[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"] Carnival.. There is no place better than this for Madison. It is the best place to enjoy herself and for a moment forget everything going on in her life. Well, at least she hoped she could. As she walked through the carnivals, tokens in hand she smiled and waved to a few friendly faces. The hing was she was alone that day, her cousins have gone with their friends and her brothers were not there to accompany her. And since she could't find most of her friends, Madi kind of assumed that they too had someone to go along with. As she walked round in her pink floral dress. It was a nice day to be outside and she did spot a cotton candy seller, and immediately she brightened up and got herself a cotton candy a big, pink and fluffy one. The cotton candy in hand, Madi looked around the stalls and games all the while eating it and making sure that the sugary candy wouldn't get stuck on her face or hair or dress like it did when she was a kid. Grinning to herself, she looked at the games and said out loud without even meaning to, "I want to play them all." And it would seem that her voice did attract quite an audience and among them was someone she recognized from school. Madi did not know whether she should be embarrassed or run away, instead she just stay rooted in her spot with the candy clutched in her hand. Eliza had a handful of tokens she didn't know what to do with, but when she'd heard there was a carnival, she'd simply had to go see it. And it was quite the sight - rows upon rows of games, food stalls with cotton candy and popcorn and pretzels and mini donuts coated in cinnamon sugar, and beyond that, several rides, including a towering ferris wheel that she would definitely ride later.
She was taking it all in when someone declared that she wanted to play them all - which would be difficult with the handful of tokens provided - and Eliza turned to find Madison Roberts with a hand full of bright pink cotton candy and a grin. Eliza barely knew the other girl - she played Quidditch, that was enough to know her name - but she looked so happy that Eliza felt her own smile grow. "You look like you're having fun," she said brightly.

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"] And the familiar face turned out to be a slytherin girl in the year above her, and Madi wondered what the other would have to say. There were only a handful of the lot who are good enough to talk to, the rest all behave as though they rule the whole school and everyone is below them. And considering that her mother is a muggle, it gives them a lot more reason to look down on her. As she waited for the obvious comment or the usual sneer, Madi was met with a surprise. The other girl whom she recognized as Elizabeth Flint, actually smiled. A slytherin smiled, wow this day was getting more better now. She always thought that those guys try their best to keep their emotions hidden and to actually see one grin was surprising. Well that was not shown on her face though, as the last thing Madi wanted was for the other girl to walk away. She could use some company after all. [break][break] As the girl spoke to her, Madi gave a nod and with a smile she answered back "uh, I am going to have fun if I can at least try half of these games here"as she pointed to the stalls which were there. She looked at the girl and asked "what about you? Are you having fun?" She then remembered a small detail about the other girl, she was the reporter for the school newspaper, so she asked her "or are you here to collect information about the carnival to publish in the newspaper?" Well, if the other girl was indeed working, then she would try and minimize the amount of talking she odes, and may be help her out in pointing things which would be interesting. If she is not, well Madi would get a chance to know another slytherin all thanks to the carnival. She then proceeded to ask, "so you here with someone? If not may be we could go together?" she asked simultaneously. Well, Madison was like that, a total chatterbox who could go on and on. Be it talking or hounding the others with questions or just bugging them with her useless talks. Well the last one was usually reserved to those who find her annoying. She just makes them more irritated than they already are.

Madison said she would have fun if she played at least half of the games there. It was a lot of games, and Eliza hadn't really intended on playing any. She had been planning on just taking a look around, but with tokens in hand and this sort of joyous atmosphere, she was starting to think she would try her hand at them.
So she was completely honest when Madison asked if she was working on stuff for the newspaper. "I wasn't even thinking of the newspaper - I was was just curious. It's incredible." It wasn't exactly the kind of place she'd been encouraged to go to as a child, and it was a bit overwhelming, and a bit awe-inspiring. "If you're wandering, I'll join you," she said with a bit of a smile, and bit of gratitude too - company would make it a little less daunting.

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"] Even as Madison said, she knew that it would be practically impossible to complete them all in one da. May be she would return here another day? or maybe she could drag a few friends the next time she comes here. It would be pretty boring without someone to hang around with, and Madi kind of realized it soon after she came here. But thank her lucky stars, she got some decent company in the form of a slytherin. Never before was Madi comfortable in talking to them, but this one didn't seem so bad to her. Well, she would reserve the judgement for a later time.
As Elizabeth replied back, Madi nodded her head and said "yeah, this place is great."And there was no point to disagree too, this place was good. The whole village seemed to have been given a makeover in her opinion. The usually dingy pubs, the old dusty shops were all shining bright now. It was a sight to behold, the place was al lined up and decorated with baubles and it looked like Christmas came early without the snow of course. And it would seem that the other girl was going to join her company after all. With a smile, she spoke "very well then, let's go around together" as she began to make her way forward. She took the cotton candy in her hand and offering it to the other she said "want some?"

As they headed out together, Eliza decided that chatting about the carnival was probably the best course of action. "I've seen some games, of course, and the food stalls, but I haven't seen any rides besides the ferris wheel yet. Have you, or is it just the one?" Even if it was just one, well, the view from the top would be lovely. Eliza suspected you could see the castle from there, and that'd be quite the sight. They were heading in roughly that direction through the fair - maybe Madison would join her.
Madison offered her a bit of her cotton candy, and Eliza smiled gratefully. "I'd love some, thank you," Eliza replied, pulling off a small piece of the fluffy sugar treat, and eating it a pinch at a time, allowing the sugar to melt in her mouth until it was chewy and dyed the inside of her mouth delightfully pink.

