Kinsey was sitting down at the Ravenclaw table early. Lunch just started a few minutes ago so not too many people had arrived yet, which was definitely a good thing for her nerves. Large groups of people just were not good for her. Still, she was planning to stay today until she saw her little sister, Penelope. The girl was one of the triplets, really sweet, and Kinsey just wanted to talk with her, since it seemed like ages since they last interacted. More and more people entered the Great Hall and the place got louder as they laughed and joked around with one another. Kinsey was relieved that the people nearest to her were all chattering happily with one another. They were wrapped up in their conversations, and she didn't sense anything negative from them, which made life so much easier for her. Finally, she saw what she was waiting for and approached the Hufflepuff table. "Hey Sis," she said cheerfully. "How are you doing this fine day?"penelope raisa bainbridge

Lunch time, finally! Penelope loved lunch time, it meant that school was halfway over. But before lunch she had Transfigurations. It was one of the classes she actually tried hard at. She was determined to become an Animagi like her brother. She had stayed late to talk to the professor about training and what she had to do to fulfill her dream. After some short instruction, she walked to the great hall with one of her friends. And, just like every day, Penelope entered the great hall and walked right up to the Hufflepuff table and sat down. She was immediately greeted by some more friends who had gone to lunch ahead of her. She was just about to grab some food, when she heard someone addressing her from behind. The voice said “sis” which meant that it had to be one of her sisters. She knew it wasn’t one of her triplet sisters, because she seemed to usually have a sense about those things. She turned and saw her older sister Kinsey. With a smile she stood up. ”Hey Kins. I’m doing good, now that classes are almost over. How are you?” @kinsey

Kinsey smiled when her sister turned around and then stood up. "You don't have to stand, Nelly. I can just join you here," she suggested, ignoring the positive and negative vibes she was getting from the people around. She could stand the Great Hall in order to have a chat with her sister. It couldn't be that hard, could it? Really, Kinsey didn't know. She hadn't even tried the Great Hall in the middle of a meal for the longest time. "I'm good, don't really have anything major to report. I was just eating and realized that we haven't talked in a while so I thought I'd come see how you're doing." Really, Kinsey didn't know what else to say about it. She just felt like she should talk to Penelope, she didn't know why. That's what sisters were for, wasn't it? She then shrugged. "If your busy we can always talk later though." It hadn't even occurred to Kinsey that her sister might be having fun with her friends during lunch. She wasn't quite familiar with the social aspect that eating in the Great Hall normally brought. penelope raisa bainbridge

”Yea, please do.” She sat back down, leaving room for her sister. ”How are you feeling?” she asked her sister, knowing that her sister had a hard time around a lot of people, she worried about her. It had been quite a while since she had spent time with her sister. ”That's so nice, thanks for thinking of me.” Penelope shook her head. She was never too busy for her sister ”I'm never too busy for family Kins.” Penelope sat with her sister at the Hufflepuff table ”guys, this is my sister Kinsey.” she quickly introduced her sister with her friends.

Kinsey smiled at her sister when she gave her a spot to sit down. "I'm doing alright," Kinsey answered honestly. She smiled when her sister asked, knowing that she was probably concerned. With good reason. Normally Kinsey didn't spend her time with large groups of people, preferring solitude and the company of people she trusted. She smiled when her sister said she was being nice. "I always think of you,"
she told Penelope easily. Though she didn't always get along with all of her sisters, she got along with Penelope quite well. She nodded as Penelope introduced her to her friends, trying to seem nice to them. "Nice to meet you all." Then she turned back to her sister. "Hey, so what are you planning on doing today?" she asked softly. penelope raisa bainbridge

Penelope was glad that her sister was doing alright. She loved her siblings, and didn’t want anything bad to happen to them. She mostly worried about Kinsey, she knew that she had a hard time with big groups of people. She smiled wider when her sister said that she was always thinking of her. Penelope felt like she had good relationships with all her siblings, and while some sisters were authoritative, like Cara, Kinsey and her got along really good.
Penelope thought about the rest of the day. She hadn’t thought about that much. She did have school work that needed to get done. ”After classes I thought I would go up to the music room. I’ve been playing around more on my violin, and I think it’s starting to sound pretty cool.” Ever since her musical fun with Brandon, the Durmstrang student, Penelope had been playing around more with her strings. It wa fun, and she felt like it was sounding pretty good. But she was the only one hearing it, as far as she knew. ”What about you?”

Penelope really was such a sweetheart and Kinsey wished she were able to spend more time work her sister. However, the way things were with them being in different houses and years ... they rarely saw one another. Besides that, Penelope was busy studying for her OWLS this year and Kinsey didn't want to stress her out by demanding lots of sister time. So she room moments like this. Penelope said that she wanted to go to the music room after classes to practice and play a bit and Kinsey smiled at her. "Would you mind if I came by and listened to you for a bit?" Kinsey loved music, but she wasn't particularly gifted with it. So she loved to listen to her sister play. penelope raisa bainbridge

Penelope really wished that she saw her sisters more often. She saw her triplets all the time, that was because the roomed together. But her other sisters, well they were in different houses, and their dorms were practically on other sides of the castle. So it was hard to have “sister time” when classes are so demanding, along with having different interests, and being different years made it harder too. Being a fifth year, Penelope did have OWLS as well. She was studying, meaning, she was trying to study. It was just so hard. And her violin called to her every time she opened a book to study. She had to play it. Well, that was an excuse. She really didn’t want to study. Luckily she there were study groups in her dorm room that helped her get some information cemented down.
Penelope shook her head when Kinsey offered to come along and listen. ”Nope, that’s fine. It’s usually nice and quiet too.” She said, trying to reassure her sister, who couldn’t stand large groups of people. Penelope liked to play and she had some new music that she had been practicing with. Maybe she could play around with it and see what Kinsey thought of it.

