Imogen didn't react to anything he said about his parents thinking he had been a good enough child nor about her lack of knowledge of parenting. He could only think that her insistence had to come from more than just her teaching experience. She must have been a problem to her own parents, especially considering how stubborn she was coming off. If she had been this way as a child, he could see her parents having a difficult time with her. He didn't say as much though; he didn't want to continuing going in circles about it. He suddenly hoped that any of the professors at Beauxbatons didn't hold his child in the same regard, as someone who would eventually be a problem. He also hoped that Lucia would take anything that she heard with a grain of salt. At his question, Yadi watched as the women flinched and shrunk into herself. It was an odd way to react, he thought, until she spoke and explained in very few words that she had lost a goddaughter. He showed no visible reaction to the confession but his heart broke a little bit for her. There were never enough words to express how great the loss of a child was. "My sincerest condolences." he offered with a nod. He couldn't imagine ever losing a child. Didn't even want to entertain the thought of losing Lucia. It was a heavy thing to confess to, especially to a complete stranger, but it must have been weighing heavily enough on her that she'd decided to divulge to him.

Imogen let out the slightest sigh when Yadiel gave her his condolences. She could be given as many apologies as there were people on earth, and it still wouldn't dull the pain. But that didn't mean that she had to make everyone else miserable, too. "With time, we learn to live with the unimaginable." A year ago, she never would have imagined that Ophelia would have been pregnant, or that the child would be lost. She never would have imagined herself as a godmother, but Imogen had begun to warm up the idea. She wasn't sure that death was the sort of idea that you warmed up to, but maybe one day the pain would dull. "If this isn't yours, I should probably start looking for who really owns it." Imogen said, gesturing to the almost-forgotten unicorn in her hand. "Have a good day with your daughter." She bid to him, before ducking back into the crowd and disappearing completely.
