[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @sav words 267 notes hope its okay i tagged him in this thread i forgot i had an open thread in the common room. | Asha was ready to take on the world this year, maybe even the next year as well. She knew this year she would have to get a tutor. She has put it off too long this year. She had her owls this year, she need to try to pass them at least. She wondered who she could ask. Maybe there was a tutor thing in the library. She would have to go check. Right now she was in the common room attempting another stab at her piling homework that was due the next day. She groaned in frustration. She was not making any progress as time ticked by. She was about to lose her temper because of the frustration she was filling. She stood up and started pacing trying to clear her head and think. Work couldn't be this hard but for some reason it was. She sat back down and chewed on the pencil she had. She thought maybe she would take a break to clear her head but she has been doing that all week since she got the assignments.
She hated this. Why wasn't she good at this, ever. It pissed her off. She stood back up and paces pencil twirling in hand Then she got an idea. She grabbed another pencil she has and started drumming on her books. Asha loves music and dancing. She always had a beat in her head. Yes, she was distracted once again. She had been in there alone for a good bit of time. She hadn't realized anyone came in. She kept drumming along on her books.

Sav was exhausted after a day spent running around outside. He had felt so stuffed up and confined recently and all he wanted was a clear head and time to himself to think and figure things out. So he spent a majority of the day running. He ran around the lake and around the Quidditch Pitch, and he paused there to let himself remember how much he missed playing the sport. While the tournament was great fun, he hated that it had canceled Quidditch. Hogwarts wasn't the same without Quidditch matches. When he finally decided to throw in the towel he worked his way up the many stairs towards the Gryffindor common room with the severe desire to crawl in bed and take all of the weight of the day of his aching body.
He crawled through the portrait hole and into the common room. There were a few students sitting around immersed in either conversation or homework and one girl caught his eye. His cousin was dancing off to the side of the room, seeming to not care that anyone could see her. Sav smirked and walked over. His bed could wait until he made sure she was alright. "Asha...Asha?" he tried to get her attention as he sank into an armchair nearby. "What are you doing?" he asked with a smirk on his face.

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @tagged words 000 notes anything here. | Asha was beside herself. She really did need a tutor. Someone who could at least keep her on track when her mind drifted. All the homework was just boring to her, well except for Care of Magical Creatures. She had already finished that ages ago. The rest of this homework though wasn’t looking to good. Tomorrow she would go to the library first thing before classes and sign up for a tutor. She needed one not just to help her study but to keep her on task with the school work. She was distracted very easily. As she was drumming and dancing to the beat she was making a voice made her jump. She looked around notice there were actual people in the common room. When did they get here she thought. She found the voice that had made her jump and it was her cousin Sav. He had asked what she was doing. She grinned and said err…homework.

Sav laughed when she turned around and insisted that she was doing homework. She had a hilarious look on her face like she had been caught. He supposed she probably hadn't meant to be seen, but it was humorous none the less. "What class assigns dancing as homework?" he asked. That would be a class he would sign up for. However, he wasn't really the most graceful dancer, he was a beater, he was allowed to be clunky and large, he didn't need to be graceful, and it showed if her ever got on the dance floor. As fun as the Yule Ball was for the Gryffindor boy, it was also a nightmare and he had avoided the dance floor as much as possible. He mostly stuck to socializing by the food. "Just taking a break, I'm guessing? How much more do you have?" he asked.

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @sav words 165 notes anything here. | Her face had turned the brightest shade of red that it could manage when he asked what class assigns dancing as homework. She put the pencils down and sat in her chair. Some of her books were still opened. She shrugged her shoulders and said none really. She knew he already knew that but she felt she had to say something. After all he caught her mini dance session, when she should have been doing her homework She sighed as she ran a hand through her curls. Then he asked how much more she had to do. She bit her bottom lip not really wanting to answer that question. She had been here a couple of hours and she had accomplished nothing except some awesome dancing. Man, she really needed to focus. She sighed and looked at the ground as she very quietly answered all of it. She didn’t look up because she knew his reaction would be probably laughter. Sav found most things funny.

