhead not going to be lucky next time".
Madison gripped her broom steadily and then righted herself up. She then decided to change tactics this time. But first she needs to gain some speed and as such she urged her broom faster and towards the goal posts. By the time she reached it, she gathered up quite a bit of speed and as such, she looped round the goal posts and then she watched out to where Dom was at.

Dom was having the time of her life! She loved having an excuse to play around and do all sorts of fancy maneuvers. Out of all the changes that happened this year, losing Quidditch was the one that made her the saddest. Dom missed her favorite sport and while playing tag wasn't exactly the same, it was still fun. She was proud of herself for avoiding Madi's attempt to tag her. Granted, it wasn't until Dom was zipping away that she realized what it was. Merlin's beard, that girl could fly.
Dom turned to look for the Gryffindor, wanting to keep an eye on her. She saw Maxi speeding across the pitch toward some goalposts, whiplash around them and come flying right at Dom. Dom was scared of flying away and decided to play chicken with Madi. She sped off towards the Gryffindor, aiming right for her as she wondered what the girl would do. Would she try to tag Dom, dodge her or do something else entirely?

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] We're building an empire We owe it all to each othe [attr="class","itokaytext"] Madison knew she was good on broom and as such loved to show-off. Being in the quidditch team also boosted her ego a little too much, and she often tries out different types of rolls and flying tricks. And being a chaser, she used a few of them quite often during her games. All those tricks and rolls would give her a leverage over her opponent. And quiditch was something Madi always took seriously, no matter whom she is against. But not to the extremes of course. it was just a game in the end. She would like to win of course, but not at the expense of others.
As Madi looped round the hoops, she gained enough speed to chase down Dominique. Once again she was surprised by the way Dom acted. may be it was something of a beater instinct or such. For even this time, the redhead decided to opt for a collision course. If she was interested in that, Madi would give her just that. But what Dom would not know was that she would lower herself down just in the nick of the moment by reversing herself on the broom. And as such, mAdi did not even flinch as she sped right at Dom.
