Brandon flashed a nervous looking smile and she wiggled her eyebrows at him. "I'd say you have about twenty seconds," she said, slowly making her way toward him. "Nineteen..." she counted. She started counting down from thirty, moving toward him slowly at first but speeding up as she got to ten. "Nine! Eight! Seven! Six!" she laughed in between that part, "wait... where was I?" she asked, right before turning her broom up and attempting to kick him square in the chest with both of her feet. Just hard enough to knock him off, not hard enough to actually hurt him!

She said he had about twenty seconds and Brandon wasn't sure if she meant twenty seconds until the round ended or twenty seconds until she got him. She was creeping up to him and he was starting to feel a little nervous. She was coming after him, but he still heard her lose her place. "Five!" he called, turning his broom and trying to leave. It was no use though. He didn't know what Karen was going for, but she ended up hitting his broom. Brandon lost his balance and ended up falling off his broom after a long struggle of wobbling. It was a good thing he wasn't high off the ground at all. "You win," he called, smiling up at her. He didn't even try to get on the broom again because the bell sounded, signaling the end of the round.

He called back to tell her what number she was on, but it didn't do a lot of girl. Brandon lost his balance and ended up falling off, as she hoped, and she flew down to him, lifting her broom over her head in victory. "The champion!" she chuckled. Then she held a hand out to help him up before putting the broom back where it was supposed to go on it's stand thing, taking his as well. "I'm actually surprised I did that well... I only won because you are really not a flier, are you?" she said, trying to hold back a little laughter.

Brandon laughed when Karen joined him on the ground, laughing and raising her broom over her head as she proclaimed her victory. If it was anyone else, he might be embarrassed by his abysmal flying attempts, but this was Karen. He knew and trusted her and also knew that she wouldn't make too much fun of him for it. He took her hand, letting her help him up. Then she started mentioning that she was surprised she won. Brandon made a face at her question. "My hands don't do well with brooms," he admitted, "I guess they're too focused on my instruments or something?" He shrugged. "I've never been good in the air though. You did well enough. I mean, you beat me at least ..." he thought for a moment before muttering, "not that that is much of an achievement." They'd just have to try something else!

Brandon made that face and she laughed. He admitted not doing well with brooms, that his hands were too focused on his instruments 'or something' and she chuckled again. "Thanks," she said. "Now playing music... that's a competition I wouldn't win against anyone. Even someone who had never played," she admitted. She just didn't really have the affinity for that. She pouted at him a little, "don't feel bad, Brandon! I only beat you because you were at a disadvantage. Let's see...." she looked around, "gotta find something I'm at a disadvantage of, right?'

Brandon smiled when Karen said that playing music was a competition she wouldn't win. He shrugged, "It just goes to show that we all have different strengths and weaknesses. I'm not good at flying and you're not good at brooms. At least we can both admit it," he said honestly. It was hard to feel bad about anything when he was hanging out with Karen. He chuckled when she said that she wanted to find something she wasn't good at and shrugged his shoulders. "That sounds like a plan to me." He wouldn't mind beating her at something, though he didn't know what that would be. He looked at her curiously. "What are you not good at? Other than playing music," he winked to show he was kind of teasing.

Karen laughed. "Our weaknesses make us more interesting," she deducted. She believed it, too. "And so do our strengths, of course," she added. Then she nodded, agreeing that it was a good thing that they could both admit it. When he asked his question and winked she chuckled, shaking her head. "Um.. Dancing?" She really was having a hard time thinking of anything. She chuckled at the thought, "guess I don't have too many weaknesses if I can't think of any," she said with a small shrug, making a little face at him. "I guess I'm not the BEST at target practice... Kara is better at that," but she still wasn't the WORST though.

Brandon laughed with Karen. "I guess that's true," he agreed. "Did you expect me to be that bad in the air?" His tone was curious. He didn't think he'd ever told Karen how bad he was at flying, but he might have. "I prefer to think of my strengths. It's a lot more positive." Which kind of went without saying, but Brandon said it anyway. He knew Karen enough to know that she'd understand what he meant. He cocked an eyebrow when she mentioned dancing. "You're not good at dancing?" Brandon clarified, his curiosity back. Then he rolled his eyes and gave her a fake glare. "I guess then it's going to be my job to find your weaknesses," he teased. It would never happen. Brandon wasn't good at looking for the negative in people. He laughed, shaking his head, "Yeah, it seems like you're going to need help finding those," he teased.