Sav didn't really feel bad for laughing at the girl. She was family after all, his cousin. And what was the fun of having younger cousins if you couldn't make fun of them? he knew he had embarrassed her, however, since her cheeks blushed and she sat down right away. "You didn't have to answer you know. And you don't have to feel bad, I'm just teasing." he shrugged. "If you're not in the mood for homework tonight then... put it off for tomorrow." he suggested. He always did his work, but never until the very last minute, and even then he didn't enjoy doing it. Sav wasn't a star student, he was a star athlete, but he did still had his subjects to think about. No team would hire on a 7th year recruit who failed their classes. Not to mention that his mother would disown him if he failed, there was no reason for him to. He was good at magic and good at lessons, he just hated the busy work given for homework, he never felt it benefited him.

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @sav words 000 notes anything here. | She knew Sav was just teasing. It was what he, his brother, and her older brother constantly did. Her brother was older that the twins, her cousins, and she guessed he had picked on them a bit so they felt that Asha needed the same treatment. She shrugged it off when he said don’t feel bad. It wasn’t because you caught me. It’s because of everyone else in here that I didn’t know…was in…here she said. She was used to Sav embarrassing for who knows what. She had never danced in front of people yet except her family so that was kind of embarrassing. He told her that if she wasn’t in the mood for homework then to put it off. That was the thing though she was always not in the mood or putting it off until the very last minute. She wasn’t a good student anyway and she probably needed the time to study, if she could ever focus. I guess but I always do that and miss some of the assignment. I think the professors just take pity on me and keep moving me on up every year she said knowing that wasn’t the case. She sighed twirling her pencil. So what are you doing besides sneaking up on me she asked her dear cousin.

Family had always been so important to Savtaj MacMillian. He was such a family man, even if he didn't act like it. He always wanted a wife and a family of his own, he knew it wouldn't happen for a while, he was only a 6th year, but he was excited for it to happen and he was excited to prove to the world one day that he wasn't like his father. he wanted to be there for his children, and he only wanted to have children with his wife. He never wanted to make any woman feel the way that his mother had to feel about the situation that is father put her in. "Who cares? No one's watching you." he shrugged. "Maybe you should talk to your professors, or, go talk to my mom, see if she can recommend anything. She is a professional, after all." he said. As weird as it was having his mom around all of the time while no other students did, she was handy when she was needed. And it was nice when he needed a little extra pocket money. "Oh I was just running, getting out, getting some exercise in." he explained. "Overdid myself a little so I'm feeling kind of sore." he admitted.

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @sav words 000 notes anything here. | When Sav caught her dancing around she turned red and got embarrassed. No one had ever seen her dance or sing before so it caught her off guard. Wasn’t this what she wanted to do for a living though, singing and dancing in front of people? So why was it so embarrassing now? Maybe she didn’t want people to tell her that she couldn’t do it or that she was horrible? Sav said to her who cares and that no one was watching her. Yes but you caught me so someone was watching she said. Sav gave her some suggestion about getting help with her focus. She shrugged and said I guess but nothing is going to change the fact that this is all boring to me. She smiled when he said he had been outside running and that he just overdid it a little. She loved going for runs. She always did it early in the morning before a quick quidditch practice session and at the end of the day before curfew. She still went running but nothing like she used to.

Asha said that he had caught her which meant that someone was watching, he couldn't really argue that, but he wasn't really watching more than he had just noticed her when he came in. "Yeah, but I'm family so it doesn't really count." he shrugged. "And I wasn't watching for the sake of watching, I just sat down nearby." he added. He knew that she wasn't interested in school, a lot of people weren't. He did his work and got fine grades in class mostly to make his mom happy and keep her off of his back for a while. He wasn't a great student and he didn't really care to be. "Then don't do it." he suggested with another shrug. "If it's not something you care about why are you forcing yourself to do it?" he of course knew that she had to do at least some homework so she wouldn't fail out of Hogwarts, but, he was curious to hear what she had to say and think about his comment.