Kinsey's smile widened when her sister said that she could join her. Really, her relationships with all her sisters weren't bad. She got along with Penelope just fine ... when she saw the girl. The two had such differing schedules that running into one another really didn't happen unless they specifically made plans to meet or if one of them searched the other out, much like Kinsey did that morning. Her sister mentioned that it would be fine and that her practicing area was normally nice and quiet and Kinsey nodded. "Thanks Nelly," she said softly. It meant a lot to her that her sister would take into account the fact that Kinsey didn't like large groups of people. "Do you want to go now or are you still hungry a bit?" Kinsey wanted to go. More and more people were entering the Great Hall and she was starting to feel a bit overwhelmed by all the intentions surrounding her, but she was trying to be patient and wait like any normal person was. She didn't want Nelly to go hungry because of her. penelope raisa bainbridge

Penelope loved to spend time with her sisters. Some more than others. She got along pretty well with Kinsey, at least she thought so. Penelope just smiled at her sister when she was thanked. She always wanted her to feel comfortable and happy, same with all her siblings. When Kinsey asked if she would be alright with leaving now she nodded again. ”No, I’m good. Let's go.” She knew that her violin was still up in the music room from orchestra practice, so they wouldn’t need to go down to the basement, only to climb up to the fifth floor. She stood up and said bye to her friends. She would catch up with them later. She spent all her time with them, she lived with some of them, and the others she had classes with almost every day. ”Shall we Kins?”

It was such a relief to Kinsey when Penelope said she wanted to go. Thank goodness! She was trying really hard to hide her emotions and felt like she was doing a pretty good job, but she didn't want to cause a problem by fainting here or something equally dramatic. Kinsey hated being dramatic. Or noticed. She smiled and nodded when her sister answered her, getting up and telling her friends she was leaving. "Yes, let's go," Kinsey responded, leading the way out of the Great Hall. She wasn't running, per say, but she was walking very quickly. Hopefully she wouldn't lose Nelly ... but if she did she'd have to find her sister in the Entrance Hall. Once they were out of the Great Hall and somewhere a little more calm, she turned to her sister. "Where do we need to go now?" she asked softly. Down to the Hufflepuff Common Room, or did Penelope leave her violin somewhere else? penelope raisa bainbridge

Penelope knew that Kinsey would be relieved when she said that they could go. As time passed, the more people came in. Penelope knew that crowded areas and big groups were difficult for her sister. Penelope appreciated how she was trying to stay to spend time with her. The least she could do for her sister, would be to leave lunch a little early so they can spend some time in a quiet place. Penelope got up and said goodbye to her friends and smiled at her sister and she spoke. ”Lets.” She followed her eager sister out of the Great Hall. Penelope was quick on her feet and kept up pretty well, though she did get a little behind, but she knew where her sister was going. In the Entrance Hall, Penelope caught up with her sister and smiled. ”This way.” She motioned to the way to the moving staircase. They had to go up to the fifth floor. ”I knew I’d be going back up today, so I just left my Violin up there this morning.”
The girls made their way up to the fifth floor, and Penelope led her sister to the music room. This was a room that she could walk to in her sleep. She then opened the door to the empty classroom for her sister.

Standing in the Entrance Hall, Kinsey felt like she could breathe again. It was such a relief to not have so many differing intentions pressing on her mind and she couldn't help but smile at the sense of freedom she felt now. She walked with Penelope as the girl gestured that they needed to go up to the moving staircase. She nodded at her sister's explanation. "Sounds good to me," she said cheerfully. "When did you get to play before lunch?" Kinsey asked, unable to keep the curiosity out of her voice. She followed her sister to the music room and followed her in. "Alright, what are you going to play for me?" Kinsey grinned and sat down on a nearby chair. She really should spend more time with Nelly. The two got along quite well together, they just normally didn't get much of a chance to interact. Probably because Kinsey hid away from most people. penelope raisa bainbridge

Penelope could just about see the relief from her sister as she rushed out of the entrance hall. Normally, she wouldn’t leave her violin anywhere, and Kinsey seemed to know that. Penelope’s violin was her treasure, her baby. ”The orchestra had practice this morning. I knew I’d come back up, so I decided that I could just leave it there.” She smiled at her sister. ”I thought it would save time, leaving them there.” The girls got to the music room, and Penelope made a V line directly to her violin. Pulling it out, she cradled it in one arm, and pulled the bow out with the other. ”I just picked up some fun fiddle music that I thought I’d try out.” She pulled out some folden sheet music and set it on a stand in front of her sister. ”Just remember, that I haven't had much time to practice it.” She then placed the violin under her chin, and began to play the music below tempo and from sight, but after playing one line, she went back to play it one more time, at the proper temp which was fun and fast.

Kinsey smiled back as Penelope explained that her violin was out because of practice this morning. "I guess that makes sense. How much often does the orchestra meet?" she asked curiously. Kinsey didn't actually know much about orchestra. She might as well ask about it now, while she was walking around with her sister. They arrived and Kinsey watched as Penelope pulled out her violin lovingly. It was so ... interesting to watch her with her instrument. Kinsey felt that way about Scuttle, but not much else. She grinned as her sister pulled out some music. "I don't care if it's not perfect," Kinsey insisted. "Honestly, I probably won't be able to tell if you make any mistakes." Kinsey sat down to listen, closing her ideas and listening carefully as her sister played the song slowly at first and then quickly. Once she was done, Kinsey clapped enthusiastically. "That sounded great, Nelly!" penelope raisa bainbridge