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]As Elizabeth mentioned the ferris wheel, Madison nodded and said "yeah I too noticed it, but then again it is a bit difficult to miss it out what with it looking like that" as she pointed towards it. As the other girl mentioned what she has seen Madison nodded, that was pretty much the same what she herself has seen till that point. "I haven't seen any till this point"she said in response to her question. And then added "how about we try the ferris wheel?I heard that we could see the castle, even if we cannot I'm sure that it would be nice to see it from that perspective"hoping that the other witch would accept her offer. Even if she denied it, it would not be a problem, for Madison always would get what she wanted, one way or another or in this case, one time or aother. She would probably drag someone else tomorrow just so that sh can get a ride up the ferris wheel. [break][break] Madison smiled when the other girl accepted her candy. May be all slytherins weren't so bad as they are painted as. But then again there were a few who were the typical slytherins, all dark and mysterious and cunning, and there seem to be some who are just ambitious and not sadistic like others. And this witch seemed to be from the second type, and Madi hoped that she was true. The last thing she wanted was to be alone with the wrong lot.

"I would have thought there must be more rides, but I am more than happy to just join you on the ferris wheel. If we could see the castle, that'll be even better." As Madison said, just looking down on Hogsmeade and the fair would be pretty impressive, but she did hope they could see Hogwarts.
They had to weave their way past a few queues for games and food, but it was easy enough for Elizabeth to also focus on holding a conversation. "So you play Quidditch, right? How are you feeling with the Tournament taking all the attention this year? I know my sister's missing it."

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]Madison grinned when the other girl accepted her idea. Well, it was great that they would be on the ferris wheel as she walked towards it. When Elizabeth asked if she playes quidditch, Madi nodded and said "yeah i do play, chaser for the team". Madison has always liked it when people recognise for her being on the quidditch team. She was someone who was aspiring to go pro and she liked the attention all the same. When the other girl mentioned sisster, Madi tried to remember another Flint girl and was instanlty met with a match, her sister Dusti was the captain of the quidditch team. "Yeah it is quite orning without the game, while the tournament is all fun and show, I miss quidditch games. Wonder why they thought to cancel the games?? Besides it wouldve been so fun if the visiting teams also joined in for the games" she said with a hopeful smile When it comes to quidditch, every hought she has seems plausible in her mind [attr="class","iconieno"] [attr="class","tagsieno"]@elizabeth [newclass=.biggieno]margin-left:-300px;[/newclass][newclass=.textieno]margin-top:-425px;margin-bottom:150px;width:300px;height:400px;padding:10px;background-color:#fff;border:solid 1px #b7b7b7;color:#939393;text-align:justify;overflow:auto;margin-left:610px;font:11px calibri;[/newclass][newclass=.textieno::-webkit-scrollbar]width:10px;background:#fff;[/newclass][newclass=.textieno::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background:#b7b7b7;border:2px solid #fff;[/newclass][newclass=.iconieno]margin-top:-240px;margin-left:-220px;margin-bottom:50px;[/newclass][newclass=.tagsieno]font:11px calibri;color:#b7b7b7;margin-top:-75px;margin-left:-75px;margin-bottom:40px;[/newclass]

As they walked towards the ferris wheel, Madi agreed that she was missing Quidditch. "I think there's just a lot of crowds and events and it's probably a lot of work for the staff. But Quidditch with some of the students from other schools would be a good bridge-builder." People liked Quidditch, and Eliza was certain that if they'd had Quidditch, the stands would be full of cheering and energy, even if there were also Tournament Tasks. "It seems a bit unfortunate for all the students who want to go pro to miss out on a year." Not that that would stop them, but it certainly was less practice and less time to get scouted.
It hadn't been long, but they'd reached the ferris wheel, and Eliza gestured to the queue with a smile. "Shall we?"

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]As Lizzie mentioned about the staff, Madi found herself feeling a bit guilty of not thinking about them. She was soo much lost in her own thoughts and world, that she forgot just how much work was being done by them and to be honest not much were appreciative of their efforts including herself. May be she should grumble and complain less about not having quidditch, at least on the outer side. She can think all she wants after all, for they have the freedom to think and her brain's a mess when it comes to thinking, for at times Madison overthinks which leads her to explode at times, not physically of course. But that often leads her to become emotionally unstable and every emotion she feels will be ten times the usual, be it her excitement or her anger. And considering her, neither is a good option. "I was being a bit selfish to want quidditch on top of everything else"she said with a sheepish smile. [break][break] As Elizabeth mentioned that the games would be good to build the school unity, Madi found herself agreeing.Seeing as she had only talked with a few students, of whom many were a bit reclusive, and that did not end well with Madi's attitude. And the idea of having a chance to mingle with all the students sounded rather appealing to her and considering that it was over quidditch, she knew it would work on rather well. But then again, she was just being a bit too much of a quidditch freak. When she mentioned about the students wanting to go pro, Madi found herself feeling bad for them. "Yeah I totally do not know what I would've done if I was in my seventh year now" and she was being absolutely and truly honest. For someone who was aiming ot go pro after her school, without the chances of scouting it would be a much longer path for them to take on to be selected as players or reserves for the teams. [break][break] And before they knew it, the duo were at the Ferris wheel and when Elizabeth gestured, Madi smiled and said "yes of course" and stepped into the line. Luckily it was not much big and they would be seated this time if she did her math right. Looking at the elder girl she asked "what are you aiming to be after graduation?"She knew that the girl was quite a good writer, which was a dead give away if anyone read the Hogwarts paper. But that might be just a hobby and that girl might have a hidden skill rolled up in her sleeves which Madi did not know of.