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @sav words 000 notes anything here. | Sav claimed that because he was family that he didn’t count. What kind of sense did that make? Of course, it counted. He still saw her. She smiled at him. He could be a complete lunatic when he wanted, well in her eyes. But she still loved him. She sat there in her chair twiddling her thumbs. Promise not to tell anyone, only my friends who dance with me know that I dance. I don’t want people gawking at me constantly. Not until I am ready you know you know. She never told anyone that what she wanted to do was sing and dance for a living. She didn’t know what her mother would say or think, or even her father. She had no interest to work at a job that she claimed normal people would do. She wanted to entertain people, and bring them joy when she was performing. She was an artist.
He suggested to her to not do her homework. What kind of older cousin was he? The crazy kind that’s what. He should be encouraging her to finish her work. Well I can’t pass if I don’t do it now can I she said with a smile. Is that what you do, not do your work she asked with a slight smile, and then she added teasingly should I go tell Aunt Parvati that you don’t do your work.

Sav really wasn't sure why she was making this into such a big deal. It really wasn't. But he knew that young girls were very precious about the way that people saw them, and he really wasn't in the mood to explain why he thought she was making too big of a deal out of being caught dancing in the common room, so he just nodded. "I won't tell anyone." he promised, honestly though, he wasn't sure who he'd tell or why. It really wasn't a big deal and likely would never come up in conversation. She went on to say that she wouldn't pass if she didn't do her work, something that Sav knew to be false, but he wasn't sure if she would listen if he tried to tell her that, so he just kept his mouth shut as she spoke. She asked if he did his work and then asked if she needed to go tell his mother on him. Sav found that a little insulting and childish. "To be honest, no. I don't do all my work. And it doesn't really matter because I still pass, don't I? My area of interest lies far outside of the world of academics and I don't really need to be a star student to play Quidditch, now do I?" he asked his cousin with a cocked eyebrow. His mother already knew all of this, he didn't keep it hidden. He had never been a top student and never would be.

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @sav words 000 notes anything here. | He promised that he wouldn’t tell anyone. She smiled at him and did one of her little dramatic bows. Thank you Sav she said. She ran a hand through her curls thinking about her hair for a minute. What do you think of purple and blue hair Sav[/b] she asked her cousin. She was serious to. She was thinking of changing her hair color. He went into a long thing about his school work cocking his eyebrow at her. She rolled her eyes and said I was just kidding Sav. She twirled around. So you want to be a quidditch player, what do you think of doing something of not a normal wizarding job. Not for you though, for a friend of mine she said not looking at him. She wanted to talk to someone about her desire to not do a normal wizarding job. She needed to talk about this. She was worried about talking to her mother about this.

Sav was glad that him insisting that he wouldn’t tell anyone made her happy. He had no interest in upsetting her, even if he thought she was being dramatic. She was younger and as her older cousin it was possible that he would literally always think that she was being dramatic. He could only imagine what it was like having sisters… wait, he did have sisters… if he was going to get to know them better would it come with drama? He didn’t want to make judgments about women, he knew that was dangerous territory to explore. But he couldn’t help but wonder.
She asked what he thought of non-magical based jobs and he shrugged. “Depends on the job I guess. What does your friend have in mind?” he asked, cocking an eyebrow. Sav had been alive long enough to know that when someone asked something for a friend it was usually about them.

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @sav words 000 notes sorry it took me so long. | Asha was glad that she could always talk to Sav about anything. It was relaxing. She never could talk to her brother about things, it was just too weird. She stared up thinking about how that dramatic bow could be incorporated into a dance number that she had been working on. A smile played across her face as Sav’s question brought her falling back to earth. She smiled when he said the word friend. She wasn’t fooling anyone. Well…my friend was thinking about going to be a dancer and singer. She wants to do that more than anything, but she doesn’t want to disappoint her parents either. It’s a tough situation for her she blurted out all at once. She hoped that didn’t make her too obvious about this. Sav was smart though he could probably put two and two together.