Karen laughed, shaking her head as he asked if she expected him to be that bad in the air. "No, I didn't. You would think of musician would have better hand-eye coordination," she laughed. Flying was a little more about balance, which was understandable that he wasn't the best at it if he hadn't had a lot of practice. He said that he preferred to think of his strengths and she laughed again. "That's good, it keeps you confident,"she encouraged. Then he cocked that a little eyebrow when she said she wasn't good at dancing, and asked for clarification. She nodded, "yeah, that's what I said. I just haven't really ever done it," she admitted. Kara on the other hand was dancing in and out and all about but Karen did not.
Brandon glared at her with a roll of his eyes declaring that it was his job to find her weaknesses, and she held her hands up to either side, "be my guest. Better you than me. Have at me, Brandon. What do you think when weaknesses are?"

Apparently Karen found it hilarious that Brandon wasn't any good on a broom, but Brandon was starting to move past that. He even smiled at her comment. "I do have good hand, finger, eye coordination, but that's with my feet firmly on the ground. I don't have to worry about falling off of a piano or a guitar. I can just pay them." The argument made sense to Brandon but he wasn't quite sure if Karen would understand what he was trying to get at. He winked when she said looking at his strengths was a good thing because it kept him confident.
He nodded slowly when she confirmed that she wasn't good at dancing, or at least that she hadn't done it much. That was interesting. "Hmmm ... Maybe I'll just have to take you dancing sometime and then I can see for myself," he suggested curiously. Now she was practically challenging him to find a weakness of hers and Brandon was quite determined to do so. After a few moments he nodded, "Alright, I'll keep you updated and let you know what I find out."

Karen laughed even more when she picture him falling from a flying guitar. "Quidditch players should ride those instead," she joked. It was a hilarious image but completely impractical, of course. Broomsticks where the thing. Though, she wasn't sure who had decided to make brooms a magical form of transportation anyway. She was interested in flying carpets more than brooms, not that she really cared that much for either.
She nodded as he said he would take her dancing, "let's just make that deal then. And don't hold back when you find those weaknesses," she chuckled, "I'm sure there are plenty." She wasn't being insecure by any means, just realistic. Of course she had weaknesses, everyone did.

Brandon wondered what Karen was laughing at, until she mentioned that Quidditch players should ride guitars. He rolled his eyes, "That would be terrible for the strings, Karen," he teased, sort of going along with her. They both knew it wasn't a possibility, but it was also an interesting thought.
"Done. I'll take you dancing and keep an eye out for your weaknesses," he told her with a wink. It was nice just being with Karen, an old friend. He missed talking to her the last few months, but was very glad that she was back now. "So do you want to move on to something else or ..." he trailed off, not knowing what her plans were. Did she have someone else she wanted to meet or was she planning on staying here with him? Brandon had no idea.

Karen laughed even harder as he mentioned the strings, "of course THAT'S what you're worried about!" she laughed again. Then, he said he would take her dancing and keep and eye out for her weaknesses, winking at her. "Let's go dancing once you graduate and it's appropriate for you to go to clubs with a grown woman," she chuckled. She wasn't really the club type... but they could go SOMEWHERE to dance, right? Then he asked what she wanted to to next and she smiled softly, "actually, I think someone else would want to say hi," she explained. She leaned forward and gave him a big hug and then kissed his cheek. Mid-kiss, Kara took the reigns. She squeezed his shoulders tightly and made the kiss last even longer. Then, she pulled back and took off her glasses, putting them in her pocket. "MY BABY BRANDON! YOU SO CUTE," she greeted, smiling widely. @brandon (a little kara time before we wrap up

Brandon shrugged when Karen teased him about being worried for the strings on the guitar, laughing along with her. Really though, that was what he would worry about. The instruments were more important to him that the game and he wanted to make sure they were treated right, though this was all a hypothetical situation so he really shouldn't have been worried about anything in the first place. He laughed and nodded when Karen suggested that they could go dancing after he graduated. "That sounds good to me," he agreed easily, "just don't forget about it Karen, because I definitely won't." That was more a friendly warning than anything else. He barely heard her next sentence and started to hug her back before the hug changed, along with the kiss on his cheek. Kara. He smiled, unable to stop himself from laughing when she greeted him. "Hey Kara. Thanks," he responded. He knew she didn't mean it condescendingly. "You're looking great as well. How have you been?" He wasn't exactly sure if Kara would be alright talking, but he'd go along with her for the time being. It'd been a while since he last saw her, after all.

He laughed and his laugh was SO ADORABLE she couldn't even stand it. He greeted her and thanked her, she assumed for calling him cute. He said that she looked great and she feigned shyness, clasping her hands behind her back and swaying back and forth. "You shtap it," she said sweetly. "I've been good! Talking to cuties, getting back into the swing of British life," she chuckled. "Karen has really bought into the whole tea thing," she chuckled.
"Come on! Walk me toward the exit, we gotta get going," she said, reaching over to take his hand and swinging it as she started to pull him along. Then she groaned, and that groan turned into words, "whyyyy do I have to go to work tomorrowww. I want to stay here and play with you! How are you? How are things? Tell me the five most important details of the past four months. Ready go," she said, squeezing his hand.
